Best song ever in my opinion there's something about it that's really awesome because I grew up playing this game. The sound at 13-16 seconds seems really awesome and it represents something like your travelling alone trying to find something or your practicing something or always genuinely loving someone or something with nostalgic interest.

@Rhinoch8 ...? It's fundamentally the same game as Aoe2 except with more units and a bigger difference between civs? The only thing it really lacks is gates and rally points compared to 2. Otherwise, It's better and has much more to offer in terms of gameplay because all the civs require different strategies. (well, apart from mass priests. That you can do with everyone)
I have a problem, I found the disc, I installed this in windows vista and everything is ok but there is no backgrount music.... is really so hard to enjoy this without the awesome soundtrack...sounds are just fine but there is no music.HELP please if you know how to restore it!

Taking a moment to appreciate the mix on this soundtrack. This game came out in ‘98 but the music still sounds godly on headphones.

Solid mix of different regional instruments, not just a purely "European" sound. Gives all the civs a bit of love.

This is my favourite part of the age of empires music. and 0:58 to 2:00 is the best part of that. AoE2 music is great on the train.

I love AoE3, that's not true. Mainly just because the ACTUAL difference in the Japanese units, but still.
I loved Age 3 for the cannon physics alone.

Well it's mainly infantry... so mass handcannons would be great. And some pikeman would take care of the rest, they have a bonus attack after all.
