You gotta just admire how good nuno is... He's one of the greatest guitarists ever...
This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about "playing the lead guitar" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got great success with it.
I know this is old but I agree. He’s definitely one of the greatest and extremely underrated by the public. Professional guitarists appreciate his skills though.

@@PB72UK I watched it and I’m struck by Brian May saying he could never duplicate that solo. That’s a huge compliment! Also love that Nuno’s black nails really let you see the complexity in his playing, you can really see them moving clearly. Plus he’s really easy to look at anyway 😂. I bet Nuno and Prince would’ve played together beautifully too.

I don't understand why people complain about Gary coming out on stage and taking over the vocal. Of course, it was staged.
Gary is such a great vocalist and front man... totally underrated.

Maybe it's because he uses a Hughes&Kettner amp instead of Randall here.

He has a tube screamer/od pedal built into his randall amp, do some research before you comment champ
+MrRyanGMusic93 I think you may need to research: Nuno-to this day-switches between his NB King 100s and Marshall. In this he is using Marshall.

Gary popping in to say hi and taking over is golden, but literally the crowd's energy went up!
It was only on my second hearing that I realised what Gary Cherone was actually singing , and it made me smile. If you don't know, he's not singing "funk". It's considerably more obvious in this live performance than the original recording. Nuno's guitar is still stunning.
Bought a copy of Pornograffiti in USA in 1992 and loved Extreme ever since so glad Nuno Gary n Pat are still rocking together!! 🎶😃🎶
There is no doubt that Nuno is one of the best rock guitarists of all time. He hasn't slipped a bit. Great presence and groove. I also liked hearing that the solo was still spot on to the original.
One of my favourite Extreme songs. I just love it. Gary and Nuno are great live. Gary has boundless energy and still stays in tune. Wow. I have seen them live twice and they are great. So talented.

Super loud, super fidelity, and super energy - not that many mega bands can say that about an "average" concert performance.
To "Nat Nat"... I'm pretty sure you have never met Gary Cherone. But I am positive that if you ever do meet him... you will not think he is an egomaniac. Gary is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Not to mention an amazing vocalist/songwriter/frontman. Keep your ignorant Judgements to yourself thank you

Back in the 90s I bought the Washburn N2 based on his signature N4 minus 2 frets.. It was cased since then as to this day I still haven't learnt to play it, but last week handed it to my 13 yr old daughter to take up the gauntlet and learn.

I used to think Cherone, while good, seemed to try too hard. An old band mate saw him with Van Halen and said Gary Cherone was the best part of the show. Well in all the live vids i have watched he backs his shit up! Good voice, can use different styles, gets the crowd into it, and proves that he belongs up on stage and has great stage presence. Singer, frontman, talent. I guess being the lead in JC Superstar was a good fit....damn I hope i can see Extreme live one day.
Seen them a few times over the years (Pornograffitti through to Saudades Du Rock and several festivals, always good, way they bounce off each other and the talent they always brought Queen to mind (but at the risk of a little controversy, I've always thought Extreme were the better band)

Yes indeed👍 ...Gary's not only a very good vocalist but a super awesome frontman and his stage presence is off the chart, watched the "Queen Wembly tribute from 1992" almost a hundred times already and it still give me chills every time I watch..so amazing and breathtaking performance. Gary Cherone has the whole Wembly under his command and spell. How he dominated that stage that day is just the most nostalgic and epic tribute ever. Other bands that performed that day sounds so mediocre and bland, Extreme set the bar sooo high that even Guns and Roses and Metalica cant match. What a talented performer and what a talented band! Extreme Rules!🤘
I bought it 25yrs ago, got hooked on it and still listen to it. What’s good back then is still good now.

Have seen extreme twice in the 90s and they sounded even better than the records.
Garys one of the best singers in Rock Period ,and no better front man ...Ian Astbury's the only other I can say gets close it's not about range it's all about heart ,bands like Extreme and Mr Big please come back no glam just pure talent ..and Gary U did a great job in VH they just never gave you the chance ..and they tried to sound like Extreme ...and Nuno well DUDES from another planet

I remember reading an interview with Richie Sambora years ago on the back of a British Rock Magazine (probably Kerrang or Metal Hammer) and one of the last questions they asked him was are there any up and coming guitarists he thought people should be looking out for. He named just one. Can you guess who that was? Yes. And he wasn’t wrong

This is the second time I have watched this, and I'm starting to notice a few inconsistencies between audio and video, I don't know why or how, but they were definitely there.
i think nuno's vocal might be prerecorded... at 4:05 when he moves the mic you can still hear his backup vox even though he turns the mic to the audience... not sure tho
From above: When you buy the CD and DVD pack, it explains this. They played the same exact concert two nights in a row. They tried to duplicate it as well as they could. They took the best sounds from the two nights, but didn't cut the video. There are a few places that they played different things, missed a thing or two, etc. This is why the video doesn't perfectly line up in every instance. This whole show has a few of these here and there.
