There's another trophy you need for Awakening for the Ascension weapons, it's before the other two, and it requires you to do 30 Skybound Arts with that character.
Thanks! Weapon leveling is one of the most doubt provoking things in the game, since there's many to choose from, and you tend to think: "Maybe I'm leveling up the wrong one" 😅
For the terminus wepon final awakening do i also need to get the node on all of the weapon to get the trophy. because on zeta's terminus weapon it said i need to unlock all of her mastery nodes but i already 100% the offence and defence so my guess is i also need to 150 all the weapon to get the terminus weapons final awakening lvl?
You are wrong abot leveling up ascension weapon. It costs tons of resources and you can beat the final Bahamut on the boat quite easily without it. If you would like to grind, just go for the terminus weapon.
I am by far not progressed enough to watch videos like these but I am kind of "afraid" to spend mastery points or shards to upgrade the starter loadout. The game encourages you to do so but is there a way to reset all this progress in mastery and or weapon level? I still don't own all the characters I want and therefore spending ressources was hard because I thougt I have to save it til that point. Also is it wrong to level-up / increase mastery for every party member at the beginning even if you don't like the character? Where is the border between necessary and wasted ressources if I don't want to halt mastery and weapon-level management? Are my worries justified?
For me personally, there's no "wasted resources" if it's put into mastery, except if you're later burning your mastery for extra stats from over mastery option. It's randomly pulled and you can always try to reroll it again and again. When you reach higher difficulty quests, they will give you more rewards as well so I'd say not to worry too much, although focusing on 4 initial characters might be a good idea if you're playing solo/without online. TL;DR: Both mastery and the shards are not finite resources so do not worry and spend them however you like. You can always grind for more later.
Yes it is I started the game yesterday and I faced the same worry too. I simply didn't use the mastery points until you unlock your fav character , for me it was Percival , so once I got him I invested my every mp in him and he's melting through story bosses in hard difficulty. Save the np, if the game asks you to mandatorily spend mp , just spend as low as possible for namesake.
@@yveltal6474 Thanks for all the advice! I had exams the last two weeks so I probably played 5 hours or so. As I mentioned it's nothing to speak of but even at this point I'm worried to waste ressources because I also still don't know which characters I want in to invest in ^^'
The games overall design to gain msp and even exp is more or less exponential. You can beat the base story with low msp, and as you unlock content in the post story, you'll discover that msp will drop in abundance. If you want to farm, there will be opportunities in the post-story, and especially in one of the later ranks. Just put around 30% of mastery into 3 characters to get you through the story, and dump the rest on your main.
I just don't see how the non-bahamut Ascension weapons are even worth investing in. A few non-sigil Damage Cap levels don't really seem worth the investment compared to something like the Executioner weapons that (with way less investment) have triple the damage of base ascension weapons as well as make it so you don't need any damage increasing sigils if you have War Elemental. Sigil booster is nice but I feel like by the time you've grinded out the max level of the first ascension weapon you could have had the bahamut one.
When do you get to build the other weapons like the stinger series? I'm at the final chapter of the story and i still only have the option to build one type of weapon for each character. Every time i look it up it says i get access at chapter 7 to the stinger series but im well past that, i have no idea what i need to do and no one seems to explain it. Do i just need to finish the story?
To be honest im not a big fan of the terminus weapon drop mechanic. The fact that it has an abyssmal 10% drop rate, when it drops its is also random. I mean who would waste their time grinding for a single weapon
Me. I'm Wasting my time these past 3 days grinding that quest and it hurts lmao. Send help. Fully agree that the way it is, is hella confusing. Game wants you to pick a main, but then has a roulette on all character drops. Who did this.
I've been playing the game for 75 hours and just found yesterday ascensions weapons can be ascended more than once 😂. No wonder I wasn't dealing optimal damage even having all damage cap sigils.
I played solo aside from getting some gold dalia badges. Joined some randoms for Bahamut Versa because i heard it's way easier with people. Critical bar was gone in 90 seconds. So tried it on my own and beat him first try with no troubles at all. I don't consider myself great at these types of games or games in general. But after playing Wild Hearts and killing the Deeply Volatile monsters in 2-4 mins everytime by myself, then when i open up my game it takes at least twice as long... I'm starting to think no one knows how to make builds in these kinds of games. They don't put in the time or the effort. They don't research. That's absolutely the case in Monster Hunter. There are way more terrible builds than decent. I haven't fought the 150 Bahamut yet. Taking my time like i have been. This game is not hard solo. If you build a full team.. Sorry for the long-winded comment but build your characters. Not just one and solo play isn't that hard. Gone through the game mostly with Narmaya, Katalina, Zeta and Cagliostro. Lots of CC. Cag and Kat both heal.. it's not that hard lol
Yes and no... No, because i "finished" the game (beat the lvl150 bahamut) with only 1 lvl150 ascended weapon before i started min-maxing. Yes if you want to min-max, because even if you're not using those weapons, their masteries still count for your character and it makes killing Bahamut easier, since some weapons give A LOT of health, critical chance/dmg, stun power and so on.

Very helpful breakdown of the weapon system, thanks. I'll focus on the Ascension Weapons for Siegfried and Vane instead.
