My great uncle used to play and beat this game years ago back when I was 3 years or older. And that was maybe before 2010. He was probably still playing it when me and my twin brother started playing this more, but as that continued on, it seemed like he retired from Toca 2. (Not entirely sure tho). Then two or three years ago, I officially beaten career mode by 95% or 98% of the game since I didn’t want to do the last part of the game. Beating Stellan for me at least is beating the game. Now in 2021 at age 16, I’m playing it again to beat career mode because some of the races in career mode were completed by my twin brother so to prove I actually beat, I have to 98% the game myself. My brother beat the game twice or more before I beat it since my brother, when it comes to Toca, is like an expert. Toca 2 in my book will always be one of the hardest and greatest racing games ever.
It is a pity that the game does not work with controls or steering wheels, well, if it has the function, but when you connect the control / steering wheel, it simply does not work. I tried it with different controls and steering wheels but nothing. For the rest the game is VERY GOOD, for example you can configure all cars to be with manual transmission WITH CLUTCH, and that does not have all the games. This game is VERY REALISTIC, that is, it is not like Need For Speed. I like it to be realistic, well, for something it's called Racing Simulator ... There's Toca Race driver 3, but basically it's the same, that is, the graphics are not better. What I can say is that Toca Race Driver 3 is a bit macho ... To me the game in those days cost me less than 10 (EUROS). I recently bought it again because it was scratched (the DVD), and it cost me 1.50 ... The game deserves a higher price, but equally, it is a worthwhile game.
Oh lord I've been looking for this for a long time. Not actively, though. Which is actually sort of sad, because it took one search on youtube and a click on the first result to get it. Oh well. Music is still great.
@@BlackKyurem5 Yep. They even advertised that on the back of the manuals where you could call CM's hotline. And I think that already started with the old Toca Touring Cars games, except the codes weren't individualized it was the case with Race Driver 1.
An special file, here's the link for download. You have to replace this fyle (SaveData_1_1.rd2) in File Programms(x86)/Toca Race Driver 2 www.savegameworld.com/pc-toca-race-driver-2-ultimate-racing-simulator-save-game/

I am still seriously considering buying this game, despite its age. Thank you for the menu music upload. :-)
+ZemplinTemplar Great on Xbox Live back in the days. But single player is as awesome anyway!!
do you know where I can find the music that's played during while loading/map?

Old times...
I remember I had this on Xbox and PSP and as a kid I’d load the game up just so I could listen to the tune on the go haha 😆
Just play PSP version and play it emulator (PPSSPP)

anyone else notice that the trailer is more or less the same as the one in DIRT 2 lol
PaperTrail08 I did notice that! There's just a couple things flipped around
Well, these games both are made by Codemasters.
@PaperTrail08
Holy shit! You're right :O
wasnt this the game where you had to pay to receive cheat codes? lol
That was 3, but yeah that part is very eh
@@BlackKyurem5 It was every game in the series
@@FloosWorld_AoE Really? I couldn't find any cheat code options in 1 or 2

Got this gamę on my PSP. Better than Gran Turismo for PSP. Says it a GT fan.
I'll prove them to write code, but it was not me ..
Hello, I want to ask how you did 100% complete? I had a maximum 08%

lol
I hated this game. Much preferred the original Race Driver.
Doomotron I grew up playing this. Imo its the 2nd best in the series behind race driver 3.
Well, at least TRD2 has some understandable physics.....
