It's pretty hard to explain. It's all about the fluidity and transitions. The dude does not display rehearsed stuff. He is an encyclopedia of moves but the moves are part of him and he displays them naturally. I prefer Alex's style but I understand why physs would win according to some. It's not all about the beatkills. Natural moves (simple as you put it) lack the energy of the flashy moves but they are NATURAL, REAL. REAL should prevail!
For me Alex is an arrogant person, does not care about people who want to learn from him. He has the same talent as many but he owes it to his coaches. others did not have coaches and yet they are good.
