Milly and Molly save a tadpole. But as the tadpole grows, the problem of where to keep the amphibian becomes more difficult. There is only one place the girls can find which is suitable: the school playground. Unfortunately, this location is used by the soccer team and a frog’s habitat isn’t compatible with stomping football boots. Milly and Molly have to put on their problem-solving hats so the frog can live happily ever after. Milly and Molly are best friends of ethnically diverse backgrounds who live in a small unnamed town in the countryside. Each day the girls and all their friends experience new adventures that teach them valuable life-lessons. Their stories deal with the kinds of questions and trials that children face every day-and offer understanding in such matters as honesty, respect for others, difference, tenacity, exercise, cooperation, respect for nature, bullying, stranger danger, forgiveness, trustworthiness, responsibility, loyalty, loss, and grief-and many other areas that are challenging to young children.
