- Everything eats a sardine! When you can find them, they are absolutely one of the best live baits you can put in a well. In the spring and summer time off South Florida, large schools of sardines move in on the patch reefs anywhere from 10 to 40 feet of water typically. They are a primo bait for tuna, sailfish and just about any pelagic you can think of. In this video, we ran north off Jupiter to load up on sardines to put in the pens. This video covers how to target them, tackle to use along with livewell recommendations and how to care for them. Below are links on all the terminal tackle you need to catch sardines on your own boat!

Our pleasure!
If you can fish you know that bait is the most important. Nice video!
Can you catch those spanish sardines down in miami or are they only really abundant up in your area?
Catch them in miami all the way down to the keys
Sure, I wish they had them down in Broward
SMH thanks for sharing the lat and long of all the good bait spots...
Pretty sure they're not top secret bud. There were no less than 10 boats at every spot we fished at. And what's the issue with helping other people learn and get better? That's how you grow a sport
Thanks for the bait numbers 🥱
They are not secret lol
you didnt go fishing because you had a dead battery ? Then im giving a down toot and changing the channel
We had to run 50 miles. Too far to go with an engine that would not run because of dead battery
DM'd you on IG to catch bait.
