Never taken the chance to say this but thank you for all you do. I'm 35 and have played on and off since I was 12, only really getting serious about it in the last few years. Never did well in school (my mind would constantly wander and I found it hard to pay attention) and as an extension, found it difficult to sit and practice something over and over. So I would learn the first three bars of a song, maybe the chorus, then get bored and move on to another song. I did this for years. At the same time, cementing all my "bad habits" (posture, positioning, all around technique) since I didn't realize I was forming them in the first place. Your channel has helped me exponentially. Not just what you teach but the way you teach it. Clear, concise and with no bs. You, sir, are The Man. Again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
I have been a heavy metal head all my life and lately I have found myself listening to more Steavie Ray and B.B. King than Mgla and Death. Electric Wizard and Sleep were my bridge, and now I am learning the blues thanks to you. You are really helping me evolve as a musician.
Geechee Woe I learn a lot from Marty too. Rick Beato I like him too. See the Beatles tune that Marty was teaching give it a look ruclips.net/video/0i1fekgBW6Q/видео.html
I'm working through your acoustic blues superclass and it's already adding so much to my playing. You put some real gems in this video, if anyone has their interest peaked here, I truly recommend taking the full course. The land of a7 adds another dimension very quickly. Thanks Marty
You have no idea how much I appreciate your teaching method, I have blown away my friend who has been playing since we were teenagers in the last year. From learning basic cords and strumming patters to finger picking, alt finger picking. Thank you
Marty, You are the best guitar teacher on UTube! You take the time & explain even the simplest progressions so everyone can develop their 🎸 skills . Keep up the great work! 👍
Marty you’re the first teacher that popped up on my RUclips search for beginner lessons over four years ago when I bought my first guitar. I have learned so much from the way you show and explain the technique of a lesson. I really appreciate your style of teaching. I’ve tried some of the other guys on here that has many videos too but I always find exactly what I’m looking for when I get back to you’re videos. Thanks man! Keep on keeping on.
Marty your videos are great. I’ve been playing the guitar on and off for a couple years and struggled with it. Started to watch your videos and they’ve done more for me than anything else, now playing and enjoying so much more thanks to you. Love the way you teach. Money is difficult, we appreciate all these videos so much to help us play and our families enjoy the sound of the acoustic guitar, much respect and gratitude 🙏
This might very well be your best lesson yet on E blues. Your easy to follow instructions are appreciated. This lesson is great for adding versatility to my playing.
I'm taking the Acoustic Blues Superclass and have to say it is perfect for learning links, turnarounds and putting it all together is a 12 bar blues sequence. The fingerstyle is a big big plus. I'm practicing in fingerstyle so this is great.
Hey Marty I just wanna thank you because for 5 or 6 years I couldn’t make a nice sound and before following your lessons I had abandoned the guitar wrapped up in plastic in my garage. Now I’m listening and playing blues thanks to you man. Please keep the lessons coming and add some soul jazz lessons like jimmy james from the delvon Lamar organ trio
I always find myself back to Marty Music, I'm not a great player by know means yet but this man has given me the best anyone could that I can understand. This man is a treasure

Marty, such a great lesson. This is so helpful for beginner/intermediate guitarists who are working on ideas and playing around with their own 12 bar improvs. Please keep doing things like this. I love learning entire songs through your teaching but these types of things are hugely valuable. Thanks!
