Nice intro to ON1 24. I would love to see how much Brilliance AI did for this image. I would also really appreciate a video (or even some videos) on masking in ON1 24.

TY Anthony for this video. As an experienced OPR user I quite often find myself still strugling with masking (compared to LR or PS). I would really appreciate it if you make videos on this subject. Thanks again.

Thanks for this basic edit great for newcomers.
I would like to see some demos on how to refine masks, including the masks made by brilliance AI as I think a lot of casual users will use brilliance AI as a starting point.
Layers would also be a great series on how to use, like should one just keep adding effects like in this demo or should / why some should be on individual layers in the top layer pane

Thank you, Anthony. i think you are the best and most interesting instructor out there.
Now, in your video 10 months ago, 5 steps to edit in On1, you said that the order of noice reduction isn’t important when working with an integrated piece of software. So I was puzzled when you in this video mention that you would do noice reduction at the start, IF it had been important for your photo?
You also mentioned the personal style preset(s) coming sometime later. I was of the understanding that the use of a preset would override any prior editing. But you seemed to want to use this personalized preset after your initial tone and color editing. Could you comment on this?

    Hi, Antony.
    Yes please bring them on.
I want to learn this program en use it only.
Now I still have Lightroom and Photoshop.
But I want to go to one program to edit and organize my pictures.
    Greetings from the Netherlands,
    Antoine.

I hope to give the 2024 a trial soon. Appreciate your editing example very much - give a good head start for giving the trial a go. I am interested in editing images in ON1 of birds, wildlife, and/or insects close-ups/macros of butterflies, dragonflies or other insects. Thanks very much Anthony.

Thanks for the workflows, Anthony! I just upgraded to 2024 yesterday and want to incorporate the software into my compositions more frequently than I have been doing in the past. I am becoming more comfortable with its stand-alone usage as I progress thru the instructional videos such as this one you presented! This video was very helpful!

Good video. I understand that ON1 Raw 2024 maybe a mix of LR, PS and Neo... but for some reason I can't make my images look near as good in ON1 as I can Luminar Neo. Also, the Brilliance AI in ON1 makes my images look horrible. I don't have that problem with the Enhance AI in Neo.
Update: I did find a few that Brilliance AI finally worked on. It was images that I didn't use a flash on. But when I use an outdoor off camera flash, for some reason it makes the Brilliance AI go haywire... and I mean haywire to the point of laughable!

Great video! I’m glad to see that highlight recovery is now working properly. Yes, I would like to see move ON1 videos. I would specifically like to see round trip edits from Apple Photos to ON1 Photo Max (I.e. the ON1 plugins). However, no editing in Apple Photos, just use it to “manage” photos. Thanks.

I just discovered a way to show the clipping and not using the J key. In the levels tab where it shows the histogram there are two little buttons in the histogram area. If you click them it turns on the clipping all the time. Just an FYI.

I would like more editing videos. I especially liked your maneuvering process through the various filters and how and when to use and turn them on and off. As with any new system, it’s evolving one’s own work flow that counts. What you show is the “getting there” that I like. Not hard fast rules, but the info to get there.
PS one of their claims is plug-ins. I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make Luminar Neo a plugin. Could you explain?

Great video! Always like the way you go through using the various sliders, effects, etc. I have noticed that the panoramic portion of ON1 is very particular about the photos you use and the quantity. I normally go to Lightroom which handles panoramas much better. Perhaps, I am not using ON1 properly. Could you do a short on the panoramic tool? That would be appreciated.

Don't know if its my imagination but am I seeing a hallow around the buildings and sky on the right side of the image. Can't image the sky was that perfectly matched with the building. How would you fix that. Blur or just go into mask and play with the level sliders.

Anthony, you mention going to preferences and turning on the setting to save side car files.
If you do this, does it go ahead and save sidecar files retrospectively for the whole catalogue, OR does it only save side cars for future edits from the time you turn it on?

Question: You mentioned that On1 stores your edits in the catalog and, optionally, in a sidecar file. Does that include if you are using the DNG file format? I'm under the impression that that info is stored in the DNG file.

I don't like the way they changed the UI all around. It seems like they just changed things for the sake of changing things, because I don’t see any significant improvement in quality of the tools.
