Fiat Cinquecento Sporting- Clutch cable

In this video I change the clutch cable that is pretty close to snapping and are making the car very unpleasant to drive.
I have also fixed a hesitation issue that I was having with this car.
Even though the Novitec turbo conversion seems to be off the table, it is still a wonderful little and very fun car to drive.

I have a right hand drive seicento same cable system and size only difference being is there is a deviator rod between the pedal and cable. Same problem just like the Cinquecento and not one mechanic here in Italy can sort this out 🤔

This video came up again 🤗 as im struggling to change the clutch on the driveway, every bolt is seized, found rusty brake pipes and a hole in the rear beside the tank hose. Also the springs and shocks look very rusty😭

I recently changed mine but it’s a right hand drive car so it’s not fun, had to remove the bottom half of the dash😢

hi, I have a problem with my seicento... My clutch seems isn't working properly in the meaning that with the clutch pushed all the way down the gear are a little bit hard (like the clutch isn' completely detaching the gear) how can I pull a little bit more the cable? Is that necessary to tight or release a little bit the nut to get it working properly?

You need to thighten it.... but it could be worn clutch.

Hello :) the clutch went back to being light and smooth? Mine is with the same symptoms and the throw out bearing seams fine, as I don't hear any noise from that

I have a fiat panda from the 2006 and it has the same system of the clutch. And the clutch pedal is harder than other that i have used. Can it be adjusted or is better changing the cable like you have done?

It could maybe be greased to make it lighter, but the best is to change the cable... it will snap at some point..
But it could also be the clutch.

My cars are right hand drive so cable will be under the battery tray 🙃
