What is the difference between Night Breaker 200 and Night Breaker Laser, in terms of technology or applications? Which product is aimed for what? If you understand what I mean.
Both aim for the same thing. To offer you light on the roads when you drive :). Night Breaker 200 bright in for the first time on Osram, the mirror silver cap on top of the bulb, just like the Philips did on their bulbs, starting with the X-tremeVision line. This allowed them to achieve a very good light, similar to the one offered by Philips RacingVision GT200. Now it all comes down to the price. That's why I recommend people to buy the cheapest +200% halogen out of these 2.
Very good presentation, can I ask you something, between osram night braker 200+200% and philips racing vision 150% which you prefer? My car have h4 bulbs, and I also consider to buy philips white vision but I am confused. I don't know which one to choose, I driving my car in the night most of the time, any help will be grateful.
If you can find WhiteVision, I'd get them. Between the first 2 I'd get the cheaper ones. Both will offer similar visibility and lifespan. Although the NB 200 are the most powerful they are very expensive and not worth the price. If they will be with 50% cheaper in the future I will recommend them over RacingVision.
@@m3rovingian yes I can find philips WV only 16euros and philips RV 18 euros, the osram night braker is about 32euros(very expensive) and with very short lifetime as you said, so I probably will choose between the two philips, thank you for your time.
@@m3rovingian 60€ for a set of halogen bulbs? Very very expensive, here in Greece 60€ cost only PIAA and xenon bulbs(philips and osram), so I am going for philips WV then. Thanks again.
Thank you very much for the side by side comparsion. I dont see very well in the dark, and my stock headbulbs really suck. I wasnt sure how big is the difference between those two, and its huge. I dont drive that much in the dark. So i dont mind the short longetivity. Better safe than sorry 👍
I meant the diference between Osram 200 and Osram laser. The Osram 200 Is little more expensive than the Osram laser, but the diference Is definetly worth it. Im ordering them today. Thanks
NBL200 is exclusive to H4,H7 only. I really want to try but my car is HB3 ,H11 should i buy whitevision4100.4300k? they no longer sell whitevision 3700k.
did you by any chance measure the amount of heat produced by both bulbs? I know that both the NB200 and Laser are 55W bulbs, but I’m a bit afraid that with so intense light the NB200 might damage the projector lens or other parts of the headlamp after longer usage (I have OEM DRL on my car, so would only use them at nights)
Do you think the 200 are worth +10€ over the laser? It doesn't look so much brighter when making the videos' brightnesses more similar, and I would guess the Laser have a longer lifespan.
Both last just as long, about 6 months. I would get Philips RacingVision GT200 instead. But if you have to choose only from the 2 of Osram, then I'd get the Night Breaker 200 despite the price difference.
hi man, excuse me i have a newbien question. if i buy NB200 h4 for my 2017 panda. the will work for both low beam and high beam? do they provide good vision in the sides too? thanks
Yes, they will be perfect as long as you truly have H4 on your car. These NB 200 are the most powerful halogens now, just keep in mind they have a very yellowish light. A cheaper alternative for them is Philips RacingVision GT200.
@@m3rovingian thank you, no problem as long as they are bright, are they powerful in the high beam too? i found them at only 26euro in amazon for two bulbs, are they cheapear now or i'm missing something here? thanks a lot
Salut. Vreo 6 luni cu indulgenta. Cand le zic altora ca Osram are durata de viata de rahat, vin si ma aburesc ca i-au tinut pe ei un an jumate sau 2 Night breaker Laser :)
You can use any halogen for fog light. But of course the ones with a warmer light like the Fog Breakers will be better. In my country I can't find them. They are made for the US and Asia markets. Here in Europe they are illegal for road use because the color is too yellow, below 3000k.
@@m3rovingian So Osram Night Breaker Laser Next Generation for H11 would work well for fog lights? Are there any upgraded rear foglight bulbs on the market?
Buna faci videouri foarte bune. As vrea sate intreb Philips WhiteVision 3700k e mai bun decit Osram 200% in toate privintele?
Genuine NBL150 H11 will be 3200k sunny yellow. not as bright white as in your clip. I just attached it to the car. it is brighter than the original shade
I know. It's how my camera records with auto settings. In the future I will manually select the kelvin from the menu, exactly the same as the ones advertised for each car bulb I'll test.
I am interested in something else. If all the same bulbs have the same power of 55W and a luminous flux of 1500lm, how is it possible that one has a stronger light and the other a weaker one, eg H7 NB +200, NBL and Original Osram. Therefore, they should all have equal light. The only difference can be only in the incandescent filament. But it is the same in all bulbs.
You are very correct. That's the point, they are not the same in the power consumption. The maximum performance halogens draw more wattage. The Philips and OSRAM +200% ones can go up to 64W each, after I done some tests with a lab power supply. You have the videos on my channel.
But if this is so, then the data is not correct. According to Osram, they all have the same consumption and the same intensity of light flux at the same voltage. So Osram is lying with the data. Logic says that if the exact same bulb gives a stronger light at the same voltage, then the resistance of the filament must be lower. This automatically increases the current and light intensity, but reduces the durability. This means that the resistance of the filament is a little lower and the temperature of the bulb glass is higher.
@@agramcroatia4185 Congratulations! You have realised the truth about marketing and reality. You are correct in all your statements. Not only Osram, but all halogen manufacturers lie about their products, more or less and, the higher the brightness the lower the lifespan. It's the way things are.
Yes, yes, right, I was only based on Osram, but they are all the same. Everyone is misrepresenting the data on this. Simply logic says that it is so. You don't even have to be in that profession, and I am. It is enough that the filament is shorter, for example 5%, and there you have a 50% stronger light, but also a 30% shorter duration. That's why NBL at 12V consumes more current than the regular Original line. That's why the power is higher and that's why it lasts less. And those bluish glasses give that kind of cooler white color that our eye perceives as more penetrating. But even that blue "filter" dims the light a little, a little, but dims it. I am also a photographer and I know that.
@@agramcroatia4185 I am honored to know that from you. Well this is what we're left with. If you want the most powerful halogen as I said, the cheapest out of OSRAM NB200 or Philips RV GT200 is the way to go. If you want white light and incredible visibility, you need to get LED.
@@carameloforever The HIKARI LEDs I tested are the most powerful lights I had on my car, but on rain the road appears black, because of the high kelvin white light they produce. The most powerful halogen of the moment is OSRAM Night Breaker 200, very good in all conditions but the light will be vetu warm and yellowish. Also they are very expensive at the moment. My favorite halogen remains Philips WhiteVision 3700k.
OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER +200% so much brighter wow, must be the best halogens on the market right now? lol even the car at 9:31 got blinded by how bright they are xD
@@m3rovingian Doesnt matter, aslong as they give me this much brightness im more than happy :) i dont like thise blue lights that gives very little brightness
No tendrás ningún problema. ¡Muchas gracias por su apoyo!
Unrealistic rating, judging by ongoing videos. The increase in video brightness on whole video in the NB200's side is noticeable. Just compare the areas where there is street lighting. All of it are too more luminous in the NB200 video. May you change too the lightning poles bulbs? Even the sky is clearer in the clouds... If it's to compare, let it be realistic. However, of course I believe they are better... But not so much...
In my videos all the bulbs I tested look a bit better and colder than in reality and I say this all the time. It's impossible to record them just as in reality with any camera. If I would interfere in the settings I could be accused of lying and all the other crap some said on my channel. But it's all good. In this video you have something that is decisive and that is the light meter test. That I do as best as I possibly can. Also it would be nice if you'd take into consideration my feed-back. Just ask me any questions regarding any halogens or led I tested and I'll answer gladly.
@@m3rovingian i love your great videos & channel. Just asking because @Luìs Filipe raised a good point. I wonder if you standardised the shutter speed, aperture, white balance & the iso? I thought by standardising these will make the comparison fairer than not. Also the light meter test for NB Laser is missing. Thanks and please keep up your great work!
@@asmuni From what I've seen with Auto settings the differences are as good as it gets in the static daytime and nighttime recordings, viewed from the front of the car. On the road tests, especially in my newest ones on rain and snow I adjusted the video settings in such a way that really what you see is what you'll get. I'll keep using the same manual adjusted setting in all the videos from now on. I used the lightmeter in the most recent releases of Philips, Osram and HIKARI LED, mainly to see the differences between the ones that really count. Osram NB Laser are below NB 200 for sure. Maybe on the next re-branding I'll measure the Lasers also :)
The driving video is bad. The exposure settings are cleary differ. In fact, according Osram's own spec sheet, the Nigh Breaker Laser produces 100 lumens more light.
It's very hard to mimic the exact look of a bulb with any camera or settings from one to another. But Night Breaker 200 are the most powerful halogens offered by Osram. They must've done some mistyping there with the lumens.
Laser about 6 months - 1 year. NB200 about 6 months. But it depends on the roads you drive on and on the quality of your car's electric system. The vibrations and electric fluctuations is what decreases their lifespan. A dear friend of mine has on his wife's car Philips RacingVision +150% for 4 years now and they are still working all good. In my case I had one RV+150% burned after 6 months, but I drove on tarmac a lot back then.

Philips RacingVision GT200 or WhiteVision 3700k if you want a bit colder light but still very powerful in all weather conditions.
did you by any chance measure the amount of heat produced by both bulbs? I know that both the NB200 and Laser are 55W bulbs, but I’m a bit afraid that with so intense light the NB200 might damage the projector lens or other parts of the headlamp after longer usage (I have OEM DRL on my car, so would only use them at nights)
They will not damage anything. The power draw by all of them is the normal one 55/60W
@@m3rovingian thanks! do you know how long the RacingVision last?
@@KaddamanMan about 6 months to 1 year if you're lucky. On bad roads 6 months tops.
@@m3rovingian why you suggest so much Racing Vision GT 200 instead of Night Breaker 200? Which one are best/stronger?

hi man, excuse me i have a newbien question. if i buy NB200 h4 for my 2017 panda. the will work for both low beam and high beam? do they provide good vision in the sides too?
@@stingger2726 On H4 they are considerably cheaper than on H7 that I had to buy.
Salut, mersi de comparație.

If nbr 200 more cheaper than gt200, what are preferred to buy?
NB200, but I find that hard to believe. Look better and you'll find Philips for a better price.
can I also use OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER as fog lights or must I put Osram Fog Breaker for the fog light?
You can use any halogen for fog light. But of course the ones with a warmer light like the Fog Breakers will be better. In my country I can't find them. They are made for the US and Asia markets. Here in Europe they are illegal for road use because the color is too yellow, below 3000k.
@@m3rovingian So Osram Night Breaker Laser Next Generation for H11 would work well for fog lights? Are there any upgraded rear foglight bulbs on the market?
@@DashCamSerbia I would get Osram Night Breaker 200 for H11. They are better.
@@m3rovingian Yeah, but I can only find Lasers in H11. Are they worth the 22 Euros compared to the regular OSRAM/Philips H11 bulbs, for fog lights?
@@DashCamSerbia Yes, just don't expect too much lifespan out of them.
Amazing comparisons thank you!!

@@carameloforever The HIKARI LEDs I tested are the most powerful lights I had on my car, but on rain the road appears black, because of the high kelvin white light they produce.
Luis Osram o Luis Philips? :)
+200%👍
;)
The driving video is bad.
The exposure settings are cleary differ.
In fact, according Osram's own spec sheet, the Nigh Breaker Laser produces 100 lumens more light.
It's very hard to mimic the exact look of a bulb with any camera or settings from one to another. But Night Breaker 200 are the most powerful halogens offered by Osram. They must've done some mistyping there with the lumens.
Nice video.
And good song :)
Thank you ;)
It's indeed really relaxing

Life of both?
Laser about 6 months - 1 year.
NB200 about 6 months. But it depends on the roads you drive on and on the quality of your car's electric system. The vibrations and electric fluctuations is what decreases their lifespan. A dear friend of mine has on his wife's car Philips RacingVision +150% for 4 years now and they are still working all good.
In my case I had one RV+150% burned after 6 months, but I drove on tarmac a lot back then.
