Drywalldoc.com's Shannon Cook will show you exactly how to repair a wall and what materials are required to correctly float out drywall torn open from Black Tar glue that mirror installers use.
    Tools and Materials used are:
    Mud Pan
    6" drywall knife
    12" drywall knife
5 Minute Hot Mud by Marco but use or Lowes brand will work also, I explain hot types of mud and how to mix 5 minute mud in a pan in the video.
Oil Based Primer- my favorite primer got discontinued this summer but I explain what other primers will work also.

Great video! All my years of DIYing and never thought of priming over the torn drywall . . . I am getting ready to take down a mirror that is glued on and this will help immensely with the repairs.

Did you leave the wallpaper up and mud over it? I'm trying to learn. TIA.

As long as the wallpaper is stuck to the wall good and not trying to fall off, then yes I’ll leave it up and prime over it with an oil based primer to lock it in then I’ll mud it over it
