Full gauntlet run with the build: ruclips.net/video/gamy_djhDew/видео.html R2TK build link: www.remnant2toolkit.com/builder/cm2e4fa3h02tsqzepgj85j8hq For the build, I actually recommend dropping the points in Expertise. If you watch the gauntlet run, the drone really isn't needed to stay alive, you just need to know what attacks you can't tank (ex. OTK vomit breath). It's just there to activate Immovable. I like Spirit, especially in co-op where you might not get to damage enemies enough to get your mods back consistently. As a side note, the Dark Matter Gauntlet force waves and beam attack seem to have a base damage of 300, not 375 as the description says. This value is affected by all melee damage increases EXCEPT for the +25% that comes from buffing the gauntlets (despite that +25% working as generic melee damage for things like Ring of Spears). This is why I didn't get into talking about the damage and MV of the Dark Matter Gauntlets' laser beam - the numbers just seem a little whack.
Great info here, holy shit. I’ve been on the horrible journey of min-maxing a heavy flop damage build, and knowing why the math’s been weird is so helpful. Now if only this stupid flop would work properly with 90% of mutators …
@@incendiarypoprocks8700 lol the ultra flop build is a classic meme setup. Flopping counts as a charged melee (usually), so the best you're going to get out of it is using Tainted Blade and Energized Neck Coil + Timekeeper's Jewel. Use the Huntress Spear as well, since flops apply that weapon's corroded effect for some reason. It's still slow, but you can usually kill bosses you can reach in under 5 minutes.
@@Dainurian I’ve been trying to go the crit route, and yeah, ENC seems to be a route that may work better. I’m just trying to relive the classic R1 Ring of the Unclean One flop nukes, lol.
Is there any reason or bug why the demolition coil does not trigger consistently? Doesn't seem to contain any form of cool down, but it doesn't proc all the time for some reason. Mostly with regular charged melee with the DMG non evade charged melee attach
That's more an issue with the DMG force wave thingies being incredibly janky I think; their hotbox is just so inconsistent. The only boss I've had Demo Coil not work consistently on is Sha'Hala.
@Dainurian You are right. I used it just to mob around while exploring, and if the enemy is too close, close enough for you to punch it, it will not proc, you have to hit with the shockwave only. But there are several inconsistencies. For example, sometimes when neutral evading, it will not trigger the special attack charge, regardless of how much stamina you have...
One other funny thing I noticed that having just 1 stack of Overdrive gives its max crit dmg bonus to all attacks from Dark Matter Gauntlets. Crit chance doesn't seem to apply that way though.
@@HolyKaymak the crit damage bonus from Overdrive lvl 10 is a passive, it just straight up increases your melee crit multiplier by +25% at all times (even works on Ring of Spears). The +25% crit chance is what needs to be stacked by landing critical hits.
@@HolyKaymak I'm pretty sure Overdrive used to have a critical damage portion that stacked too (total +50% crit damage at max stacks with the passive). It got removed in the great crit nerfing iirc. Wiki update history has a note about removing the melee crit damage bonus.

I love these deep dive into the mechanics of the game. Really helps you understand what's happening and why it's happening
