Good God those pronunciations.
The most American thing I've ever watched 😂😂
More shocking than the fouls 😂
Ah well. I think just cutting an already abbreviated UEFA to simply Yoo-ay-fa as we say it, or Prem-ee-er instead of Prem-eer,goes to show he's not too familiar with the game
Gra may Souness was a personal favourite 😂
He butchered *EVERY* name
the "eigiax" got me, really good
The way he says Ajax…
The way he says Graeme Souness😂
I remember one of these sorts of videos saying the "wee-yoo-fah champions league" about 10 times, it was brilliant
EDIT: lol, Weirder Bremen
@@FRESHNESSSSSS i’m just glad he pronounced Portsmouth correctly. After the rest of the vid I really thought he’d say “Ports Mouth!”
The way he says "one to zero" 😂
@@Aisatsana1971 That famous german player, Thomas Mew-ler
15 Most Brutal Mispronunciations Ever Done
idk about you my favourite manager is Arsoney Wenger
@@craigshilo4137 My favourite team is the A-Jacks.
Less than 30 seconds into the footage - U.E.F.A and A-Jax! - Yeah - this commentator knows his soccer ball :D
@wt5657 it's kinda true :\
And don't forget the famous coach Arsenay Winger
Some of the pronunciation by the narrator in this video 😂
“Ay-Jax”
“Boot studs”
“One to zero”
The way he pronounced the name "Graeme"
Also "Arsay-nay wanger"
U-E-F-A 🤦🏻♀️
Ayjax, Standard Liaygay, paypay😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
arseney wengerr
"PayPay" is diabolical 😂
Roy Keane: best midfielder to grace the Premier league. And an amazing man utd captain.
oof the leg breaks are mad. i had broken leg just above the ankle and have metal to fix it. seeing your foot hanging off is something you can't unsee
I remember seeing No.6 live. It was horrendous. Eduardo was Arsenals new young Star, never got back to his best afterwards.
Yeah. Still makes me ridiculously sad as an Arsenal fan. Absolutely horrific injury, killed our season & he was never the same player 😥
8:24 - The score is zero zero!
It's nil nil :D
Mhmm..same difference.
@@NobodyNowhere888no .not really...not at all..😂😂😂
@@NobodyNowhere888Nope. Absolutely not the same. You wouldn’t say 40 -zero in tennis would you? 🤣🤣
Ben Thatcher, the culprit in no. 3, was one of the dirtiest players I’ve ever seen. On another occasion, playing Sunderland, he did exactly the same thing, knocking their winger out with a deliberate elbow when they were converging at a combined speed of well over 30 mph. He should have been banned for life.
The commentary is comedy gold
a-JAX, U E F A - Nah, I'm out on this one bro. The fuck is that shit?
Really looking forward to the Super Bowl this weekend. 3 second bursts of sport, intertwined with 8 hours of analysis and commercials.
Yes, apparently the adverts are the best bit 😂😂
Yes the criminal law applies to actions in sports just as much as elsewhere. Obviously the context would be that players expect a reasonable amount of injury according to the circumstances, but if a player maliciously attacks another then they could be prosecuted for it.
You are correct sir. Duncan Ferguson served thee months for head butting an opponent in 1994.
Duncan ferguson got sentenced to 3 months in jail for headbutting an apponent while playing for rangers in Scotland.
The first person in UK football. It was only against Rovers. The Old Firm derby is a highlight, 07/04/2024 is time for Ranger to come out on top.
Ajax Amsterdam...Pronounce it as Eye Axe (EyeAxe)...he pronounces it as a worldwide washing up liquid. Just a fun fact for you mate.
I know a Welsh guy broke his neck playing rugby for Wales in the 1980s and finished the game. Discovered the next day luckily no paralysis 😂
Gareth Thomas I believe it was
@@Wolfsong27FlyHalfFullHeart JPR Williams did this too.
Have a look at the incident from 1978 when Bridgend played the touring All Blacks.
JPR Williams had the side of his face ripped open, a deliberate act on the part of John Ashworth.
One of the best things about this video, is the American commentator haha!
he kinda sounded like seth rogen
I don't think the narrator pronounced a single noun correctly xD
You could do a compilation of Eric Cantona's bad fouls from his time in France alone that would be more brutal than this lol
This narrator butchering many many names 😂😂😂
Thank you for announcing the sport correctly I appreciate that a lot
You can only react to the videos you watch, but the commentator has no idea what he is talking about. Its quite hilarious tbh. That Eduardo injury was sickining, I remember it so vividly.
Arsenay wen-ga Hahahah
The US narrator is hilarious with his pronunciation Ajax = "A-yax" Liege = Li-eyje"
#7 the reason it did not show the injury to his thigh is because it was so graphic. It literally tore a huge chunk of flesh from his thigh. The best way to describe it was that his thigh got scalped. You could literally see his muscle and connective tissue.
Nothing like hearing the sound of a leg break on the pitch, happened twice when I was playing
Grammay Souness.
every talking about ajax but that was Wayyy worse lol
"death treats? I'm not making an appearance. Put me on an zoom meeting or something" - JPS, 2024.
Realest words ever spoken. A threat against my life? Good luck bro, because I ain't gonna be there waiting to die lmao.
I think every American reactor has covered this video now
In 2002, goalkeeper of a Romanian team died at hospital as a result of an unintentional incident during a training session. Who is saying that football(soccer) players are soft never played the game and I bet they will spit their lungs out after 10 minutes.
They see the flop and think its because they are weak but their ignorance cant understand it’s technical, to draw a foul or to get some rest, as a striker if i feel you push me in the box even if it isnt enough to have me fall normally i will fucking throw a front flip on yojr ass lol😂😂
Can't get away with it now since the introduction of VAR.
They were aluminium studs, not iron. We still use them, and in Rugby too. Metal studs used to be enforced at school because plastic studs got sharp if you walked on concrete with them, whereas metal studs stayed blunt.
LOL funniest video ever "his shoe fell off" LOL
6:15 yep, sure. Look up Niels Kokmeijer. Actually no, don't. Long story short; he had has leg kicked in half, fearing he may not be able to walk for the rest of his life. He did recover, however his career was over. He filed a claim and the prosecutor also followed suit.
They go down like they've been shot. Give them an Oscar. I used to play Football, but i had to quit after a brutal injury
Ben Thatcher was a savage , how he never received a longer suspension for that foul on Pedro Mendes is beyond a joke.
They this guy pronounces some of these names is hilarious. 😂 surely you would check before you recorded the video. Not just make it up on the spot 😂😂
Americans shouldn't make football videos.
Cringe af
ayjax, pay pay, U E F A, one to zero💀
Grammay? GRAMMAY?! I'm offended by that!!!
I died twice mate, they used the electric machine to restart my heart twice, am so lucky to be here, but hey can watch your videos! lol 😊
Totally agree with you Joel. I’m a runner and injury’s are so bad, the ones that mean that you can’t run for weeks get to you mentally too.
I'm a Stoke fan and I was there for the match when Shawcross broke Ramsey's leg. I relived the sick feeling in my stomach when I saw that broken leg.
A foul on a standing leg as always more serious than a leg thats off the ground,
Its pronounced eye-axe not Ay-jax 😂
Literally spent that time correcting names lol!!
Good morning sports fans!
Today we are going to watch some socia. It's currently 1 zip to the new york pumpernickels.
Join us after the break, when the game would have finished an hour a go.
Yeeeehaaaa
And they haven't shown when Cholo Simeone (Atlético Madrid) made a hole to Julen Guerrero's (Atheltic Bilbao) leg 💀💀💀
6:25 players depending on how impacting and intentional the foul was, can get from a simple fine to a lifetime ban from football
Morning Joel, as a Silver-haired Grandmother most of those really made me wince.. YIKES.
Best wishes from Wales 🏴😊
I remember the studs being screw in and made of aluminium not iron
I was waiting for Roberto DiMatteo's triple leg break against St Gallon to come up. I remember seeing that live back in 2000, that was much worse than most of these by far! So tried to find a clip but all I could find was written articles about it, no actual footage.
Keane is a pundit now and has mellowed a bit, very funny guy these days
He should have had a permanent ban from football, even punditry. The man is a disgrace!
My captain 😍😂
As a central midfielder myself my mantra is: "You might get past me, the ball might get past me, but not you and the ball will get past me!"
A-jax 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 tell us you’re American without telling us you’re American 🤣
Can't believe Neil Simpson's stomp on Ian Durant wasn't in this.
I watched a youth US soccer match this afternoon. Things got so heated between the 2 teams that they stopped playing and were pushing and shoving each other. To the best of my knowledge Table Tennis England insures all of its members, including us at the bottom of a local league, against any litigation taken out against us for the sport. Dominic
We do laugh at American voice overs of soscher.
John Terry was in trouble, but also got lucky. That physio that ran on immediately had just been there helping another player before the corner kick. He was actually the physio for the other team, also England who John Terry was captain of at the time. Usually the referee calls the physio if needed, but he saw, and just ran straight on to deal with it. True human nature of the good kind.
Duncan Ferguson, who played for Rangers and Everton, as well as a few others teams, got a 3 month prison sentence back in 1994 for head-butting Raith Rovers defender John McStay whilst playing for Rangers. He served his time in glasgows notorious Barlinnie Prison. His charge was of on field assault. That' s the only time anyone's served a prison sentence, or even been charged, as far as I know.
"did anybody else see his leg just dangling" 😂😂😂
9:40 put me on a zoom meeting
😅 cracked me up
That tackle at 9:00 was shocking, the studs opened his leg right up! Looks like someone took a knife and sliced it down his 🦵 🔪
I like the way they say that he swallowed he´s toungue even so that it is not possible to do so...
4:11 the way he pronounced my favourite club just makes me want to die...
Football is gentleman's game played by thugs. Rugby is a thugs game played by Gentleman. - Oscar Wilde
"Ruffians"
The Primear league 😂😂😂
Best British film( well my favourite anyway) dead man’s shoes
Give it a watch you won’t be disappointed
totally agree
Football is a violent game. It always has been.
European football is a game played by ballerinas, unlike rugby
@@markgt894 "European football" 🤣 Never heard that one before.
There’s an old quote: ‘Football is a gentleman’s game played by thugs and Rugby is a thugs game played by gentlemen’
Ewald Lienen can´t be shown on youtube? The Photo was all over the newspapers back in the day.
Roy keanes foul on haalands father was brutal
Ajacks 😂
"Roy Keane snitched on himself in his autobiography, why would you do that?"... Well whatever amount he was eventually fined, he would have made a helluva lot more in book sales...
Ignore every pronunciation this VO does, Ajax, Bayern, UEFA, all of it, and I'm literally 1:20 in
the pronunciation in this is actually shocking, who the fuck is "ayjacks" hahahahahaha
4:15 holy shit another one hahahaha "Grahmay"
Both Eduardo's and Ramsey's bones were sticking out of their leg. Sickening.
The end 😂😂😂
NO COMMENT. 😅😅😅😅
In Glasgow Scotland we have the Old Firm derby. Celtic versus Rangers. In the history of the game Celtics goalkeeper was killed in an accidental collision with a Rangers player. It was 1931. It's listed in Wikipedia
"Grammay" 😂
That was worse than any of the fouls
My dad played football professionally in the late 80s, early 90s and in 1996, a guy stepped on his knee and broke it so bad that my dad had a surgery at the biggest/best hospital in the country. They put screws in his knee and he had his knee in gips for 6 mo. No work, no sports, just laying in bed.
Did I miss Zidane?😅
that was nowhere near as brutal as any of the fouls in this video...
David busst,breaking his leg,worst I’ve ever seen
I was at that game… apparently the players needed therapy afterwards.
Please stop calling me “Bro”
americanism
no worries bro
@@craigshilo4137 God, dude, you’re so funny!
you want to see that Eduardo one properly - his foot was hanging off lol
13:28 you know, even in boxing elbows aren't allowed
1:09 A jacks 💀
"What does one have to do to get a red card in England?" Sir, I give you, Alan Pardew.
I can not say if any player has ever been brought to a Criminal court for intentionally causing an injury on the sports field, he may however be charged by the FA (The Ruling body of UK Football) or The European equiverlent for bringing the game into disrepute.
I’ve seen quite a few reactions to this and each time the comments are just cringing because of the pronunciation. IT JUST GETS WORSE THROUGHOUT.
The way he says Graeme Souness still haunts me
Now you know how the chant “The referee’s a wanker” came into fruition.
At least the first American I've seen respecting football not calling it soccer
He looks like prestige clips😂😂
Missed Zidane's world cup final headbutt 😂 ...also Keane pretty much helped end Haaland'scareer
that was nowhere near as brutal as any of the fouls in this video...
There's a football court about those fouls and stuff like that.
Saying why are you outing yourself is pure comedy… you obviously don’t know Roy Keane 😂
Comments:
10% about fouls
90% about mispronunciations.
Ignoring the criminally shocking pronunciation - difficult as that is... no the real crime is at the end of the Graeme Souness playing for Rangers (that's a team from Glasgow, Scotland) clip, the Voice over guy moves onto the next clip by saying "staying in England" a clip from the English Premiership.
Talking for the Premier League, as it's the main thing I know, if a player commits a violent act upon on another player during the game, then that could be charged as a crime in English law. Just because they're taking part in a sport, and being professional sportsmen, doesn't exempt them from the law. Deliberately injuring someone, or intending to, is punishable by law.
