Jackie left out the part that he was only 15 years old when he did that movie! it must have been the greatest experience of a young kid's life! It's no wonder that he's going on to produce so many great films himself. WE LOVE YOU JACKIE!!!
He's a couple years, older than me, he might have been 17, in an interview once he said 15, but it was filmed a while before it was released. Seems like a hundred years, and yesterday, all at the same time....

He was so concerned about Jackie’s injury that he continued acting until the director said, “Cut!”
That's probably because he didn't want to ruin the scene Jackie had paid such a heavy price for. If the scene turns out good, Jackie gets a great story and scene out of it. If Bruce broke character and the scene couldn't be salvaged, it would've been a lose-lose situation.
@@dagman85also pretty sure they used film rolls to shoot, so if he just got out of character the roll would be wasted.

It's not the best part of the story. Apparently Jackie played up how bad it hurt so that Bruce Lee would pay attention to him. And during the next take, Bruce gave Jackie a thumbs up and Jackie said that he knew that thumbs up was for him which is so wholesome

Jackie definitely looked up to Bruce early on, but it seem like they both see each other as equal when this happened.
It happens more often than you think. People miss shots in fight scenes and oftentimes that leads to actual hits. Most actors are horrified when they actually injure a coworker.

He had to act the role on screen, but off screen is how he truly acts. And it’s nice to hear that he immediately worried for the other actors once the camera is down to make sure they’re alright.

Bruce Lee was an amazing martial artist and he did act but overall he had like a 10 million net worth and Jackie Chan has a 350 million net worth. Jackie is a martial artist himself as well. They are both legends and they both are much more than actors.
It's wonderful of how one person can affect another one's life. Both people are legends. The only difference is Jackie Chan lived long enough to tell his story while Bruce Lee died young and didn't complete it. I wish he lived today and the two of them talked during that interview. I respect both.
