World Science Festival Brisbane 2023 - The Hatchery turtle release

Queensland Museum Senior Scientist and Curator Herpetology,
Patrick Couper and the World Science Festival Brisbane team worked together to create an educational experience showcasing conservation efforts for the beloved Loggerhead turtles and the importance of this wonderful creature to the marine ecosystem.
Following the festival this year, we released over 100 Loggerhead turtle hatchlings 20 kilometers off the Sunshine Coast. Watch their journey here.
