Here's a complete beginners tutorial on how to use the Animation tools in Live2D cubism!
I don't cover the full scope of the animation tools, just what you need to get started making your animations - as you learn and grow it can get much more complicated such as combining animations and toggles!
I also quickly cover how to setup animations in VTubeStudio if you're looking to create animations for your VTuber model!

Psst. if you want to lengthen the animation time like Cutie Dragon does starting at 10:44 - you can do it all at once rather than one graph at a time by:
- Staying in keyframe view and click + drag to highlight all the frames you want to re-time.
- Go to the very bottom middle of your screen where you will see the arrow next to a '%' sign (visible below Cutie Dragon's subtitles) and click.
- Here you can adjust animation speed by percentage, 100% being normal, 200% doubling the time it takes to animate and 50% doubles the speed at which the animation plays.

When I drag the model into the timeline and put in a keyframe for a parameter, the model becomes blue and has an animation where it becomes white and then red and disappears, after placing just one keypoint. How do I fix that?

In the 'baking physics' section at 8:33 if you put in your physics inputs on the menu does it generate the keyframes? You might need to double check what your input parameter is set to also! You'll need to keyframe the input parameter first before baking!
@@CutieDragon hello yes I generate perfectly I also double check the the input and output and also applied a keyframe in the animation before I start baking but it still isn't working I also add a little more movement on my Idle animation if maybe the animation itself is the cause but in the end it still isn't working🥺🥲
hmm that's weird, so there's no keyframes at all on the generation? sometimes if the physics are set too low on the outputs it won't generate much movement, it might be worth checking that!@@kristinehare1336
When I export my animation sometimes the animation looks pixelate like a 144p video. Do you have this problem? : ( Idk if its like that because the colors of the caharacters, gradients or maybe I am doing something bad 😢
double check if 'export high quality' is selected! you might also want to try exporting it as a different file format to see if that helps!

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!! I thought I followed all the steps but Live2D just refuses to bake my physics! :c even if keyframes appear on the timeline nothing moves. And sometimes there wont even be keyframes over the timeline, only at the beginning and the end. Why does this happen? I've tried baking physics many times in the past but this always happen and I've given up trying to make it work at this point.
Heya, so I exported my animation the same way as in the video, but wanted to show it to a friend later. When I drag and dropped the animation file into the animation timeline to view, it shows up as being a completely blank timeline.
Do I have to completely redo my animation? It saved as a motion3.json file.
In the video I show off how to export the animation for use in runtime - so for VTubestudio! Much like a model file you also need to save the animation raw file (.can3)

When i drag down the picture, i only see the "placement & transparency" line.. can you help me please, why i dont see the others?

Kak punya ku kan awal nya udh di tambahin key frame untuk bagian rambut nya, dan gerakannya jdi kaku pas di animasikan, trus aku bake physics yg di rambut, namun keyframe yg ku buat malah hilang...gmana tuh kak

Anytime i post animation to twitter, it become pixelated. Do you know how to fix it? I already checked the high quality box
that's likely a twitter thing! twitter has it's own compression which often causes uploads to become pixelated

Why my file becaming 1 layer after dragging it into the timeline, the visibility parts wont show😭
What art software do you use? There's a specific issue in clip studio when 'exporting' rather than using 'save as' that merges the layers - may also be an issue in other programs!
Can this be used in the free trial?
Absolutely! It can even be done in the Free version but with some limitations

Never mind, works now, i forgot to save the new file as my vtuber model, i just saved the animation file.
If only it was on mobile..
