It is hard to believe that this monsters are able to go up on the river Shelde. It is curving back and forth and tend to thick fog in the morning. When I was serving in the German merchant marine on 7 ships we have gone up on the river no less than 30 times. Sometimes we had to stop or even anchor when the fog was thick as pea soup. Now days with superior technology, more deeper dredging and well trained pilots it is possible.
