- An old school Kenworth log truck is recovered from the ditch after it ran off the shoulder in a curve. The trailer's weight tipped the truck against the side of the hill and the truck was stuck good. Highway 270 West of Hot Springs, Arkansas was blocked for 35 to 40 minutes due to the recovery.
This is amazing. It is wonderful to see these heavy machinery doing difficult works so easy and fast. Thanks a lot!

It is nice to see a positive outcome for log truck driver and his load, I am sure he was thanking the tow truck operator for sure.

Excellent job by the wrecker operator, outstanding piece of work.
would you believe i had a sigh of relief that ol Kenworth got itself out..am a fan of big rigs and i know theres nothing these big rigs cant do..if i win the local lotto, ill get meself a Kenworth painted in the old Navy blue and gold..great job guys!!!
Incredible. Thanks for posting this video.
This is my husband that was driving the Kenworth, great video! We just learned that this was on here! Over 2,000,000 hits wow! :)
Glad he made it out. Hopefully no more accidents. I sure You prefer to have Him home,
the wrecker and his truck seems real proffesionals to me!!! excellent job!!
Nice recovery!...Very well done!!
Wow, that's amazing how it got pulled out safely.
That Guy Running the Wrecker is A Top Notch Recovery Operator for Sure . TWO THUMBS UP !!
I was thinking the opposite. They almost lost the trailer and imo he should have had a winch line over the logs pulling ahead.
You said it Ronnie!! These guys must know what they are doing. I was sure that trailer was going to tip over.....

I totally agree with you! Unloading the truck IS the safe and smartest thing to do all the way around! This truck almost went over.
This is my husbands truck. He and I just watched this video today for the first time. Great video! The driver hit the ditch to avoid hitting traffic that was stopped and backed up in that curve. Great job by rescue crew too :)
A good driver never loses wood.
Thank God the log are safe!

Nice recovery work! these boys know how to do it.
lol.....first attempt, breaks still on, 2nd attempt didn't bother putting the other winch on the load, there lucky it didn't tip over, guess you don't have to be to smart to "operate" a tow truck
Ya,But the driver didnt.
eric wsmith can seem to find a video on your channel of you doing it better there hotrod .....

love the stabalized footage!
I'm amazed it all stayed together.
I'm from Maryland, so I don't get to witness these situations. This was really something for me to see. WOW!!!
Amazing that truck drove out of the ditch!! I didn't see any wrappers on the load though.
What an AWSOME driver he is!!
done very well to get it all out in one piece
good job! congratulations
I shot this video thinking it might get a few views but nowhere close to what it is now. The truck was stuck pretty good and I was interested to see how they would get it out.
Nice Recovery Very Good Job
me toco en español, es increible el poderio de esas gigantes maquinas.
very good .
I've been in similar situations but not quite that bad. I was peeking from between my fingers the whole time. Scary!
What most have not noticed is the recovery truck had his cable hooked to a jumper chain that was connected to the frame that the fifth wheel is welded to the truck. The lower winch on the rear of the recovery truck was used so as to have a downward pull on the truck to prevent both truck and trailer from rolling. Nice recovery this is how us pro' s do it and why we can charge what we do. Had the trailer rolled over recovery company would have ate the cost for causing more damage. Cheers
Update 3/18/13- I saw this truck driving a few days ago- it is still hauling logs.
Nice
es impresionante la potencia de estos camiones los mejores del mundo.16-10-2015.
Good save.GREAT EXPERIENCED OPERATOR.
Great!!!
The best Man
Me Too. I know they have in the past in at least Montana, Washington and Oregon!! Been to long since I've been around that kind of trucking!
Good recovery, very well done.
Hell yeah boy, Truckin.
Well done!

I can't believe they got that out without losing the trailer or the load. I thought for sure as soon as they started winching on the cab that the trailer was going to flip or at least the load was going to break free. I also thought they'd need a 2nd wrecker pulling from the side on the trailer to get that out safely. It made a little more sense once I saw the type of trailer but still thought the load would have let go.
You have some powerful towing trucks there.
Glad the string didn't break
Job well done; good driver
nice Video 👍
amazing chasis
Good recovery, fix that tyre on trailer and off she goes
Very profetional job
Can't beat a Kenworth
east bound and down, loaded up and trucking :P
Good work
The type of stabilization you're seeing here is applied after the fact via software. If the camera jerks down, the frames are moved up. This cuts off some of the top of the image, but keeps the image steady.
Most common with cameras that either have very poor stabilization or none at all.
Driver learned that it is much cheaper to slow down 10mph on curves and stay on the road.
.
great job
got the front of the truck on the road and that good ole' KW pulled its self out...
p.s. fram not messed up..tires just half flat...
fantastic..
Nice save
US trucks is sure built tough!
fearless guy, in the end of the video
very nice
Who knew Lincoln logs could be so scary?
I think that was a panic situation for the driver and the owner. thats why they agreed to pull with such a heavy load of timber. fortunately they were very lucky to recover it in this way without any big trouble to the truck and road...good luck....
would love to see video of how he got there in the first place.
Job well done Men.

Amazing how strong the fifth wheel is.
Dave Stratton, it doesnt have a fifth wheel
Good old Kenworth doing his last run ..
sure build those trucks strong!
Would all whee drive work? including the trailer?
Time to take the truck to the truck wash and the trailer to the shop for a new tire.

Great work between the wrecker crew and driver getting that out! Watching those rear tires come up was a bit hair raising!
is going back in the same hole with the rear axles is how they think they will get it out? chains? winch? seem that It's always happening there so why are they not ready for it??
Good work. Duane "Dog" Chapman is helping out too at 0:12...lol
The moving black frame is likely a video editor tool to eliminate the shake form the original.
I didn't think they could pull that out, I figured they would empty the truck first.
I think RUclips offers it when you upload as a free option
How nice, they even shovel the mud back. Definitely not NYC attitude.

I knew it! Arkansas!
wonder how many crossmmember rivets are left

They use that so if the camera is shaky, they can focus the inside frame and move the outside frame, which is that black frame moving.
Did she still pull straight after that massive force pull out of the ditch? Id thought that the body would suffer
Might have helped to put boards under the right front and the double boogie behind it. As such you had the single drivers, drive wheel free. It's was shocking that the logs pretty much stayed in the racks. The center of gravity was defied here.

I've seen an old school bus, but never an old school log truck. Where do the kids ride?
Was the frame warpped beyond recovery?
Did he use the deep reduction?
It would have taken longer to winch out,but a straight pull would have been easier on the KW's frame.Might want to check the front alignment on that KW.I've bent the frame on one doing that.
Pretty small loads in the USA(max 40 tons)...Canada and Australia load 80 tons+
with four trailer axles...Not too smart to bend the frame like that...have to unload and reload anyway...why destroy the tractor and the trailer?
i sure agree with you! it would be safer to both truck and trailer!
Nuno Saavedra Up north, same truck will pull TWO such loads...however, the logs are properly secured...driver would face arrest in Canada for risking public life and property like that! There's hardly anything holding the lumber...

this kw reminds me of the one in smokey and the bandit!
Surrly he was a Harley Davidson lover, Looking at those bikes across the street just made him forget he was driving a TRUCK.
Trust me its better then enabling youtubes vid stabilization makes me feel seasick have to turn most videos off. I think this is far better and make vid actually more stable.
chassis must be in screw shape after that
Reach is probably bent as is the frame on the truck and hes probably going to have to unload it anyway should have brought the loader down in the first place.
walter zachman ij
Your right. In the Pacific Northwest there would have been more wrappers on the load. One gut-wrapper by the rear bunks ain't legal.
Also, the bikers in the bar across the street would have been out in front of the bar yelling advice. LOL
Was that Dog the Bounty Hunter there at the beginning running the recovery effort?!
Wow at 2:00 I thought for sure they were going to loose the trailer. Now i know why most trucks on the road seem to be either Kens or Peters. LOL
the picture stabilization of the camera is really cool, how did you do that?
