Smoothie Consumption Suggestion: Chew every mouthful of a smoothie. May seem a bit counterintuitive for food that is blended, but it really helps me. Also, I sometimes stir in a bit of extra oatmeal after the smoothie is blended, which encourages chewing. 😃🥰
Hi Vestadorado, thanks for watching! Congratulations on beginning your plant based journey; my advice is to head to the cookbook section of the library- there are so many great options, have fun with the new recipes 😃
Hello! I’d like to more thoroughly answer one of Jeremy’s questions, “What did I eat before going plant based?” My meals included meat at least once every day; I used real dairy and butter in things like mashed potatoes; we would use butter on veggies; and I was less aware of unhealthy types (hydrogenated) of plant fats. I now make mashed potatoes with almond milk, have come to love all sorts of veggies without any butter, and focus on healthy fats like walnuts and avocados. Thanks for watching! Peace ☮️
Hello, I am a new pb diet practitioner. I enjoy my new taste. My wonderful Iyenga yoga teacher mentioned the You Are What You Eat Netflix tv series a month ago. I was so appalled by how those animals were raised. That’s what got me started this new journey. Autoimmune diseases ran in both sides of my parents. I have HLAb 27 gene which predisposes me to inflammation. You two are just such awesome human beings ❤and so so inspiring. Thank you for making this video and sharing your incredible stories, wisdom and ingenuity. I am sure this video is going to help change a lot of lives for the better. You are putting social media to great use.
I’m so tired of this insane constant pain. I hope giving up dairy really helps! I have so many questions! Allergic to mango, avocado too. I’m supposed to purée. Well now I know why the collagen hasn’t helped. I already bought my Vitamix! Still in the box. Hoping I can figure it out. Hubby is a frying type. I stopped frying his grits though. And if he wants fried anything he’s got to make it himself. Thank you Jeremy and Alexandra! I’m inspired!
What a fantastic video! I just want to thank Alexandra for being so real and so encouraging! She’s a gem, and i could have listened to her for hours! Thank you for all of your hard work, Jeremy… you’ve made such a difference in my life!
Hi Christinelid, thank you for watching and for your kind comments! I encourage you to share your journey with others as well, we are all stronger as a community ☮️
Well, that was very inspiring. After not doing well after my first knee replacement last year (exhaustion, loss of 20+ pounds, GI problems), I was much more cognizant of food issues this time around. I also counted calories for a while and tracked my protein because I can't eat that much at a time anyways and with surgery/painkillers, my appetite was not great. Things went much better this time around just staying on top of things so my body could heal. Used Cronometer to track my macros and it wasn't too hard, really.
I’m 72 and am recovering from a broken femur. Holy heck! This woman’s plight makes my pain a tiptoe through the tulips. I absolutely cringed while she was describing her pain-how awful! My heart goes out to her! What would child bearing do in this condition? Child bearing can be tough for healthy women.
Hi Lanalorenzen, you are right - child bearing was excruciating. I was not yet diagnosed while bearing children, so I just endured the pain, because we loved our children so much 🩷 I’m so sorry you are recovering from such a painful injury, and wishing you a thorough recovery. Your pain is as valid as anyone’s, I hope you have all the support you need ☮️
Echoing what Alexandra said, just because someone else's pain seems bigger than yours doesn't make it more important than your own. Sorry to hear about your femur!
Hey@@alexandrawalters8953 I'm just now watching PB with J's latest and he mentioned you are from Massachusetts. I am also. I'm from central Mass (Worcester). Nice to know there's a kindred spirit that's also a resident of the Commonwealth. ☮
@@alexandrawalters8953 yes, it’s pretty awesome! I usually go every year. I remember one of the first Vegfestswhen Michael Greger was the speaker, before he hit the big time. If you think of going this year let me know if you’d like to meet up.
Hi Cheriyost, thank you for your kind compliment! I believe we all have valuable experiences to share, and I’m grateful for this chance to share my story ☮️
Quote journal. My birthday is in March. I’m expecting my results by then. Fritz is awesome btw. Had to mention the cookie dough! Way to go Sandy! I’m so happy for you!🤗 Kind of like the carrot hotdog. I never expected it to taste exactly like a real one. I was not expecting a super salty carrot though. Yucked my yum.
Hi Mariancallahan, my bread recipe is always evolving; but its basic ingredients are whole wheat flour, freshly ground oat flour (oats in the Vitamix), applesauce, a small amount of oil, yeast, salt, and wheat germ. Have fun, and make the recipe your own 😃
I wonder if Alexandra has come across Dr Goldner and her protocol. It is worth a try. It is basically RAW greens/cruciferous amongst other things such as chia seeds and small amounts of fruit as the cooked foods may be hindering her final healing. Dr Goldner is on youtube and she has a few books too. Very successful patients. ❤❤ thanks Jeremy for this interview.
I follow Dr Goldner too and was wondering the same. Cooked foods, rice and grains can be very inflammatory and eliminating those may help her heal more. Just extra information to look into if interested. I’m not here to yuck anyone’s yum! I love watching Jeremy as I do eat some cooked food on Dr G’s hyper nourishing protocol. Great interview!
Hi scotlandredd, thanks for watching! Pumpkin seeds are also very nutritious, keep going and trying new whole plant based foods. The more diverse, the better 😁
I just filled up my virtual shopping cart with some good stuff while listening to this 😊😋
What'd you get???
Quinoa, squash, sweet potatoes, kale, mushrooms, non-fortified nutritional yeast, red onion, broccoli, pigeon peas, butter beans, chickpeas, guacamole, tomato sauce, bananas, walnuts, frozen peppers and onions, beets and pasta.
Nice
Great haul!
Amazing story! Thank you1 ❤
