Great video on JFK halves! I broke into my 1970-D mint set and sent it to ANACS for encapsulating. Came back as MS-65. Numismatic News price list (Sep 2018)has it for $100. Thanks for the video, keep it up!

Doing my thing with my coins, I keep my computer tuned into the coin videos so as to pick up a little knowledge along the way. And low and behold he your video pops up and I'm like, finally, a video on Kennedy half dollars. So you start in on your sh peal about this, that and the other thing concerning these damn half dollars I just have no use for outside of using them at the laundrymat, and out of no where you start kicking info that's pertaining to my coins. 1967 kennedy half dollar. On the front the St (of trust) is barely existent (as is the ridge around edge near it) I suppose it could be from wear, but really doesn't appear to be as the rest of the coin is good shape, can even still see lines in his hair...ever heard of any misprints like that?
How can i find out the value of my coins and where can i sell it without being ripped off or ripping others off. I have 1 1997 D Half dollar, 3 1979 silver dollars and 16 gold dollars. Btw your voice is hella calm and sounds cute
1976 didn't have silver coins like you said. When the mint was still making 40% half dollars in the 60s, a couple planchets fell out of a cart and the mint has a cleanup every few years and they find planchets that when they clean then dump the planchets found on the ground or under some machines into the minting hopper after the cleanup years later. You new nothing about the last two half dollars. In 1970, the mint had complete control of all silver planchets they used in the mint sets. The 1971 silver half dollar could only come from, like I said earlier, a dropped 40% and some fell in some cracks or under another machine or something planchet during 1965-1969, and then was placed in a minting hopper after cleanup of the mint in 1971. Some places of the mint aren't cleaned up sometimes so a silver planchet can be found any amount of years later.
Ok like i said, the mint controlled those 40% planchets, since those were for mint sets only. After the year was done, they melted the planchets and sold them as silver buillion or turned them into other silver eagle coins or something. PLUS, the silver bicentenial mint sets only came from San Fransisco. And if you haven't noticed, the 40% transition arrors in this video have only came from denver, the only mint that made 40% silver half dollars for circulation. You shoild watch the copper penny transitional error videos by BlueRidgeSilverhound👍
Thanks for commenting! I try to make the videos the best that they can be and it's important to have people like you comment on them so other people can understand. Appreciate the support!
Would a 1977 d 40perc be worth more if it has a stamp error on it over the 7s and the s is a raised rim but the surface of the coin is untouched the last 7 and s are pushed in and raised to a cresent rim to match the outer rim.. haven't seen any like it on you tube
Went to bank today only had 1 roll of half dollars and found 4 66-69 40% silvers in one roll . Thats like 30$ i can bring back the 16 and get 8$ so its like spending 2$ for 20$ worth of silver . 1000% wish my cripto trades went as well .
How can someone tell if they have a worn circulated proof coin when the luster has worn off the coin but it appears shinier than its Denver Mint counterpart but does not have a mint mark

Is it possible for 1966 and 1968 Kennedy Half Dollars to be silver? Or could the copper(?) around the edges have worn off? I have two 1966 and one 1968 D that have silver edges.
Yes! Kennedy Half Dollars made from 1965-1970 (and that #1 coin transitional error) are 40% silver - pre-1965 halves are 90%, but the coins you have are also definitely silver.
I was also wondering if there are any noteworthy details with the Franklin Half Dollars. I haven’t been able to find very much information on them. Thank you for your time!
Glad to help... Franklin Halves are one of the few sets with no real key date coins. I looked around online quickly and there were a few examples of Double Die coins found as well as repunched mint-marks (when the mint mark is essentially doubled), but there isn't any error (as far as I can tell) on a larger scale (think 1955 double die / 1922 no-d pennies or 1942/41 mercury dime)
