Slam Dunk is amazing and definitely worth the read. Same with Vinland Saga. Both are right at the top as far as my favourite manga go. I haven’t heard that Land of the Lustrous was ending but maybe it is. The series goes on hiatus a lot. Personally haven’t read the manga for this but I did enjoy the anime. Hell’s Paradise is a good series if you want a dark battle shonen like JJK or Chainsaw Man. Message to Adolf I haven’t read anything from Tezuka so I can’t comment on it.
I have bought and read all of slam dunk just a few weeks back. I still can’t get over it. I wanted more of it but sadly i couldn’t. I also bought and read vinland saga just 2 months back the final panel of vinland saga volume 13 is very satisfying. It somehow felt like an ending in itself. I bought and read hells paradise also mid of this year only. Its a very good action manga. Had a great fun time with it. I heard about land of lustrous and message to adolf but never thought about buying and reading them yet. You can tell me how they are without spoiling once you finish them.
@@spacedog644 yeah. when you read the finale chapter of slam dunk volume 31. You will strive to keep reading more and more of it. But there is no way to do so. You will have this feeling for a while longer than expected. At least that’s what I am going through for the past few weeks.
@@nithinthota4057Yeah I’m not even half way through the story and I keep thinking to myself about how I’m going to miss all the characters when I’m done.
@@spacedog644 it’s said that Haikyuu has many themes in similar to Slam Dunk. But the art work is not grounded and realistic like Slam Dunk. Some of the panels look like DBZ kaioken action scenes. So I felt hesitant to start Haikyuu.
I have the entire run of Slam Dunk including 1-5 from Raijin. It’s just ok. It’s not even my favorite basketball manga. If I ever start selling manga, this will be one of the first runs I will unload. Vinland Saga is not bad; it’s different from almost any other manga in subject matter but it’s not very deep.
What do you think of these series?
Fantastic collection and you seem order like myself
@@247mrbThank you!
Alright I finished all of Slam Dunk and it was amazing.

Thanks for the thorough comment! It’s good to see that you have great things to say about these series.
Message To Adolf is a masterwork by the master. This one has multiple deeper messages.

I’m about ten volumes into Slam Dunk and I’m loving it!

I’m pretty new to sports manga so I’m interested in seeing how Slam Dunk compares to other series in the genre.
