I’m gonna say this to all Giant fans: don’t be a slave to loyalty. This was a John Mara problem and not a Daboll or Schoen issue. Mara can let both of those guys go and will bring more ineptitude because he’s involved. Mara played the loyalty card for Jones and they’re paying dearly for it. Jones should’ve been franchised after 22 and let go last year.

I was thinking about the draft after the Texans pre season game. I knew it was over before the season even started.
The Giants have horrible ownership. So do the Jets but with the Giants it gets tiptoed around because of the name Mara.
They paid the wrong guy ! Now Saquon Barkley is going to show everyone how good he is now with Philly ! Daniel Jones is 10 times worse than Dave Brown the QB that took over after Phil Simms in the mid 90s !
Jones is hideous but paying Saquon would’ve been idiotic. Eagles were great without him, Giants were awful with him. He switched teams and nothing has changed. Same team still good, same team still bad. He doesn’t matter.
And you better trust and believe that he will have a career game against the Giants. I predict he will score five touchdowns against us!!

Joe Schoen is the first to go. Name one thing ( other than realigning a financial mess) he has done that has proven to be a great move. The draft? The Jones contract? His trades ( Simmons?). His head coach ( Daboll is a mess…. His interaction with the fans “ what can the Fiant do?” Score more points . An insult

Schoen gets a fair amount of blame in general, but why does he not get more heat for the Jones contract specifically? Why is it always "The Giants" who gave Jones the contract, while the General Manager is (rightly) criticized for draft picks, but not directly for the contract? Am I missing something? Was the Jones contract all Mara? Because the Jones contract itself seems like all the argument against Schoen returning anyone would need. Plus all the disappointing draft picks.
There is clearly something very wrong with this organization for like six decades now that, unless the HC is Bill Parcells or Tom Coughlin (or Jim Fassel for a minute), the Giants are the dregs of the NFL. It's weird.
The Giants have been a clownshow since they drafted Saquon, pulverized Eli into retirement and followed up with the drafting of Daniel Jones. They've been crap since 2018 really. Saquon was the bright spot on a shitty team where Eli had no choice but to check it down to him.
