Ah the Intro! The opening, the first level, stage 1, the tutorial area! Whatever you call it, its purpose is always the same... to convince you this game is worth playing!
Yes whether it's an opening cinematic, a tutorial stage or an entire opening sequence, a games first moment is the most important advertising tool it has.
There are of course some really bad video game openings and intros out there so today I wanted to instead focus on what makes a GOOD video game opening and these are some of the best...

To me, the most perfect intro was Uncharted 2's intro. I get chills every time I start the game. That's why many consider Uncharted 2 the best in the series.
