Even a meat plant, such as a rose can bring down the sharpest of minds. Thank you professor Jansen for bringing a way to gradually train our Left Brain to wake up. (Well, I'm really still wan orking on it)..lso, even though you have such an extensive scientific background in paint technology and color mixing. Please continue to share even more in depth information, your humble approach allows a daily hope to begin to spark in some unique way in each student. This takes time, patience and persistence. I know that your students crave even small successes, and this desire easily outweighs the urge to just watch a temporary , dumbed down, 10 minute false video.

I'm an artist that was scared of colors and using different types of tools other than my sharp pencils, even my acrylic sets were still sealed and you made me step out of my comfort zone, and it may not be the best rose I drew but it definitely looked like it was worth my time because not everything makes me happy about my art but I adored a simple rose I painted. Thank you for making me realize that my art skills could he used easily with different tools and artstyles. Thank you so much.

Hello :) This is my first time watching one of your videos, but it won't be the last. I found this video very neat to see the different techniques you used when painting. This helped me out a lot when I was painting flowers. Thank you for this video, also you remind me of Bob Ross with the calming voice and good paintings, done so realistic and very detail but yet so simple.

Great instructions! I think I'll make my roses very basic at first...gain some confidence and then move on to your other techniques 🙄. I checked out your daughters website...WOW she is so creative and does a lot of fabulous art! I would love to weld and do some sculpting like she has done...really impressive! I see she has the same affinity for the ancanthus leaf scrollwork that you do...I LOVE it! Well I'm off to watch more of you. 😊💎💎💎💎💎

Your Rose is stunning! I have never painted flowers, Im mostly Seascapes, but I just might try your Rose. I use oils though! Thank you for excellent instruction!
You can use oils with some of my techniques. Look to the alla prima playlist. Acrylic techniques I use will not work with oils because the base areas have to be dry.

Thank you so much 😀 Could be a lot of things, practice, paint and brushes. They all make a difference. Some acrylic formulas will have trouble with what I do so you may need to change the techniques a little.
