    I just got a pair to go with my GT AXE-16000.
    One will be wired and then the other wireless from the GT6 node.
    I know this isn't wifi6e like the AXE-16000, but I don't use the 6E on that anyway.
    If/when faster than 1gb speeds become available here, I'll then swap the two GT6's out to something else.

    Do you have a recommendation on a modem or does that not really matter. I have 1 gbps at home and wondered if there’s a particular modem you thought would pair well with this mesh.

    • @landpet

      If the modem is providing 1Gbps then that's all you need. This thing should pair with just about any modem.

    How does it compare to the Asus ET12? I live in a 2 story 1300 sq ft home so distance is not that huge of a concern but my old router is a Asus RT-AC66U and my ISP is only providing 500 mbps. Should I get this one right now I can buy directly from ASUS for $471 out the door or should I spent around $780 for the ET12? thank you 👌🏼

      I can but that's really what a speed test is, it's transferring data and measuring the speed of the transfer.

    Just got the Tp link XE200 with fiber optics. Should I use Moca adapter 2.5 gig for the co-ax I have already around the house? And will that be as good as ethernet? Or should I just stick with 6ghz backhaul. Also with the Moca adapter can I plug it into any coax jack on one side of the house and plug it into another coax jack on the other side of the house for it to work? Also I’d like to add another Deco in my garage but that cannot be wired for sure. Therefore how will my setup work if I use ethernet backhaul using Moca 2.5 coax adapter between XE200 and putting another different deco (probably a deco that is a bit cheaper since it’s only for garage and I don’t need that much power right) in the garage using wireless backhaul effect my network? Or should I not even get Moca Adapter and stick with 6ghz backhaul (the xe200 nodes will be around 35-40ft from each other). Or should I just do the MoCA for the two XE200s and just do wireless in garage. Also does the XE200s 6ghz Wifi not go to the same SSID as 2.4 and 5GHz ? Did they change that or is it still like that? Also in your opinion what is the”best” mesh system. I did my research and watched your videos and found that XE200 seems to be most powerful, consistent, and reliable.

    • @landpet
      @landpet  Год назад

      I would try wireless backhaul first, if you’re unhappy with the speeds, then you can get a MoCA adapter. You can go anywhere in your house with MoCA as long as the coax is connected to each other.

      @@landpet Thank you and for my third mesh deco should I get another wifi 6e like a xe75 ?for the 6ghz backhaul because if I get one that isn’t wifi 6e wouldn’t it make my 5GHz band worse which is what I’ll be using? Also is the wireless backhaul really good on the xe200? And will adding the third mesh create an extra hop?

    I am upgrading from Orbi RBK50 (great for 5 years now but not getting half of what we pay for in ISP internet speed). We work from home with virtual meetings, do a lot of console gaming, and streaming. 1GB internet speed. 2500 square foot two level home. Mesh connected via wired MoCa adapters. No 6E devices as of now, but hoping to get 5 years out of this next system too. I’m trying not to pay for more than we’d be able to benefit from. Would you recommend this ROG GT6 setup, the XT12, or ET12? Love Orbi, but seems they may be overpriced for similar performance. Thanks in advance!

    • @landpet

      Both great, asus has more options and solid wireless backhaul numbers. Deco has WiFi 6E support with solid wireless backhaul numbers with less options. Both are amazing, so depends what you’re looking for, I would probably opt for the cheaper price option since you can’t go wrong with either.

    • @landpet

    I'm using the node about 15-20 feet away from the one that's acting as the router and I'm getting 300 download and 150 upload on my xbox using wired backhaul. This is crap! Clearpath from node and router and I have the full gig from my modem. What did I do wrong?

    • @landpet
      @landpet  3 дня назад

      I'm trying to remember if this one had a dedicated channel for wireless backhaul.
      So you have the xbox connected via ethernet to the wireless backhaul node I imagine based on what I'm reading. What was your XBOX speeds before all of this? Keep in mind, sometimes the device itself is not that great.
      If the device was getting much faster speeds before, then check to see where the GT6 is placed, is it behind something, hiding somewhere or is super close to other electronics like a TV or some speaker? You want these mesh systems to be more of an open spot. Also check if the third band can be used as a dedicated wireless backhaul.
      Hope this helps!
      This GT6 is a very good mesh system from what I remember

    Do I need an Internet greater than 5G or with 5G does it work too??
    Also, it needs to be connected to my Internet, right??

    • @landpet
      @landpet  Год назад

      Yes you need internet access. When I mention 5GHz, I'm referring to the WiFi Band, it doesn't have anything to do with 5Gbps Internet Speeds. This will work for any Internet speeds up to 2.5Gbps, anything faster than 2.5Gbps, this will cap out at 2.5Gbps, you will want a different router with a faster port like the Orbi RBKE963 or Deco XE200.
