Footage like this makes me think that 1960 was so long ago and so antiquated. Then you see a color video of hippies and everyday life, and realize they weren't that far behind today.
@Ethiopia Hindu first of all, you're capitalising like a kindergartener. Secondly, you need to understand that when a population becomes isolated, their language becomes different. Otherwise we'd have to tell the French, the Spaniards, the Portuguese, and the Romanians that they're spelling their language wrong, because they're not following the spelling of Italian, which is the language descended from Latin that is recognized as the formal language of the land where the original speakers of Latin lived in.
😀😍😍Isn't it amazing seeing this beautiful track as it was in the early 60s. There is a lovely corner named after the legend Sir Stirling Moss, one of the sweetest corners taken on a bike👍🏻
You might find this strange, but Stirling's corner isn't actually named after Sir Stirling Moss. It's named after a farm that used to be right next to the circuit which was called Stirling's.
When they mention Senna’s era difficult to drive I say what about Sir Moss times? No safety whatsoever. I had the privilege to meet him in person 17 years ago. Still had his passion for driving.
Hey Sandeep, were you the same Sandeep Banerjee who used to be on Race Sim Central and GPLEA forums? I remember you well. You were one of the good guys!
R.i.p Stirling Moss he passed away today 12/4/2020 aged 90.
Uno de los grandes. STIRLING MOSS.
Crawling by today's standards, though extremely impressive by 1960 standards.
No fencing anywhere, I didn't know the inside of druids used to be completely trees, it's one of the best places to stand now!
Looking at his 'worn out helmet' todays helmets would cost more than the car he was driving.Paddock hill bend is still bloody wonderful.

Well, it's 61 years ago. Pretty long.
@Ethiopia Hindu Not sure what you're trying to say, man.
@Ethiopia Hindu It was needless, rude, and incorrect on your part since that's the American spelling.
@Ethiopia Hindu Also, can you capitalise properly?

Totally smooth, totally masterful. The English "Mistro".
That pit lane complex must have cost MILLIONs to build.
Are you mocking the magnificent Brands Hatch?
Tony Broderick yea he is,what you gonna do about it
Money can't buy it. In fact it takes away it's true essence.
Interestingly, the pit area was not in the infield. When did they build the current pit area?
Rest in peace...
Magnífico documento ......
Magnificent :]

@@scsutton1 OMG! I didn't know that. Sheene most def named after the great man tho isn't it?
RIP whats a true gentleman
“What’s a true gentleman”. You got likes for that comment but nobody replied to your question. Tsk tsk.
The run from Hawthorne to Stirling's seems like it flowed a lot better in the original long layout.
Yeah, they've brought Westfield bend and what is now Sheene curve back a fair distance from their original layout. Still a helluva good drive, though.

The circuit looks very 'raw'. Was this after a lengthening?
Yeah, the circuit was expanded that year. Used to just be the Indy layout.
