Man I miss your content. Rest in peace James 😞
950 Lumens for 15 days... I don't know why but that's the most impressive part for me.
Exactly
Bright flashlights like this have been on my radar. They seem like a good deterrent on some peaceful protestors. This thing would be blinding to people at night.
That looks like would be a good light to have on board a boat. The throw would help you search for a man overboard. Maybe a little much for your pond's canoe though :)
Should be able to find some of those glowy XS sights that fell off guns on the range with that light.
The neighbors are gonna love when I shine this down the street trying to find the cat again.
Thanks for the review on this light I definitely need one after watching this . Thank you brother James
That is a fucking winner for search and rescue.
Does this light come with a weapon mount and tape switch?
Hell, it's pretty much a weapon by itself! Haha.
And this folks is what you use against Gremlins! Gizmo does not approve! Bright light bright light
That thing would be awesome hanging from a drone over your campsite while you set everything up
Gizmo’s Barbie cart would’ve been really cool
Just How bright is it? Yeager: "It's crazy bright."
Lumens are great and all, what I’m more interested in are the candela numbers?
Candela by itself doesn't tell you the whole story either- but the rating is on their website, 103,000 candela for the Destroyer.
@@kc8omg And lumens don’t tell the story either. It’s more of a marketing tool to the uninformed public. Most people don’t understand and can’t determine what the ratings mean.
@@theoriginaljohngalt2450 That's essentially what I was trying to get at- I've just seen a lot of posts lately of people that, after finding out "lumens" is often just used for marketing, have latched onto "candela" as somehow being better or more correct, when it has similar issues when viewed by itself. It's like trying to buy a truck only looking at horsepower or torque, neither gives a good picture of the whole vehicle.
@@kc8omg I’m with you. Vehicle engines are an even more difficult beast to uncover due to transmission gearing and differential gearing. Along with engine power as opposed wheel power. So many different factors that the public is blissfully unaware of. As a mechanic I’ve seen people say the dumbest things about how fast something is along with torque and horsepower figures.
If you understand light measurement lumens are what is important.
is this one out tho? the destroyer they have on their site looks different
James if someone's daily life consists of equal parts small city farm fields and light woods and they wanted a search and rescue light would you recommend this one or a different one ?
The HunterXL is a bit more portable.
James has a video called pocket spotlights from power tac, if you click the link under his video, I think you can still get 40% off on the Huntsman XLT.
gonna look cool on a G26
Yes, and on the nightstand 🌆
I don’t know what it is about guns and flashlights! I want them ALLLLL!!
I’d love to see a test that shows 950 lumens for 15 days. Car headlights will not even stay on for that long. I wonder if it’s digitally regulated or the lumens drop off after a predetermined time.
It's probably figured through an equation of run time with mah rating. Would be nice to see it tested though.
Probably thermally regulated, whilst it has a lot of mass for heat dissipation, if not regulated it'll kill the LED and/or battery. No flashlight company has figured out how to defy the laws of physics yet.
@@RenThraysk That’s another question I had about it too. How hot does, not just the head of the light, but the body get while on any of the modes.
How hot does it get?
It gets warm, but the Destroyer has an advanced heat deterrent design which includes a caged fan (think of the graphics card in your computer) which will engage so as to not let you be stranded without light due to a heating issue. Pretty cool.
All good!
That one should be in a Star Wars movie! Now if I can just sneak it past my wife.....
I think that's brighter than the sun! Cool light 👍🇺🇸🐍💪
Now let's mount it on my rifle 😅
That's badass for sure! 🇺🇸
I need it!
Bigfoot does not stand a chance with that light. :)
Do they make an AR 15 mount for it? Mount it like an M203!!! Lol.
Nice
