I am extremely impressed by recomposed version of Max Richter's Vivaldi Four Seasons which I was able to listen to in the Berliner Philharmonie. The felt the power of music.
This work is a miracle. I listen to it several times a week. Thanks and thanks to the great author and performing artists. Daniel Hope's violin playing stands alone. 👏💛🎻💛
"Sommer 1"... Oh mein Gott!! Ich bin jedes Mal zwischen Weinen und Freude, Gänsehaut und Staunen! Was für Emotionen! Ich möchte es immer und immer wieder hören! Danke vor allem an Daniel Hope!!! Summer 1! Oh my God!! I am every time between crying and joy, goose bumps and amazement! What emotions! I want to hear it over and over! Thanks especially to Daniel Hope !!!
Our baby boy was 20 weeks, still in his mothers belly when the doctor told us he might never learn to walk due to a complication. We made the difficult decision to stop the pregnancy. My wife gave birth to him, he lived for 1 minute, then he left us. We took him home and we were together for a week. It was the most terrible time we have ever lived through. At the cremation, I chose this song. Every time I even think about the song, it makes me sob. I feel immense beauty, despair, anger, injustice, but also a warm embrace.. I am afraid to play it too much as I want to savour these feelings. Thank you Max and all the musicians, I am so grateful for your work.
2:43 is one of the best interpretations of this piece ever. You can literally feel the music in the background growing from the floor with the drama of the violin solo rising in the middle.
Goosebumps at 3:15.. My whole body even the skin on my head.. I closed my eyes and it felt like my body is lighter than a feather.. No i didn't take drugs.. Vivaldi is just a genius..
I freaking love Max Richter. I heard the 'on the nature of daylight' in Shutter Island. That was over a year ago. Since then I have fallen in love with everything he plays. This guy is so underrated.
I love how in this peace and especially in this recording the tempo from 1:25 on to the end is very subtly but continuously decreasing. So sensitively composed (and conducted)...
I'm a little bit obsessed with this!!! I just wish this was longer!!! I notice, and I'm looking into this, the lead violinist (Daniel Hope) conducted the first bit which is the original score and back in those days of vivaldi that was normal for the conductor to be playing an instrument like the violin. But you'll notice the guy with the great beard (André De Ridder) takes over conducting when the recomposed section of the score starts.... I am utterly fascinated with this.
I know this song about summer but I felt many diffirent emotion in this version...and finally I just cryed out loud..because good and bad things attack to my memory about me ,about world and in the end I felt hope...Hope for humanity and hope for myself...you are amazing all of you..I hope one day I can join to your concert...
What a joy, this is what happens when art is alive! This composition is a monument to mankind, Mr. Hope is always amazing, and the orchestra is also superb.
Not being a massive fan of Vivaldi's four seasons due to the fact that it is grossly overplayed I came here with little to no expectations (almost not attempting to listen at all). All I can say is this piece stunned me, I had to stop half way through to begin the experience again. 1:55 gave me goosebumps, the feeling I got from that moment was so powerful. I am going to purchase this straight away! Thank you!
Christian Innerbichler...... For real! The recomposition of Vivaldi the Four Seasons is so amazing! This piece blew me away & also gave me goosebumps. I don't know how many times I've listened but I can keep playing this piece again & again & the feeling & experience is so euphoric. Listen to the Vivaldi 4 seasons Summer 3.... ALSO WILL BLOW U AWAY!
yup. This is the best version of Summer I have found. If your orchestra ever tours, let everyon know, cos we'll be there (yes I know I'm a few years late but shh) This music is timeless. If there's any way I can support this orchestra, lemme knowwwww
Here again because 1) I love 2) This music (esp. 1:55) is used in the trailer of "Illusions perdues" ("Lost illusions"), the movie by french director Xavier Giannoli which is adapted from the masterpiece by Balzac. The movie opens in french theatres on Oct. 20th
This transition at 2:42, when the violin starts playing, a person could remember his whole life in a second....
Its so moving then

Thanks for listening
1:55 yes. 2:41 oh yes. But the little flirt with doubletime at 3:26, gold.

Words fail to describe the beauty of this performance!
Tako je
Of all the goosebumpy music out there, this is the goosebumpiest.

My favorite bit too
Yeah when that bass section comes rumbling in allowing that first violin the space to really sing. Phenomenal

I've listened to this many times before: it still gives me goosebumps...
This is how all music should be, constantly evolving. Reimagining and recompising according to the tastes of each era.

Not plagiarism at all…as he says, a recomposed version.
Plagiarism doesn’t give credit to original but this does. Love it

Max Richter has honored Classical Music & Vivaldi at the same time.

I saw him playing live last weekend in SF, my whole body was shaking when they played Summer 1.
ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE
Voila pourquoi la musique est intemporel ( Merci Max Richter )
this is, in itself reason enough for the universe to exist
