Happy Marimba, rocks - shades of warm light hearted, rhythmic Africa! Bright, cool Xylophone and Vibraphone make the world jive in a fluid light of joyful music. Love this branching out into experiencing other musical instruments. Great vid James.
Bernard Fitzpatrick I will be uploading the first video of my concert marimba on Sunday morning. I hope you will have the chance to check it out, it really is unbelievable!!!
It's something that I just came up with a few minutes before making this video, but the xylophone was just all made up on the spot hoping it would fit in O.K.
Well, you certainly have talent to do all of that! I thought the xylophone blended very well with your backing track, I truly enjoyed it! Well done!! :D
Hey dude, new hairstyle. You look very handsome :) A new force to reckon with - look out world ! Looping talent gets uncovered, wow James you never cease to amaze :)
Be SURE, and I mean S-U-R-E to track down a wonderful Capitol LP (in the "Capitol of the World" series) from the 1950s that is titled "Marimbas mexicanas". It is an ensemble of marimbas playing the most charming Mexican marimba numbers imaginable, and it's quite authentic to Mexican and Guatemalan marimba style. Unbelievably good.
In an upcoming video I talk about xylophone, vibraphone, marimba, and glockenspiel. In that video I will show examples of each one, and also perform on each one as well as tell why all of them have there particular advantages. This will be filmed when I return to the studio in Tennessee, and be uploaded shortly afterward.
Marimba & Xylophone both are using wood plate to make sound but the body of Marimba is longer(More Key) and the xylophone is shorter. The Vibraphone & Glockenspiel both are using steel plate to make sound but the body of Vibraphone is longer than the Glockenspiel.
Yes it fits....xylophones add so much texture😎
That opening filled me with joy.
To God be the glory!

I'm looking forward to furthering my percussion instrument education. Your playing and videos are great!
Tres cool!
Love your riff! Ah, I hope you get also a metal drum from the Caribbean. I bet you could play about any instrument!
I can't play all instruments, but I get a kick out of trying!
Interesting
What’s the difference between the xylophone and a marimba? It would be awesome if you could do a video showing comparing the two.

4:18 How tall are you? Do you still play drums and guitar?
I try to play the guitar, and drums everyday.
What is Metallophone?
A metallophone is any musical instrument consisting of tuned metal bars which are struck to make sound, usually with a mallet.
According to Wikipedia.

Or it’s a phone only used to call members of Metallica 🤘🏻
