Hey Justin. Love your videos. I have a suggestion for you, my friend. I think what you are missing at this point is a logo. At this point you are a brand. I suggest maybe a logo that combines fragrances with a trumpet. Idk 🤷🏽
Thank you Omar. I will consider it.
The entire halfeti line is just..**chef's kiss**
Agreed, the DNA is a modern masterpiece. Original is still my Favourite and will be the most pleasing to most people imo. Leather and Cedar are a bit more challenging. 🙌🏻
Beach Hut Man really surprised me. The mint in the opening is so realistic, like crushing a bunch of mint leaves in your hand and smelling it - I’ve never smelled another mint note like it. Super high quality stuff, very unique, and nowhere near as challenging as I was expecting it to be. The performance is insane off my skin as well, I actually find it a bit TOO strong... worth a try for sure.
MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver is still your #1 recommendation to me though - incredible stuff, glad you got me to try it out. 🙌🏻
Beauj de jour is incredible. I wear it with my scrubs, in shorts, dress it up. Wear it all the time.
I had luck and could grab a bottle of the Private Bland BDJ from TF
Great video with some great choices in there and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
I have every single main iteration of the Dior Homme Line and enjoy them all whether with Iris or not! I love Dior Homme 2020 😎👍
What in your opinion is your favorite iris Dior Homme that I can buy today. I don’t have any iris based fragrances but need to expand my horizons.
@pacmanfl I would try to find the black stem reform which is the oldest you can find before they relaunched it as "Dior Homme Original" which would be another solid choice. I don't have that one because it seems redundant.
Guerlain ideal intense & Desirtoxic you sold me on those two. Excellent fragrances! Russian tea is nice, it soothe yearning for gucci pour homme ii
I haw Beach Hut and it reminds somewhat like an amped up Aramis. Aramis goes all the way back to 1966 and is definitely not for everyone, but I love it!
Beach hut is one of my favourites in my collection. Gucci Guilty Absolute is another great one.
Have you tried Le Lion or Penhaligones Terrible Teddy? Worth a sample both are 10/10
Beach Hut man is totally unisex and beautiful. It is also totally season less.
Agreed!
Wearing Beau de Jour today. It's my go-to fragrance for a day of office meetings. Just amazing! (p.s. I recently visited London and picked up Gravitas Pour Homme and the new release from Dan - Chypre Fulminare! Gravitas reminds me a lot of L'Insoumis, which I love but is very weak on my skin... this is good!)
Some great choices for sure. I have bought Gucci Guilty Absolute on your recommendation and i wish I had gotten a bigger bottle. Anyway, I don't understand why so many people say it is difficult to wear, that it is challenging. I find it perfectly usable and of course simply stunning.
It's so good!
Dior 2020 is a Banger like a Modern Terre de Hermes to me ,Moreover great work and interesting list
Yes Russian tea is amazing, I love it so much I bought the 100 ml. Still need to try Beach Hut, DesirToxic and Halfeti Cider. I don't know why Argos, as a brand just doesn't resonate with me, I may change my mind when I try one of their creations. Gucci Guilty Absolute is good!!! Dior Homme 2020 is still a no, haven't tried it, but I just hate its existence 😂 I'll wait to see what Mr. Kurkdjian does with the next men's fragrance release... Thank you JC!!!
Amouage is killing the game. Royal Tobacco , Reflection 45 and Beach Hut Man will always be in my collection.
Justin, love the review of Russian Tea, have you sampled Indigo Smoke, Arquiste. I think you would like this tea scent. As always thank you for your time and honest opinions!
I love Tom Ford Beau de Jour. I'm almost to the point where I can stop my fragrance search now that I have found it... Almost.
The first time I wore it, I was out at the grocery store. I was standing in line at the bakery a few feet behind a man. I had been standing there for about 1 minute when the man turned around quickly like something had surprised him. We locked eyes for a second and we both knew what had caused him to violently turn around - TF BDJ.
the best thing that i am seeing in my life is the bottle of the fragrances 💜
I’ve heard Sartorial tops BdJ for some people. Still need to try it, been getting into fougères recently. Will try Beach Hut and Triumph of Bacchus, these sound right up my alley.
Sartorial is also very nice. I hope you can try the others
Hello Justin, how are you? Great job on the video and list. My bottle of Argos Triumph of Bacchus is the same color as yours but it is about a half of a bottle. Thank you again for the recommendation. Dior Homme 2020 is STILL a favorite of mine. I have to get another bottle soon 😩. Stay safe brother and hi to Grace
Yeah Justin... awesome perfumes bro! I will always remember the day thanks to you, I got myself a sample of Pasha EdT and it is one of my favorites ever since. Most of these I did got my nose on, but I keep my collection small. It sure does take a lot of self-control not to buy all the perfumes I love and fall down into the rabbit hole again.
I'm so glad you like it!
Thanks for your nice review Justin.
My pleasure!
Triump of Bacchus getting orange: it’s the saffron oxidising that is giving it that color. Sorry to burst the magic bubble… 😉
Hey Justin. Great video. I've tried 4 of your 10 recommendations.
Beau de Jour: love it, have a full bottle, and it's a "fragrance for life!"
Declaration Parfum: love it, have a large decant, full-bottle worthy. An amazing fragrance!
Halfeti Cedar: like it, have a large decant.
Dior Homme: like it, have small samples, still not bottle worthy for my taste, no where near as good as the original Homme. I can think of more than 5 designer releases from the past few years that I like more. Although it's pleasant, I do not think it deserves the name "Homme" for a house like Dior.
Beach Hut Man, all of your Argos recommendations, and maybe L'Humanist are top sample/decant priorities for 2023.
I wore Beau du Jour the day I voted and one of the women volunteering stopped mid-sentence to tell me that I smelled amazing. And that was with my pulse points under winter clothes and with her wearing a mask about three hours after I'd put it on.
Dior homme 2020 to my nose is a less in-your-face stuffy version of Bleu de Chanel and I prefer it for that reason
I purchased BHM and Cartier because of your suggestions. I pretty much like 98% of the things you speak of. There are about 5 other reviewers that I follow as well and you all seem to like most of the same things. This helps me make my choices. My collection has grown from 36 to over 400. Now I get bored easy and am just looking for something to surprise me (in a good way) or captivate me with creativity or a twist. But keep the reviews coming please. But I am now leaning more towards Niche or higher end designer so that I don’t feel I made a “duplicate” purchase.
Sounds like you’re undergoing a natural evolution of taste! I’m glad my recommendations have been helpful for you.
@@stayfreshproductions Gotta buy more stuff now. Just cannot do boring. And from what I’ve seen, you are not too different in that aspect. But for now you take the guessing out of guesswork for me… so thank you.
Halfeti Cedar reminds me of Serge Lutens Arabie, must be the dried fruits.
Hey Justin, Fantastic list my brother, I own 4 off this list “Desir Toxic, Beach Hut Man, Cartier Declaration & Russian Tea” with Russian Tea being my newest acquisition.. I Love the opening it’s amazing “with the raspberry & mint” I actually love cracking the top and just sniffing the atomizer 😂😂 but in the dry down it loses the raspberry “which I adore” and takes me into wet black tea bag territory. Like drinking all of your tea out the cup and then sniffing the leftover tea bag sitting in the bottom of the cup. If the raspberry would stick around longer would be a love. But for now it’s just a like 🤷🏽♂️ Also I would take Desir Toxic over Layton any day of the week but Layton Exclsif has the slight edge in my humble opinion. Nonetheless Desir Toxic, Beach Hut & Declaration are fantastic as well I couldn’t agree with u more!
Good stuff! Glad you enjoy those fragrances. I believe the raspberry note/accord (or at least the one they're using in Russian Tea) is a more volatile ingredient and therefore doesn't stick around very long.
@@stayfreshproductions No doubt!! I will revisit and spend more time with it. I will also get my nose on the other fragrances u mentioned they all sound very intriguing 👍🏽 Be blessed thank you for all the great content
hi justin. great recommendations. i know that you have a huge collection and to test a lot of news but it always astonishes me to see practically the same level of juice as 2 years ago e.g. in the case of triumph of bachus. by the way: have all 3 zed creators 2.0 and i like 2nd soul the most being the most creative and following the logic of a flanker. GREAT JOB!
Thank you Lukas, I’m glad you enjoy 2nd Soul. And yes, that comes as a result of trying to west through hundreds of fragrances while constantly acquiring more.
Great video. Nice options. Here would cost over 20k that list. The price of a car ^^
Thanks once again for the video.
Justin, great video! I will check some of these out for sure.
Thank you!
I still really want to try sartorial and halfeti cedar is expensive but I really want to try that to
Halfeti Cedar also kind of looks like a special monastic brewed beer bottle. I notice you like to put in old school or mature scents, I wonder if you think modern fragrances are a tad too sweet. Or perhaps synthetic. I did smell Dior 2020 once, really nice and smooth. Haven't run into Gucci Guilty Absolute, and for me the reason not to chase after it would be that it's discontinued... if I get the opportunity I'll try it. Funny thing is that in some way the "band aid" reminds me a bit of Bon Parfumeur's 302. I love that one, partially because there is something of a hospital going on. More than any particular scent, these kinds of video's make me want to look up and find perfume specialty stores.
Hi Justin, all Halfeti are great, personally I prefer Halfeti Leather. Beach Hut Man is probably the best Amouage, I even prefer it over Jubilation, BRacken Man, Interlude Man and Royal Tobacco. Declaration is nice, but I prefer L'homme Ideal intense. I loved Beau de Jour so much that I got me a 50ml. Try their Bois Marocain, re-released 2 months ago or so. Argos I've yet to try. Dior Homme 2020 is ok, I prefer it over the original (that was too powdery to me). However, I prefer the sports, maybe I should wear it. Not sure we have Masque Milano or Frapin here. Gucci Guilty absolute is available here in Dubai even in the Gucci store. Love it! Desir Toxic is interesting. There is something in it that throws me a bit off. I think I should give it wear.
Hi Maan, I need to try Bois Marocain. I hear that Ebene Fume might be a bit similar.
Definitely give Desir a full wear rather than smelling it up close. The cannabis can throw people off.
@@stayfreshproductions Ebene Fume is very refined, classy and no slouch. Honestly if you are smelling Bois Marocain the first time, you might prefer Ebene Fume (smoked ebony), I totally appreciate the complexity and depth of it. They are both amazing and I really wonder why they were released so closely. BTW, if you intend to smell both add Costa Azura to the list, I think you will love the aromatics in it.
Triumph of Bacchus is just stunning. I've eaten about 1/4 into a 30ml bottle in the last month or two, and I definitely have a 100ml bottle on my horizon.
I agree.... I love Bacchus for going out on a winter/fall night... Lasts long and projects very well.... I also enjoy helfati cedar, smells really good.
I have Beach Hut Man, Beau de Jour, Guilty Absolute, Declaration Parfum, & Dior Homme. All of them I think are incredible but I have a love/ hate thing with the Gucci. I've gone from really liking it to detesting it & now find it acceptable.
Love TF Beau Du Jour. Uplifting fragrance especially in fall and winter time.
I know you speak from the heart, but can you do a review on Louis Vuitton's perfumes for men? Jacques Cavallier is such a great perfumer, and he does the entire line up
I've spoken about L'Immensite a few times, it's very good, albeit simple. Ombre Nomade is also nice
No cap that's crazy 🤣🤣 I said the same thing wen i bought replica fragrances, i was like what these don't come with caps what were they thinking
Layton definitely smells youthful. Desir Toxic sounds like a better alternative.
Justin,
I can tell you the “why haven’t you” for desirtoxic is that it just simply isn’t available at American retailers or sample shops. I will keep an eye out though or pick it up if I visit France next year! Do you prefer this to Layton Exclusif?
Agree with you about Dior Homme 2020, but I gotta give it up for the top “blue” fragrances like bleu de Chanel parfum and Y Le Parfum. Similar vibes but to me they are far beyond a traditional blue fragrance in terms of quality and uniqueness. I put them above say Dior Homme 2020 and bleu noir edp which I both like a lot. Out of Dior Homme 2020 and bleu noir edp, which do you prefer? (I would say similar class, approachable, woody, mass appeal, but still somewhat unique, and recommended by you)
Do you think approachable, woody fragrances will become the new blue fragrance for the next decade?
Great video my man!
Video idea because you kind of touched on it with Triumph of Bacchus: how do fragrance age? Do they get stronger? More complex? Do they change character? You get the idea.
Great question!
Great job Justin. Astounds me that people don't just buy a pocket atomizer for $3 and reapply for those fragrances with less longevity. Best 2 fragrances that no-one talks about in my view are Jo Malone Golden Vetiver and Fzotic Five. Incredible.
Thank you! I agree.
Just ordered beau de jour the other day.
Guilty Absolute definitely smells like a band-aid. Personally could not get into it, but can sort of see the appeal to some.
Hi Justin great review on these fragrances. Is any of the fragrances can be worn by ladies. 🇨🇦
I've talked about ladies' scents with my wife!
ruclips.net/video/11f-5KRWoSs/видео.html
Stay Fresh Productions Baby!!!
I'm getting some samples. 🙂
Weirdly enough, I ordered a couple 10ml decants of Dior Homme 2020 from DecantX to try and share, surprisingly I received the older version with the prominent Iris note. They were labeled Dior Homme 2020, but the juice was definitely the original Dior Homme.
Cool! But strange
@@stayfreshproductions I reached out to them and explained the mistake and they are sending me a couple 2020's. Now I patiently wait to see if it's the Iris again...
Hey Justin! As always appreciate the videos. I too am an Argos enthusiast and after buying the discovery set I immediately bought 3 full presentations with Triumph of Bacchus being easily in the top 5 scents of my collection. What I wanted to ask you is if you've gotten your nose on Nemean Lion. I know you know Christian personally so wanted to know if you've smelled it and what your thoughts were. Appreciate you brother!!
Thank you bro! I'm glad you dig them!
Getting some samples, thanks. 👍🏾
There is a plethora of Arabian colognes that no one is talking about. Will you preview some of them?
Maybe!
My 10 Masterpiece are :
TF Beau De Jour
TF Tabacco Vanille
Channel Platinum Egoiste
Hermes Terre edp
Gucci Elixir
Guerlain Home extreme
Hermes Jardin Mediterrane
YSL Y le parfume
TF Soleil de feu
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur
Where can I find Beach Hut man? I went to Bergdorf Goodman and it was unavailable
Might have to get a sample online.
Hi Justin, Have you ever tried Unleaded Fuel for Men by Donna Karan, I am looking for a great clone of Donna Karan unleaded fuel for men from the early 1990’s. Can you recommend anything ?
I haven't tried it!
Tried the Dior Homme and Dior Homme Intemse -- no good for me. Just like Hermes Terre and Hermes 24 both no good for me
The minute your said sexy, I knew DesirToxic must have cardamon. And sure enough. Is there another note is all of perfumery that is so purely used to make men’s fragrances “sexy?” It’s the note perfumers use to say “hey, this is sexy”
You’re right!!
I had no idea this gentleman plays the trumpet 🤦🏾
:)
Respectfully, "medicinal and maybe smells like a band-aid" is not something i wanna hear for a recommendation. Still, i look at it as a recommendation of what not to buy, so thanks Justin.
YT comment section always eating my comment.
Sampled Halfeti Cedar per your recommendation, and it has very limited use cases. I don't even wear Oud for Greatness, so could never own it. Beach Hut Man - sampled it when I first got into Amouage, it's a fairly unique fougere, but again, very much mature and doesn't suit my outgoing youthful personality if that makes any sense. Argos... as much as I want to try the 2-3 scents that have gotten mention, cost of getting in is kind-of stupid and there's no voucher either. If I'm going to go that hardcore, I'd legit rather get into an even more hidden house like Areej le Dore.
Scents that I praise: Royal Crown "Sultan" - number 1 vanilla fragrance in the market today. BDK's "Gris Charnel Extrait" - an elite masculine leaning spring-fall aromatic. Atelier des Ors "Lune Feline" - perfect vanilla-cardamom gourmand, Extrait brings smokiness and extra strength.
No man can't stand GGA surely. For me it's pointless artistry. still need to smell the amougae and halfetti cedar. most intrigued for those two! One more thing would say again, hope u dont get angry on me but it's not parfoom de marley bro it's parfaa de malelry like parfaa/eau de parfaa. it bother me somehow...now don't hate me for this bro :)
I own a lot of niche, high end fragrances, and Beach Hut man is my favourite by a country mile. I occasionally get unsolicited compliments from female strangers. I think it suits an outwardly masculine man.
Love it!
Does Gucci Guilty Absolute smell anywhere similar to Encre Noire A L’Extreme?! When you describe the Gucci, it sounds like how I view the Encre Noire.
Not super similar to my nose, though they share a few similarities in scent profile.
Guilty Absolute is a lot more leathery and medicinal and almost petrol-like, whereas ENE is more warm and woodsy and smokey.
Personally I think Guilty Absolute is the more challenging of the two. Probably one of the lesser blind-buy safe scents I’ve yet smelled. 😂
@@SirSillageSniffington Thanks! I thought I would never smell anything that is a less safe blind buy than ENE. Now I almost want to blind buy GGA. 😂😂
Some very slight similarities, the Lalique is perhaps a bit smoother.
hey if anyone has a sample of brass and soul i can buy i would love to get my nose on it
GG Justin ! I own beach Hut and just ordered a sample of desir toxic. I also have some kind of similar taste. I think that Amouage Bracken is far superior to Beau de Jour. I have to also try Dhomme 2020. I have the intense and parfum version of the previous release and they are very nice for designer fragrances.
The best one out there today is Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier, it smells amazing a big compliment getter, lasts for a very very long time.
Thought I made an Ebay sale at 4:06. sigh.
lol sorry!
That bottle is nice.
Pendiholigans
Endimon
Beau de Jour, beach hut man, halfetti and guilty absolute are definitely not my style of fragrances. I find them to be too mature smelling and they just don't fit my vibe. Beau de jour just smells ok in my opinion anyway. I do like L'humaniste, Dior Homme 2020 and triumph of bacchas though. those are definitely worth the money in my opinion.
second soul is top 3 dry down transitions of all time. it literally transforms into a completely different scent during the mid and the dry down is beautiful
I'm honored!
Truth.
Next time include the cost of the fragrance. It’ll be helpful to the viewers to sometimes make an easy decision
The reason why I don’t do that is because any cost I provide in the video will be obsolete for future viewers (months/years from now). There are links in the description, and the changing costs on those sites can be viewed by anyone from now till forever.
own the BDJ but selling it right now. don’t like the opening, it’s too medicinal and harsh. if it had a smoother opening, it would be perfect. but I don’t want to wait until it settles on my skin
Have you given it a full wearing yet? Or just smelled it up close?
Wore BDJ at a meeting an people were straight up offended. Saying they smelled horseshit ect.
@@stayfreshproductions wore it several times. it didn't even bother me at first. but when someone commented that it smelled medicinal, I started to notice it, too. it's the lavender note unfortunately.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beau de Jour is not for me... way to musty... this smells like an old library... IMO
I think so as well. I personally don't understand the hype it gets but to each their own. I purchased a 5ml decant and it didn't wow me at all. I thought it smelled just ok compared to the tons of other fragrances I have and have experienced over time. I also cant shake the "mature man" or older man vibe it gives me.
