  • A patch for creating "Fripp-style" soundscapes with the Helix - I think this one is better than my previous efforts.
It's all pretty straight forward, with 2 Snapshots:
Snap 1 - Soundscape: This is where you use the volume pedal to fade in your notes to create the soundscapes. The patch uses the Synth-o-matic block, so you are limited to one note at a time.
Snap 2 - Reset: This kills the feeds from the delays, and sets their times to zero. The final reverb also jumps to 39 sec long and 100% wet for a way to "finish" the soundscape - a nice long fade out.
There are blocks for octave up or down for the synth. You can also bypass the delays(with trails on) if you want to play over the top of the soundscape you created.
That's it basically. Use as is, or tweak away. You will need at least Helix FW 3.70 to use this patch.
Download this patch - and any of my others - at line6.com/cust...
All played live in one take - no external FX or trickery used.

That's really lovely, and yeah, it does sound very Fripp-like. At the end, it reads "Copyright 2004." Is that right? In any case, very glad to hear this one, Chris!
