Maëlle Gross (*1988, lebt und arbeitet in Lausanne und Genf) porträtiert in ihrer Videoarbeit «HotHeads» drei Frauen über 50, deren Hobby das Motorradfahren ist. Die Frauen sprechen über ihren einstigen Status als «Sandsäcke» - so der despektierliche Ausdruck für Beifahrerinnen - und den Moment, an dem sie selbst den Lenker übernommen haben.
In ihrer Einzelausstellung im Kunsthaus Langenthal präsentiert Maëlle Gross die drei Videos als grossformatige Projektionen in einer raumübergreifenden Installation mit verbindenden und ergänzenden Elementen wie LED-Schriften, Licht, Sound, Textilien und Objekten.

In her tripartite video piece “HotHeads”, Maëlle Gross (*1988, lives and works in Lausanne and Geneva) offers a portrait of three women over fifty who share a passion for motorcycles. The women speak about their erstwhile status as “sandbags” - the derogatory term for passengers - and the moment in which they took control of the handlebars.
In her solo show at Kunsthaus Langenthal the three videos are presented in large-format projections that take over the exhibition space as an installation combined with additional elements, such as LED-text, light, sound, textiles, and other objects.
