Just imagine being an elf, training for centuries to be the best, becoming a commander of a force, you are wealthy and have a wife and 3 kids and everything is good, you’re hearing some rumor about a guy killing everyone but that’s just a rumor. Then you see a guy in full plate, screaming for blood, drenched in blood, wielding the sword of Khaine and he just decimated your forces in 30 seconds
And not only that, but this ONE guy is somehow shrugging off the literal sun-blocking number of attacks coming from over nine thousand other elves, all while slaughtering them by the thousands and rushing straight towards you.
Race extinction in just a day, out did Arthas against Blood elves.
thats why you dont be a elf, become a ork or chaos to not get slapped into hell

And I thought a single unit getting 1000 kills was impressive.
When you have 80% ward save and two vortex spells one of which is free then it's not so hard.
Best I ever had was 1.5k

The trick is to fight enemies who crap out huge stacks of absolute trash units (Tomb Kings, Vamp Counts, Skaven), Some lords and heroes can get absolutely absurd kill counts when going up against armies like that for much the same reasons Archaon did in this video.
My max level chaos chosen (great Weapons) that were at half strength after three stacks charged into the wastes to fight my Sigvald army at the beginning of my campaign...1400 kills

The real struggle of playing Chaos is getting pass the boredom playing as a horde army.
This campaign definitely was an uphill struggle. It took almost twice as many turns to finish as the High Elves (and with a LOT more 30+ minute battles fought).
@@Yrridian but you do it to achieve the power of the gods, Archeon is the most snowballing character in the game, as you clearly showed.
Yeah, and then the struggle ontop of that of trying to keep enemies down, instead of just CONSTANTLY taking all teh settlements you've razed...
@@MatteV2 you need allies that take those settlements after you destroyed them...
I really like horde armies because you can go anywhere. You are not confined to one place like most factions and not haver to worry about neutral factions declaring war on you and jumping several unprotected settlements at once.
I hope the Chaos and Beastmen rework will make them fun again.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Tyrion the Wise? I thought not; it's not a story the High Elves will tell you. Darth Tyrion was a Dark Lord of Chaos so powerful and so wise that he could use the Sword of Khaine to create... death. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice Archaon all he knew- after which he was imprisoned in a portrait in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from still life... but not himself.

As we walked along the flatblock marina, I was calm on the outside, but thinking all the time. So now it was to be Georgie the general, saying what we should do and what not to do, and Dim as his mindless greeding bulldog. But suddenly I viddied that thinking was for the gloopy ones and that the oomny ones use, like, inspiration and what Bog sends. For now it was lovely music that came to my aid. There was a window open with the stereo on and I viddied right at once what to do.
