Beautiful Cobra, dig the fact that you drove it 60 miles, ran it and drove home with no issues, that's a win win. Another factor most watching this video don't realize is the high elevation at Bandimere, 5000+ ft. takes the breath out of even 600 + hp cars.
Car looks amazing. But you might wanna check to make sure the bypass valve line or the linkage is working fully. That "flutter" isn't really normally. It should stay wide open and just whosssssssh, when you let off.
Thanks Dallas! As much as I want to make more power with this car, I'm really trying to keep the street manners it currently has. Thanks for watching and keep an eye out for future content!
My friend mustangs got brutal torque u cannot take ur stang on street tires to the track get some slicks and trust me ur getting more than a second on the quarter , sharing my knowledge with u just for the record I have a 1987 fox body with a 347 engine and a Lil 80 mm ball bearing turbo no More need to say .
Thanks! This car is still running the factory style block and only 10 lbs of boost. it would take well over 600 hp to the tires to move a 3700 pound car to 130 mph. The is just a just full weight street car and by no mean a race car. Also the track I was running is in Denver Colorado and is over 6000 ft of elevation. Hopefully I'll get some content out soon on my other black turbo 94 Cobra. It is running a dart block and take the the kind of power to make the kind of power you're taking about. Thanks for watching and keep an eye out for future content!
You have great video editing skills, also I like your cobra to. I was thinking of a 94 in my future but based on the HP limits of the stock block, I think I'll just enjoy what I have.. a stock 01 cobra.
Get a Boss block, an SVO block, or hunt down a Mexican block. Or do what Ford did for the Cobra R, use a 351W! 😁 I had the pleasure of driving one 5 years ago and WOW!! Richard Holdener has a nice build on a 351W on here.
Hey mic, I have a sn95 that came with a 4.6! I swap the engine out and dropped a 351w/427w in it. If u go with a stock 351w block, people have neared the hp around 650hp without breaking them. Mine is mildly built 427w thats putting out 585hp and that stock block is happy 😊! So it's just a thought and would be a better hp for the money over that stock 302 block
I've got a 94 gt looking to trap about 115 in the quarter mile with boss block 5.2 build 4.125×3.0 ....its best is 12.9 @108 but since then I have switched cams from an f cam to a lunati 228/236ported my trickflow 170's heads and switched from longer runner track heat to box r . Went from a mid length 1.5 headers to accufab 1 3/4 longtubes we will see.
There's something else going on with your car because mine made 11 lb of boost in mine was a 98 gt supercharged 308 whp and my car ran 12.9 at 107.8 your car got a built motor with 10lbs of boost I think you're down on power somewhere cuz that should be easily a 10-second car
Thanks for watching! I'm not sure where you live but altitude played a big in what the Cobra ran that day. As far as the Cobra's performance, Bandimere speedway has an elevation over 6000 ft and that's not taking into consideration what the air is that day. The car is 3700 lbs with me in it and I was 18" Nitto drag radials. The engine is built, but it's only running 10 psi of boost. I'm not making excuses for the car, but it just takes a lot more to get a car to run a good number at this altitude. Again, thanks for watching!
So I’m looking to buy a SN95 cobra . Beautiful car btw . Is this the 4.6 DOHC motor with a DSS short block ?? Or a Different motor ?? Hope I’m not asking a stupid question lol ??
Thanks! This is a 5.0 based pushrod engine, not the modular 4.6 DOHC. 94 and 95 and the last year SN95 to have a pushrod based engine in them. What year are you looking to buy?
Achilles heel of a SN95, 60ft. .... 2.2 is common which really is terrible a a trait of the platform. Cut it to 1.7, which takes work (and breakage) and you'll have a low 11s car.
Slow AF huh? Bring your bucket to Colorado and see how if fairs at altitude. This is a mild street car built with off the shelf parts. Nothing special at all. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Wilson! It's defiantly a street car. Thanks for watching and keep an eye out for more content on the Cobra and my other builds!
I knew you weren’t going to beat a turbo Honda on slicks but it made my day to see you beat that coyote on the last run.
Right! Damn things are quick!! I'm taking my Turbo Cobra to the track this weekend, stay tuned for upcoming videos of that. Thanks for watching!
@@phatkidgarage5941 oh absolutely will. I want to see that. Interesting builds.
On drag radials and a good launch that civic would've been a snack

Build that motor and pulley down then eat Hondas all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Saw this Cobra at Ford day a few weeks ago. One of my favorite cars there. Just a beautiful example of a Sn-95 Cobra 5.0!👍🐍
I had a 98 Jack Roush supercharged with side pipes and I love that body style of the side exhaust looks so good nice car
Sheeesh. My 2016 mt82 s550 ran 12.0’s at 117 with just an 18 manifold and a tune, really puts into perspective the technology of a coyote.
Beautiful car 👍

Thanks Eric, I'll look into it.
Yea. Sounds like a cracked line or too heavy of a spring
Time to order a small pulley lol, that 347 is wanting some more! Beautiful car man!
Thanks Dallas! As much as I want to make more power with this car, I'm really trying to keep the street manners it currently has. Thanks for watching and keep an eye out for future content!
Gives you perspective on how fast new mustangs, camaros, and vettes are.
Awesome powershifting man!!!
Thanks Roberto! Stay tuned for more content on the Cobra!

Nice 5.0 Cobra - but it should be running those times all motor! Who tuned it and what did it dyno at? Was expecting to see 130mph
Yes something definitely isn't right...mph should at least be 125

Thanks! I appreciate the input! Stay tuned for more on the car!

Watching this while sitting in my 94 Mustang GT 😫❤️🔥
Sounds like you need a different bypass valve. I don’t think it should flutter like that.
Can get your info because I have a cobra I want to fix
What rearend gears?

@@DHeagleBBQ Nice! those cars respond very well to boost!
Did you ever Dino it?
Wat part of Colorado r u from I'm from fortlepton
Bad ass car. How much power dose the car make?
Thanks! The last time it was on a dyno it made 535 to the tires.
Needs some Fikse FM5 wheels
nice looking car!
Nice cobra. I just bought a very clean 95 cobra.
Thanks!
Second pass is like every Saturday night drag strip circa 2002
Good job!
Thanks for the support Vernon! I really appreciate the views! Stay tuned for more content.
how much boost were you pushing?
10 psi.
Exhaust?
Nice Vid🙌🏻 Car looks sick😎
Thanks Man!!

Nice car .
Nice MPH, what else is done to it?
DSS 347, AFR 185's, Victor EFI intake, D1 Procharger 10 PSI of boost.
That car can do 10s, I think you're just taking it easy.
Why is it so slow?
chevy motor in it lol
Awsome
🙆👍👏👏👏👏Fantástico Felicitaciones 🇦🇷🇦🇷
Nice car but it should be alot faster 🤔 I ran that time all power capri 5.0
Would've been semi fast back in the 90s lol
GT w/built motor and bodykit . Not a cobra
What makes you say that?
2.2-2.3sec 60ft on vht prepaired dragstrip.. got that amount of power and rwd.. is pretty bad. Even fwd shitty civic was faster on 60ft 😂😂
Shits slow as fuck for the work involved
Slow AF huh? Bring your bucket to Colorado and see how if fairs at altitude. This is a mild street car built with off the shelf parts. Nothing special at all. Thanks for watching!
Really...So I guess you have a much faster car...I seriously doubt it...Nice run in your SN95
Lmao my 94 cobra pro charged cobra is a lot faster learn to drive dude
