I have that book (well worn) but I overlooked that trick. Just proof that you know how to spot 'em & perform 'em so they become gems. I tend to dislike "spelling" tricks so I'm thinking of different ways to get to their card. 12 is great for that. 1) Draw a mystical triangle w/ 2-3-2 at the corners, then multiply them. 2) Draw a pair of 6 dice faces ("box cars") then use some patter about your guess being a crap shoot. 3) Draw a clock face and say it's chiming 12 times in your mind.
Great ideas!! You could essentially make it any number away from the prediction. Say, 9. And do the old 9 force! Basically you have the participant name or write down any 3 digit number. Then you have them reverse this number and subtract the smaller from the larger. The result will always have a 9 in the middle. And plus, the two outside number will always total 9 when added together!
Damn, what a treat! I find it so good, like it's this kind of effect that are so simple, and yet so powerful, I love it! I'm definitely going to use that one!
