I said it before and I'll say it again: Upset looks insane when he knows that there are people who can pick it up should he ever die and when he knows that he can rely on the people around him. He is a naturally aggressive player, it just got beaten out of him on Vitality and KC. A player that doesn't instinctively WANT to play aggressive would never look like he does now or like he did in 21 and 22. The guy is absolutely cracked out.

If he played passively and just used his ult to disengage like some other players, then he would've died a lot less.

So for one, deaths don't affect your damage at all. A 0-0-0 Jayce does as much damage as a 0-4-0 Jayce, all that matters is gold and item distribution. Secondly, most of the time, Jayce SHOULD be doing more damage. He has long range poke, whereas Renekton has to commit to do damage. Thirdly, the game is much easier for Jayce to play. Jayce AND Renekton are both getting dived nonstop (Renek was 0-2 when Jayce was 0-3), but G2 is playing a soft dive comp where Xin and Renekton basically have to force their way in vs an Azir and Ezreal. Ain't no way Renekton is doing shit this game. Meanwhile, the irony of Jayce being "behind" is that he can basically do what he wants because of range advantage and that Azir and Ezreal are much high priority targets. Not saying BB's performance doesn't deserve criticism, but trying to use damage numbers and deaths without context is just stupid.

Yike definitely should be considered the best jungler right now. Apart from him definitely being the mvp of KC right now the only other contender is Razork. Yike plays with a korean, 2 rookies and someone who got considered as worst support of EU ever. Razork plays with Oscarinin (someone who got considered as top 3 toplaner since joining, I would disagree, but he gets considered like that), 2 of the best players in their role of all time in EU and the best support of EU ever. I am hyped and anxious for KC in the Bo series. They shouldn't have champion pool issues, definitely not - but can they hold their level of gameplay?
Shouldn't it be Skewmond (narrowly), even with his smiting issues? He has been having stellar early games this split, while Yike (and by extension KC) seems to be having issues there.

Playing good around the Draven lanes to bring him ahead. Their early games are not their best strength but definitely not bad as well. And it's not Skewmond missing smites, it is Yike winning nearly every smite duel. Also Yike is the voice of the team. His teamfighting is insane and the objective control and usage is really good too. And he didn't even play his typical carries like Viego, Lillia, Belveth etc yet where he definitely is the best in EU.

Some of it might also be a team call. But I am not privy to that information obviously. (It's not a particularly bad early game, but definitely not on G2's level.) IMO KC is actually accelerating in the early-mid game. Herald/Second grubs/Dragon. They win one fight there, and within 5 minutes they take over the whole map. (Again, we may see a more polished KC next week. It's early season. But if we are just talking about impressive jungle performances...)

i disagree with Kerie, I think ksante is overall far more broken than rumble, you either have to ban it or first rotation pick it, best blind for top, best tank, worth case goes even in lane. If both rumble and ksante is open you gotta go for ksante every day of the week, and thats what BB and Myrwin is doing so far.
kc, koi and gx are better than last years and so is fnc. and g2 is the only team that has gotten worse. g2 should be happy if they qualify for worlds and 1 other international tournament this yeat

Bigger evidence for G2 still being elite is their early games IMO, rather than the GX stomp. Their lane assignments are insanely good. That GX game might be a huge false signal, since everyone in GX except Jackies and Lot performed a Hylissang level int collectively. And Lot was gapped on top of that.
I think Fearless will expose FNC quite a bit, i don't see their solo lanes having too deep pools, e.g. the only times i'm comfortable with Humanoid is when he's on Azir and arguably Corky ( Yone, Akali, any low mobility control mage and you're looking at a coinflip imo... same for Oscar... think he shines most on K'sante & Poppy, none of his carries - Rumble, Renekton, Jayce, etc look scary at all.
