Cloris still holds the record as the performer to win the most Emmy's in the entire history of television, an honor she shares with Julia Louis-Dreyfus. They have each won eight.
I watched this show daily... so happy you started uploading the clips......your show is still a very safe memory for me.....happiness to you from Canada. R.i.P to a legend.
This is from 2000, noted by the Krispy Kreme decorations on the desk area. I remember when they had other, more abundant decor, including Play-Doh and Dunkin' Donuts. Anyway, R.I.P. Cloris Leachman! It sure wasn't COVID-19 that killed you!
So glad Rosie mentioned 'The Woman Who Willed A Miracle' (based on May Lemke & her son, Leslie) it was the first thing I thought of when I'd heard Cloris had passed.
Most people are more Betty fans but, for me, my go-to saucy old broad was Cloris Leachman. Betty was the sweet old lady with a little bit of a naughty side but Cloris was the eccentric Grandma and it appealed to me more.
Cloris Leachman was a "Method"-trained actress who appeared in some acclaimed and/or popular productions in film and on television. Unfortunately, Leachman did not know how to avoid overexposure, would appear on practically any reality television show that would have her (which were many, unfortunately) and say anything (so long as it conformed to left-wing Hollyweird political correctness) she assumed would have shock value. But an 80 or 90 years old woman lifting up her dress in public, allowing herself to be dragged around a stage and try to pass such off off as "dancing," or calling other women a "slut" in multiple interviews is nether humorous nor tasteful, only boring and vulgar. Thank goodness Cloris Leachman was fired from the television series "Lassie" in 1958 and the producer (Jack Wrather) hired another actress for the role of "Ruth Martin"--June Lockhart, an actress who knew more about restraint and good taste than Cloris Leachman ever did.
I'm so happy you are uploading your show on here!!!! it was a staple for me everyday! MO & RO forever!

Christmas 1996. Rosie’s hair was only like this the 1st season and Beavis and Butthead Do America was about to come out, which came out December 1996.
2 of my favourites
So glad Rosie mentioned 'The Woman Who Willed A Miracle' (based on May Lemke & her son, Leslie) it was the first thing I thought of when I'd heard Cloris had passed.

Oh shut up. Cloris had more talent than most actresses in Hollywood past or present. You must just be jealous.
You're writing an essay about your hate for a dead person in the comments of a memoriam on RUclips. Please seek help
She run over your dog or something?
Which won the Oscar? Leachman could do it all, Lockhart was lost in space.
She could be funny if she didn't spend all her time trying to be a politician
