“Intimidated with journaling” is exactly what i am feeling right now. When i heard you said tht, i was like hOw DiD yOu KnOw???? Anyway, i am planning to start journaling, but i am not good with arts. I feel intimidated when i saw a lot of people making a very aesthetic and amazing journal entries. After so long i decided to just go with it and start, regardless. I ordered alot of stuffs for journaling and i cant wait for them to arrive. Thank you so much for this video! It definitely inspires me alot!

I feel you and I was also intimidated with journaling. I really wanted to express myself in a more artistic way, in things and feelings that I couldn't put into words, but I didn't know how because I don't have any artistic ability. so I was stuck for a long time, but I found a very good way to journal. It’s just doing all the art in editing programs, Canva, some photoshop app, Pinterest edits and stuff like this, and when the artwork is done, just print it on paper (I now use spiral notebooks, so I take the sheets out and put them back in without a problem)

That's a great idea! I have a shoebox full of stuff I could put in a journal. That would be so much more fun to flip through instead of dragging out a shoebox. :)

But when I stumbled upon this community I felt that I had to follow certain “ rules” Thank you for showing us we don’t have to follow the rules!! So glad I found your channel!! Your creativity is wonderful as are you!! :) it has inspired me to get started on a journal

A way that I love to do hidden journaling is to open the envelope fully (unstick it and fold flaps out) then write on the inside of the envelope itself - it works great, then you can use a magnet or fastener to close it all back up again

I was actually looking for easy ways to finish my current journal. I usually get really impacient to finish one so I can start a new one, so I will definitely be using some of these ideas.

If you add clear packing tape to receipts they don't fade much. I have some from 10 years ago that are still as bright as the day I got them. Worth a try if the place is special.
I tried that once and it faded the receipt within a few days! I guess it depends on the tape you use!
this definitely helped. im running by a few craft stores with my momma tonight to get some stuff for scrapbooking, actually. i had just started to lose my motivation to do so despite feeling so excited and anxious to do it because my friends dont seem supportive of it, my parents think it's a little odd (in the way that i showed them which is basically just having fun with color schemes and making it pretty) and nobody seems excited about it.. but im still looking into it and im excited for it again so thank you :(

Another thing I like to do when I'm stuck for inspiration is choose a colour and create a random collage using scrapbook papers and magazines pictures 🙂

Love these easy journaling ideas and seeing your face on the video. One thing I like to do is put a piece of wrapping paper from each gift I get for any occasion. I also like to put a piece of the wrapping paper I use to wrap gifts for others. It's amazing how the styles change - even in wrapping paper!

Haven't watched your channel for a bit, for some reason it hasn't been coming up on my feed ...until today! Love the video, the inspiration and the great ideas, but most of all, I loved seeing you in front of the camera! I totally understand why people prefer to keep their face, family etc out of view, but having people like you, in front of the camera occasionally (who I've watched for a really long time) feels kind of like getting together with a good friend that I rarely see. So thank you for being willing to do that. I pray God protects you and your family from the strange people that I'm sure come with the job. God bless.

Great ideas! I keep giving journals to my friends and they are afraid to “mess it up!” Whaaat?? I tell them “just start with any page…just start!” So this video is perfect for them. (I forwarded it to them.) Lives aren’t blank…so one’s journal shouldn’t be blank either. Also, love seeing your face…very personal. Thank you for inspiring me and others. 👏

Using receipts from your grocery store is a great idea. I got that idea from Kelly "Book & Paper Arts". Think what it's like for people who see that in 25 or 50 years. What we bought and what the prices were. So glad you use it too

Another good few ideas would be movie tickets, wrapping paper, I used some tags from clothing that I found cute. You can literally use ANYTHING

Thank you so much for making this video, it's deeper than so many other ones that solely focus on the *aesthetics*. I really love your scrap booking journal. My brother has shared with me an article from Psychology Junkie on personality types and the effective ways to de-stress, and although I do painting at times, the suggestion of scrap booking was new and sounded relaxing. A true way to relax because when I paint, as I tend to focus on trying to perfect it. But for scrap booking, it's something special. Thank you so much for teaching heaps about this subject in this quality video!

❤❤ Just heard this term and looked up videos to see what is what ..this was the 2nd video I came across & is amazing and you explain reasons to do it too. With beautiful colorful great page ideas... So glad Iwatched a second video..the first one (I watched a different creator )literally showed 4 books every page looked the same .it was like she cut up the same box of cards and made 4 books it was odd and prob put together just to do a video.and was making no sense to me .... Fab ideas, I still do hidden journalling as I don't like my handwriting. I also did some old memories in a collaged envelope at the back of my journal using your prompts in your other videos, of some music concerts I went to b4 covid.
