Forgive me for asking too much, but it would be amazing if you could list out the names of all the instruments, as some of the instruments we've never seen before and don't know what they are called. PS - I wonder how musicians who may have never played or heard about this or any other game, find out about these OSTs?
Cheers! Yeah that always frustrates me when musicians add unnecessary bits too - the soundtrack is already great as it is, just needs real instruments instead of MIDI! I used to play the game when I was a teenager so know the music through that. The instruments are: Kalimba/Mbira, Djembe, Bongos, sandpaper (lol), shaker, Celtic harp, glockenspiel, fretless bass, didgeridoo, ratchet, floor tom, guitar, cymbals, banjo
Yes, especially how the version in DE kills the articulations and the grooves. It makes me sad to listen to the in game version after hearing this one.

@RichSpectrumSounds for Age of empires 1 I recommend track #5 and #6 which captures the essence of it quite well and it would be easy to make a video with because they are relatively slow with few instruments For age of mythology I recommend the whole soundtrack. It's a masterpiece. Any song is great!
Hearing this feels like the first time I played AOE II against machinen 4 vs 4 and I was scared what could be and after try and error, I learned about proper times and efficiency to defeat the AIs.
