Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.
I almost want to pick this up just for the accessories. I wish Hasbro would do some accessory packs, that would be dope.

The Lockheed repaint is a demon representing Magik’s power in limbo. The blue sword is her Soul sword from the 90s from the New Mutants series and the translucent one is the modern representation of the said weapon from the Marvel Now. I prefer the SDCC Version. Hasbro should have included a yellow translucent disc for Magik to step on as a base because this is her mutant ability to teleport via a disc making limbo her portal going to another space and time. Emma Grace Frost The translucent disc is a great idea! I wish Hasbro would include bases for these anyhow, even something simple since some characters have a rough time standing on their own.

@ Emma Grace Frost The Blink figure that came out in the 90s had a portal, just not yellow. I might dig mine out of storage and see how it looks with Magik - even if it is the wrong color.

I agree. So sad to know that Hasbro always capitalises on repaints and re use just to make money out of us collectors which makes their figure not as accurate as in the comics. Thanks 👍

i don’t know why they make the male figures with more articulation than the female figures, since in my experience girls are more flexible than the guys if you have a different experience ( like the guys where more flexible than girls ) let me know

And the 2019 select Psylocke had double joints and almost as much articulation as a standard marvel legend male articulation

She just got released and people are already selling her for above $30. DAMN IT, GUYS!
You said it yourself: she JUST got released. There’s hype around her and people want it, so it’s being scalped. None of the Walgreens figures are rare, so if you give it time the price will normalize.
Yeah, give it awhile and it may be as low as $15 like the other Walgreen exclusives.

I got lucky and grabbed her in the wild a week or so ago along with Thing. I was so happy.
The smaller sword is the soulsword from the New Mutant days, the bigger sword is how it manifests now since The Phoenix Five incident. So a Phoenix Soulsword.

The thing with this figure is that you really need to choose a piece with well-painted eyes. I went to my shop, there were like 7 of these and almost all had uneven weird eyes. But the one with properly painted eyes is simply, absolutely gorgeous.
I didn't even know who this character was but I bought it without a second thought. The detailing and accessories are just great fun.
I found a Magik last week in Chicago and managed to grab the only one they had.
I'm thinking now of putting that skull on the Human Torch figure...just for a matching color.
I got her a few days ago at Walgreen's for $13.99 and man I love her. She works well with my marvel legends Kitty Pride figure and I'm a fan of swords and she has some wicked blades, also I wouldn't have never bought or sought her out if not for this review.
Definitely dope with the flames. The best option is swapping out the left arms. I wonder if boil and pop works. The accessories make this a premium figure.
Randomly found this last weekend and had to get her. Really like her.
3:20 Red Skull Rider was born.
Since finding that old Magik figure was next to impossible on the secondary market due to it being part of that box SDCC exclusive, I'm super happy with this figure even if our eyes are a tiny bit wonky. Mine had her hair too high and I ended up pulling it off and super gluing it back down. Super happy with this new one because the old one was going for $80+
yeah like the SDCC one but im still getting this for the excessories. And i seen art work were she has bolth swords so i changed her pose and put the second smaller sword in her hand, just have to get the exsessories to make her pop!
Was curious if the ghost rider head would fit on Human Torch, and then remembered I have the regular ghost rider, and Human Torch... lol

I tried it on Human Torch - it’s a tight fit but it looks great. It also looks cool on the Defenders comic boxed set Daredevil - the reds match really well.

Great review! Now if you could steal those boots from the new one, that will be great. About the head, I hope the old hot / cold treatment fix that.
I found mine on clearance at walgreens for 5 bucks, the box was all damaged but the figure and everything else came completely fine, talk about a steal!

Awsome Action Figure review
I don't have the SDCC Magik, so this is one I'm really looking forward to having
I wish she came with parts to turn her into her demon form (head with demon horns and swappable legs). Still, I hope one day they do her New Mutants costume. Mine came up with some issue with her face also, there is a error on her chin that makes it look like she has a scar on her chin. I wish QC was much better for Magik.

You can heat the arms and do a pop and swap pretty easily.
I used the blue sword on blade and it looks GREAT! The blue effect looks like a vampire explaining in the movies ....just blue not red
I really don't know too much about the character, so naturally I passed on the SDCC release, but something about this one is so appealing that I might get one

Let's put it this way... I don't know about the character 'cause I don't care to know about her, I really don't read comic books that often, and really I don't need to when it comes to buy a figure that I find appealing, of course 99% of my figures is about stuff I know, just every now and then I find something I don't know about but just looks cool and want it, so, that's my case with this one, why this one and not the SDCC one? Probabbly the ton of accesories that for me increases the fun factor.

Juan Villegas I think the peg on Kitty’s body is too big. If you really wanted to make it work, you would probably have to drill the hole on Magic’s head to make it bigger.

The size of the ball pegs for the heads has been something that is annoying me. I don't understand why Hasbro has to have such variance with it. It is like they want to discourage swapping heads between figures. But why? Wouldn't people by more figures if they knew they could swap around the parts easily? It is really dumb how they have been having this happen. Even with two figures like this which should have the same damn size ball peg!

I'm pretty sure the reason the new head has a bigger mount than the SDCC one is because the red flame skull is a swap out, to represent Magik when she loses control of her powers, gets possessed, and becomes Darkchilde to fight Dormammu in the Marvel NOW Uncanny X-men vol 5. Granted, it's missing the horns, but it's close enough, I guess. Here's an image from that volume.
