That is such an elegant and delicate form, Gary. I hate to say cute, but the size gives it an adjective I can't think of. As always, excellent info on a clean finish with padauk. Your side grain and parting tool and the risk of it snapping off is not something I've considered. Most often my parting tool is used for its namesake on spindle turnings, other than establishing lines. Thank you for that lesson.
So, now you've made segmented turning possible for a guy like me, with just a laser burner which is justifiable for many other reasons. I'll let my wife know to put a burner on my father's day gift idea list. I hope spring rolls in for you and for us on the prairies, soon. Be well.

Thanks Phil. Another fun project for me that I have been thinking about for awhile. I was sure looking forward to cutting them.
Those are the same rings I showed in the Atezr video. They just sat there waiting for me to finish.
We got a ton of snow and PDX had a record amount yesterday.
Not bad today but it was 22 degrees this morning when I got up.
      Thanks for watching my friend,

Thank you for another wonderful result. Using the Laser to cut the rings is an inspiration and another use for the newest tool in our kit. Your right, if we want to see a Laser cut wood, there are several examples already on several channels including yours. Stay warm, winter seems like it will never end in Arkansas.

👍👍. I am going to make this in the near future. I will cut the discs on the laser but will also laser the alignment circle for reference when aligning. Very fast and accurate.

Thank you very much. That is a great idea using the laser to mark for alignment. Most of the line will disappear under the glue but as long as you can see some it will help for sure.

Yes as long as you can see it you can make it concentric to the ring you are gluing it on. That is what I did with the pencil line. it was about 1/16" larger than the ring I was gluing it onto.

Hi Billy, happy you liked it. It is worth a lot and I agree but more important my wife really liked it and I showed her two options and she liked this one the best. Funny thing I had played around with the same number of rings on the stem and the short bottom. Less rings and the longer base. Then when back to all the rings and the longer base. That is what I love about the software. Click click click and I can see it in all those options.
