Hello BOTH!! What a great video, varied and full of information on equipment, and "how to do this" during the different tasks - I did laugh when the bed frame was "tested" - one on top of the other so to speak - ha-ha!! Just wonderful team work, along with the jokes - so enjoy it all! Best wishes from Lincolnshire.

Love the info given, the beautiful photography, and most of all the chemistry between you both. It's criminal you don't have more subscribers, keep up the great work.
Absolutely love your conversions; they are always so interesting and different. I would love to see you try a bus conversion... maybe one of the stagecoach solo buses (think your minds would be blown with the amount of space... full size bath for jess, maybe?) but I suppose it wouldn't be an adventure journey with a bus. Will definitely miss your escapades next week but hope you have a great time at Van Love Fest and keep up the amazing work and content! Loves ya! X
Hahaha, another brilliant video , you two work so well together when you build it's amazing to watch 😊, you guys always make me laugh at your antics 😂, my Saturdays are complete 👍
Well that 20 minutes flew by 😢. The work that you both knock out is brilliant and a good way of learning for us as subscribers 👍 The build is coming along nicely and that wooden rub rail seems too good to paint and hide that grain, could you go along it with a flame to make the grain pop more and darken it down then seal it with a clear varnish? Enjoy your break and I'm looking forward to the next one already 😁🍻🍻🍻🍻🫶
Great work Jess and amazing skills with the welding, you handle wood like a pro, Jon at least the hair is starting to look better, enjoy the break you both deserve it.
13:30 keep in mind that insects like to nest in stuff like that. So if its not in use, regualry check up on it to make sure than nothing builds its nest in there. The probability is lower as its inside of something, but sleepng on a wasp nest is not something fun if you didnt notice it. 19:40 why not use a black stain that way you can still see the grain but dont have the problem with it being to many colors. If one coat isnt enough just do a second or third.
As a carpenter, (among other things)I would not paint the ash "bumpers" ... one tiny pinhole or damage will let water in and not out. That will eventually lead to rotting without you noticing. John, watch out - I commented a few weeks ago that all Jess needed to do was learn to fab, and she wouldn't need you... Guess what she immediately started learning! 😉😂😂😂 Another cracking little vid for the sofa, but that's no shock, it's the norm!
It’s starting to look similar to our fire truck camper! One the problems we have with the pop top is the canvas. It is 3.3m long and is massive when open. When we pull it down, we have a lot of material to tuck away and we find it can sometimes get stuck outside. We have a strong elastic cord to pull it in, but that looses strength over time. It is also very heavy to live and very hard to pull down (we have used gas struts). I think a 12v actuator would help with initial lift and final close, giving use the time to fold the canvas. I’m sure you have considered this, but one of many pet hates I have with pop tops! (We are switching our roof to a high top as we live in it and spend winters in the alps). Enjoying the build and love the ideas with the shutters. Here’s to the RAL3000 crew 😂🚒
Thanks very much, so hopefully a few ways I’ve tried to stop the canvass issue is by having quite a big gap between the canvass and the outside seal, I loose a lot of space but hopefully win in other ways, I was thinking of maybe installing some helper struts like on the alucab, for the first bit of help but also to give us that bit of time at the bottom to tuck everything away, will be interesting to see how it goes and thanks for the advice, much appreciated 👍
Have a lovely weekend away, build is really coming along nicely. I'm with you John, I new my wife was a keeper when I saw her mixing up concrete in a mixer. 😂🤣👍
so much time for you guys your an absolute bundle of laughs your chemistry together and work ethic is insane, can both turn your hand to anything and are absolute perfectionists keep killing it and Jon I've had that little chop saw for about 5 years for a cheap little thing it's deffo a lovely bit of kit for the workshop 😂
Wow once again the attention to detail is amazing. You also make it fun and interesting. Have a cracking weekend. See you in two weeks. Absolutely loving this build.
Oh dear God that bed test reminded me of The Inbewtweeners 🤦🏼♀️ 😂😂😂 Can we have a short reel of clips of Jon being a bender and call it Bend it like Jono 😉😉

Oh noooooooo! What am I Gona do with out a video to watch. Iv said it before and hopefully I'll say it again. I absolutely love your channel. This build just goes from strength to strength. Your attention to detail is off the chart. Every time I watch your videos it just makes me want to build a camper. I'm in the process of buying a discovery 3 to make in to a green lane truck. Partly because of your channel and partly because I had a discovery 1 about 12 years ago and Iv never been happier than I was back then fixing and modifying it. Iv already signed up to GLASS because of one of your videos. Iv also got a wish list for My build along with a fiamma roll out awing that I took off my caravan before I sold it. Its like brand new as we never used it apart from cleaning it. Just need some brackets to mount it to the roof rack. Once again. Absolutely awesome channel. You two always brighten up my day. Legends 💪
Thanks very much mate that’s much appreciated, the amount of green lanes around the uk is crazy hey, so many that didn’t even know existed, I love them roll out awnings, my favourite are the wind out cassette ones but they are very heavy so the roll out ones are ideal 👌👍
Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it. I look forward to your videos every week. Enjoy your long weekend, and give us like... an hour episode next time. ;)
For just a minute.... I thought you were gonna use my idea for the wheel cover and I'm not gonna lie, I WAS PUMPED! But.... Can't compete against that brilliant bit o'kit for the camper van.
On the ash wood - you'd love visiting the Morgan factory and doing the tour. Still making ash frames for the bodywork, using tools and jigs nearly a century old.
Always look forward to a Saturday morning to watch the adventures of True Blue, and then you are telling us there is no video next week 😩. Keep up the great work guys
Whey hey, decent video. Ha ha, I delayed my watching, quite worthy too, what with Jess and her brilliant weld 👏 👏 👏. Just a tip for tree sliders. If you're going for dark colour, maybe a water based stain. First. Left to dry properly. Then the paint. Should look much better that way. Think how white gloss goes on. You'll always feel the opaque look. Or you could do a thin based varnish, to pop the grain on wood. Maybe wire brush and paint again, to make grain pop. Lots of techniques to use and still get a waterproof finish. Wow John. You must have been dying doing the pipe work talk, I was getting apprehensive of a gag.😂😂😂😂 Have a faboo weekend. But, we want an hour long video upon return !!!
😂😂 I impressed myself that I held back to be honest, yeah quite a few of you guys have mentioned now about the wood stain and we are definitely thinking about it 👍
I am so unbelievably impressed with you guys! Honestly look forward to your videos - super helpful and informative. I'm mad jealous of your tools and workshop mate! What a set up!

Im happy I found you weirdos! makes for a good watch over coffee on saturday morning!
Weirdos 😂😂😂 brilliant, not wrong either
Give the wood a good coat of used engine oil. Gives great weather protection, , leaves a black finish, but you can see through grain
Great idea this
@@truebluetravellers been doing it for years …. Great on fenceing, and window frames. ReSlly low maintenance
Have a lovely weekend away, build is really coming along nicely. I'm with you John, I new my wife was a keeper when I saw her mixing up concrete in a mixer. 😂🤣👍
😂😂😂😂😂 definitely
so much time for you guys your an absolute bundle of laughs your chemistry together and work ethic is insane, can both turn your hand to anything and are absolute perfectionists keep killing it and Jon I've had that little chop saw for about 5 years for a cheap little thing it's deffo a lovely bit of kit for the workshop 😂
😂😂😂 cheers mate, quality little thing hey 👌👌
Pure fun. Have a great time next weekend 🙏

Oh dear God that bed test reminded me of The Inbewtweeners 🤦🏼♀️ 😂😂😂 Can we have a short reel of clips of Jon being a bender and call it Bend it like Jono 😉😉

😂😂😂 get 2 😂👍
Oh noooooooo!
Enjoy your long weekend, and give us like... an hour episode next time. ;)
😂😂😂 thanks for watching, means the world to us 👍
Thank you for your videos! Your positive outgoing allways cheer me up, and im happy to see new upload!
What a lovely thing to say cheers mate 👍
You guys are such fun to watch. Plus I learn loads too!
Thanks very much 😊
For just a minute.... I thought you were gonna use my idea for the wheel cover and I'm not gonna lie, I WAS PUMPED! But.... Can't compete against that brilliant bit o'kit for the camper van.
It’s still our favourite idea, thought about not having the bag we loved it that much but we use it too often to be without it 💙
Oh and loved this weeks episode, you two get funnier week on week 😂 👍
😂😂 thanks mate 👍
On the ash wood - you'd love visiting the Morgan factory and doing the tour. Still making ash frames for the bodywork, using tools and jigs nearly a century old.
That would be so cool that, I love that sort of thing 👌
"sorry about the mic" yea we all know that was your ⚽💰 John 😂. Another great video and the trucks coming on great
😂😂😂PMSL thanks very much mate 👍
Always look forward to a Saturday morning to watch the adventures of True Blue, and then you are telling us there is no video next week 😩. Keep up the great work guys
😂😂 thanks mate 👍
Gonna miss you two next week, enjoy the festival.
Thanks so much mate it was brilliant 👍
Dang that Ali welding was good, I seem to specialize in the pigeon poop technique 🤣
😂😂😂😂 I’ve mastered that myself too over the years
You should scorch/carbonise the wood Japanese style. It'd look great
Would look cool that 👌👍
Loving this build. Looking foward to seeing what you do with the interior. Top bombing.
Thanks very much, can’t wait to get going with that too 😊
@14:40 when this trucks a rocking ... don't come a knocking 😂🤣😂🤣
cheers, Garry from DownUnder
😂😂😂😂 it will only rock for approximately 10 seconds
Whey hey, decent video. Ha ha, I delayed my watching, quite worthy too, what with Jess and her brilliant weld 👏 👏 👏.
Just a tip for tree sliders. If you're going for dark colour, maybe a water based stain. First. Left to dry properly. Then the paint. Should look much better that way.
Think how white gloss goes on. You'll always feel the opaque look. Or you could do a thin based varnish, to pop the grain on wood. Maybe wire brush and paint again, to make grain pop. Lots of techniques to use and still get a waterproof finish.
Wow John. You must have been dying doing the pipe work talk, I was getting apprehensive of a gag.😂😂😂😂
Have a faboo weekend. But, we want an hour long video upon return !!!
😂😂 I impressed myself that I held back to be honest, yeah quite a few of you guys have mentioned now about the wood stain and we are definitely thinking about it 👍
Brillant, guys you are so talented and I love the banter in the videos.
Thanks very much 😊👍
I am so unbelievably impressed with you guys! Honestly look forward to your videos - super helpful and informative. I'm mad jealous of your tools and workshop mate! What a set up!
Thanks very much mate, it’s much appreciated 👍👍
Can't remember if you've already done this, but can you introduce us to the cute brown doggy? (I mean the canine, not Jon😂). Love your videos x
😂😂😂 I’ll happily get big bad Brian in on the next vlog 😊💙
Cant beat a bit of Brekky on a Saturday watching you two create a masterpiece 👌
Thanks mate, hope it was a bacon
@@truebluetravellers full English mate, luvly jubly 👍
Another cracking episode. I also follow Karsten & Maxine. undecided on the wood, like you say it seems a shame to paint it, but needs to blend in so black it is. Have a great weekend at Vanlove, hope John wins the fancy dress 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 oh Mindy u should of seen him 🤦♀️, he wants to show u next vlog 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😂

Mint video. I was supposed to be at vanlove this weekend but it fell through. Hope you have a good weekend guys. Much love. ❤
Your welcome and damn I was hoping it would end up there when I suggested the center for the spare. Perhaps the front grill area ?
I know it would of looked so cool hey 👍we are thinking maybe to front of the roof rack 🤔🤷♂️
