Hey, great video. Just a small tip for passing through germany. Do never refuel at some of the autobahn fuel stations. They are at least 0,60€/L more expensive than the average fuel station. hence why we(most people living in germany) rarely use them. They bet on the convenience to not having to leave the autobahn even though germany has a comparatively high density of fuel-stations. I would recommend taking a 5 minute detour to save at least 40-50€ on each refuel xD Anyways, I enjoyed the video, keep it up;)
thanks for the comment :) I am aware of it but on long trip like this sometimes I don't know how long will the drive on country roads take so take this main ones on the highway. But on the way back I visually saw petrol station (it was dark and had big bright sign) and went outside and it was just less than a minute from the highway and I put 102 octane for like 40 cents per liter cheaper than this 100 in the video :) Cheers:)
Recommendations: 1)don't fill fuell at Autobahn stations, rather leave at any junction and pay 50 Cent less per litre. 2) SLO, HU, SUI offer e-vignettes - no windshield mess and no stress in case of a windshield crack.
hello, thanks for the recommendations :) I am aware of the petrol station situation but on the way to destination I usually just refuel on highway because I don't know where and how long will the drive off the highway be, but on the way back I refuelled at the one outside and 102 octane was like 40 cents per liter cheaper than 100 octane from the video. Talking about vignettes - I actually love the stickers on the car kind of shows me that the car is being used for travelling haha :)
Hi crospotter, great video, there are many so called Autohofs in Deutschland and Austria ( you can see them both in the POI in your navigation system and also it's shown on the road signs on the autobahn ) where you drive off the motorway only 2 to 3 km maximum, many times even closer so the extra time is hardly immeasurable, but you will see a very good saving in your wallet, about 50 cents per liter especially if you drive a lot through germany and austria.
I disagree. Their 4 cylinder engines not refined. Diesels are rough sounding especially when cold. Sound insulation and ride quality isn't great either. Some models even have renault engines in them.
Just a tip: At least in Germany it is always worth it not to fuel up at the side of the Autobahn. There its usually around 20-30 Cents more expensive per litre
Thank you for sharing the wonderful road trip! we enjoyed it alot! for the next trips, it will be great if you can add an extended videos containing more views from the destination city. about the wheels - if it wont cost alot of money then yea sure.
