cop shop arrived in the mail today, thanks of the info, also, I have been keen to get Kino 4K movies but I was advised against them I was told all the 4K movies were region locked, , I don't know if it's for specific movies but if not then I have to check their backlog to decide on what to get but in the heat of the night and The magnificent 7 original movie are on that list
I have always exclusively tested every release for regions & I share that information in each video, so if you want to know if something is region locked or not you just need to watch my review videos & it will answer all your questions! Also glad you were able to buy CopShop it’s a cool niche 4K UltraHD release & one I was excited to find & share with all of you!

Another great review James. Just pre-ordered it from your link, based on the strength of your review. I've never seen this film, but I've been intrigued for a while (I'm a huge Tony Scott fan and loved the remake). This looks awesome! Can't wait to see it.
If you liked the remake you will like this film but understand it’s a thriller for the time period of 1974 so like I was explaining it’s a great movie but it’s not going to be a frenetically filmed with quick cuts like Tony Scott used to film, but the story builds better in my opinion in this film & has a more relaxing & enjoyable pace to the movie! 🤩Thanks for your awesome comments, I appreciate them!
@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia Oh I hear ya... I'm not expecting Tony's style in a film from that era. Sort of like the difference between Carpenter's original Assault On Precinct 13 and the remake with Ethan and Fishburne. I love both, but for different reasons. I watch older films from the 70s and 80s for a totally different vibe than I'm going for when I sit down to take in the contemporary, hyper-stylized flourishes and freneticism of Tony Scott's work. But being a child of the 70s and 80s, I take a certain nostalgic comfort in watching films from that era, precisely for some of the reasons you alluded to: There's something more relaxing and laid back about them, for lack of a better characterization. Just reminds me of simpler time, which I very much miss sometimes. 😉
@@TheOriginalFuzz It’s so great to hear from a likeminded individual as yourself, I Agree with you 1000% (lol!!!! 😁) especially about how you love the slower pace of the films from growing up 70-80s, they have such a great feeling that can’t be replicated these days & were very entertaining without having to throw trash into them constantly to seem edgy lol!!! I also sometimes feel like modern films are too hectic, loud & sometimes can be almost obnoxious lol!!! Films from the 80’s do provide such a level of comfort & I always get excited when a new restoration of a movie from those eras are announced! I also miss those time periods a lot & how things were just more fun & simpler!
@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia It's kind of a cliche to say this, but they really don't make movies like they used to anymore. At least, not for the most part (there are exceptions of course). I mean, I hate to sound like too much of an old fart, but I just can't help but notice lol. We still get good movies from time to time, and there have been some great advancements in technology. But I feel like a lot of the heart, soul, and authenticity has been stripped away from much of the contemporary movie landscape (or at least, greatly diminished). I love the warmth and sincerity of the older movies... the practical effects vs. a sterile green screen, etc. They just have something special in them that we don't seem to get a lot of these days.
All time great film. Tarantino was highly influenced by the movie. Will definitely pick this up and upgrade my Blu-ray

Did Kino Lorber also restore and include the original United Artists logo to open the film, or did they use the current one like they’ve done with other releases?
It looks like it might be the old UA logo to me but that’s not really a selling point or something that I specifically look for in a new 4K Scan & Restoration lol!!!🤣 JK
I am more interested in the overall quality of the 4K release not just a logo! Hope this helps!
