So good to get a notification from one of my favorite IS300 channel! Was looking to get this exhaust myself for my IS. Besides the catback everything else is stock right? I know you described it as quiet compared to your old setup but I wouldn't want mine too loud. Based on the video, it seems like a good upgrade from stock.
I still have a resonator deleted on the exhaust pipe before the rear section so it would be even quieter on a completely stock exhaust!
@@StaticGarageUSA got it! Thanks a lot. The resonator delete doesn’t give you a CEL right? I’d probably do that too if it doesn’t. I like the way yours sound.

Glad to see some content again. Why dont you throw some washers where you bolt it up maybe it will push the exhaust down enough to clear the lip.
I did use two washers, any more I’d need a longer bolt!
try cutting up some thick sheet metal and put it on the rear lip so it doesn't melt the thickness should help with absorbing

I got a question though. So how are you planning up keep the tags up to date each year cuz I heard that it’s a big no-no to change the transmissions in California cuz of the smog check or something. I’m honestly curious cuz I’m debating on getting an automatic and swapping in the manual or just getting one that’s already manual

Why would you swap to a 1j when it comes with the 2jz ge it would be better to install a 2jzgte
If you looked into it, you’d see the 1jzgte has more similar things related to the wiring and setup than the 2JZGTE. For example, the 2JZGE and 1JZGTE both have wasted spark instead of individual ignition coils. Also, I don’t want to spend $6000 on a stock 2JZGTE.
