    Great. This is happening in our lifetime.
    I really thought that riding a subway was an "out of the country" only experience . Excited for this development.

    Please award the remaining segments! But that segment going to Bicutan? Why not just build line connecting the 3 major NAIA Terminals and PITX. NSCR will run at that segment.

      Sunod ang sabi noon ay full operation na daw by 2028. Pero ngayon ay inatras na nila ang full operation by one year.

      2022 nga sabi ni Tugade partial operation bago bumaba d30 haha pati Lrt 1 cavite extension December 2021 partial ops isasabay sa Unified grand central station daw Olats din,.. Bumaba si D30 2022 hindi pa Umuusad Tunnel boring, February 2023 na Lumarga TBM at construction

      @@wavemaker2077 Sad to say DOTr are struggling to stick to schedule. I am surprise JICA has not pull the plug due to rising costs due to delay. What I hear and see are excuses. Nothing against Sec. Tugade. it's the people below him that need to achieve their targets and fulfill what they say will be done. Usec Batan is incompetent to say the least in even explaining the delays. What he needs to address how they get back on the schedule.

    1. Jeepney Route going to Pasig City Hall and Pasig East Side
    2. Free shuttle service going to Ayala Malls the 30th, Robinsons Galleria, and SM Megamall.

    I am a bit surprise on the delays in the subway project schedule considering JICA is funding the project. During the Sec.Tugade Administration he stated that there will be a partial operation of three stations as early as 2024. What happened? Why is tunnel boring only started now!! So the million dollar boring machines were sitting in dust for almost a year!!! Sec. Batan is struggling to provide an honest answer.

      If you have listened to the video... there were problems with right of way. Philippines is a democracy, it doesn't have the right to just take land owned by citizens at will unlike in some communist or authoritarian countries.

      I am not sure the right of way is the issue. It became an issue when preparatory activities prior to commencement of engineering and construction did not progress on schedule. Right of way issue should have been resolved prior to engineering and construction. There seemed to be difficulty in the negotiations of owners and DOTR and or GenCon whoever is responsible for sorting the right of way. Planing schedule was screwed up.

    One major hurdle is the construction of stations in BGC, one near BGC Toyota and the other one is in Market Market Taguig. Hindi pa naumpisahan yan kahit one percent.

      problema kasi masiyadong inaartehan ang mga station, gusto ata gawing mall.. Dito sa Seoul ang daming station mga simple lang pero it can accommodate lot of passengers..

    Lawyer like Batan won't be able tell you the technical aspects of the issues and concerns on the subway. You need a Project Engineer to explain the complexity of the project. What are the pre-construction activities, what's wrong with right of way. who are the people involved, etc.

In cases where monthly updates may not be feasible, it is essential to consider quarterly updates to maintain transparency. Communication should go beyond verbal reports, incorporating actual video footage or presentations to substantiate that the work is actively in progress, rather than relying solely on verbal assurances. This approach allows the public to verify whether the achieved partial completion aligns with the proposed plan outlined in the Project Development Schedule (PDS). The responsibility for this communication should be delegated to the Project Manager to keep stakeholders informed of any delay or progress. Hope this makes sense!

Ang issue talaga is the lack of transparency in progress, relying solely on reported information, especially when there are no media outlets focused on such projects. Unlike during FPRRD's time when there were regular cabinet meetings discussing the progress of his BBB. The Project Development Schedule (PDS), along with actual presentations, should be easily accessible to the public, placed on the job site and the official website. As the Project Manager, this doesn't hinder their work as they consolidate input from assigned engineers in different project areas. Including actual videos and photos of accomplishments is crucial here, ensuring they are not manipulated images. If deceptive practices are employed, those responsible must be penalized, possibly ejected, and have their licenses revoked, with imprisonment as appropriate.
      This way, there's no need for speculation, as the public can observe the interview, because the data is factual, adhering to the PDS progress report and the actual presentation.
      It's crucial to note that suppliers or contractors can easily manipulate how they present project progress, especially for significant projects without regular inspection. If government representatives assigned to these projects have sinister intentions and collude with suppliers or contractors, they can easily inform the public about "TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES" or "TECHNICAL ISSUES," and non-technical individuals may not have grounds to argue if more time is claimed to resolve the issues. This kind of reasoning is common when a project is delayed or halted. That's why a progress report, along with actual footage, is important for easy comparison before and after through progress footage. It's crucial to ensure that accomplishments match the agreed plan outlined in the PDS - if not, suppliers or contractors should compensate.
      Transparency allows everyone to monitor and understand what is genuinely happening at every phase of the project. This approach helps eliminate the potential for "COVER-UP and FAKE" reports about the project, protecting the people's money from manipulative ways of presenting project progress, as observed in many previous administrations, of course not under FPRRD.
      Some well-known vested interests this administration practices include intimidation and oppression, as observed openly, particularly this "TAMBALOSLOS speaker":
      - The "TAMBALOSLOS speaker" provides assistance to victims of bombings and calamities ONLY if his baboy FACE and NAME are attached to the package.
      - Assistance is provided only if the suffering areas complete a formal request for help, even if they have already suffered for many days, and some are already dead. This is the NEW policy for the government to provide help to victims, telecasted in a press conference with the president and his SAP, stating "NO REQUEST, NO HELP." This NEW policy may apply only to regions or areas not declaring loyalty to the "TAMBALOSLOS speaker," indicating that the president may not be running the country, and the "TAMBALOSLOS speaker" makes the decisions on who will receive help and who are doesn't.
      - This administration wants people to suffer so they can be easily manipulated by money. All LGUs and government officials must submit themselves to receive assistance, agreeing to put the baboy FACE and NAME of the "TAMBALOSLOS speaker" on the package.
      - The "EXTRAORDINARY EXPENSES" of all congressmen conniving with the "TAMBASLOSLOS speaker" where the "RESIBO" is difficult to produce, as they know that if accounted for with receipts, the public will know they are not using it for the nation but for themselves.
      - And many more...
      This is why "TRANSPARENCY" is crucial for the government to adhere to for every projects, as it is the only TOOL the citizens of this country have to determine whether the government is truly working for the people and not wasting the money entrusted to them.

    lets all be positive na lang for all this project, yung pagiging matagal madalas hindi ma iiwasan yan sa dami ng issue pwedeng kaharapin, supposably all this projects could be started and done decades ago, but as we all know our elders choose poorly who will lead our country that time. they think Emotionally rather than Rationally, and us new and the much newer generation should be Better than our Elders and avoid putting the wrong people, really old people to lead us for our and our kids Future.

    need to produce more things like food, personal items, to bring down the cost of commodities and basic goods plus bring down the cost of electricity so people's purchasing power will increase. The salary is so low and cost of goods are so high in the PHilippines that the purchasing power of ordinary Filipino is so low. Cost of housing, food, commodities should be relative to the wages of the local people. Sad to say only ofws and foreigners are the ones who can afford the cost of things in the PHilippines that's why you have a lot of people in poverty. The salaries are not enough to cover daily basic necessities. relying on ofw salaries and foreigners is not good

      First kasi. So mahirap talaga yan. May blema pa sa right of way at common yan sa mga projects ng dpwh. Good start na yan. May tunnel boring machine capability na tayo and dpwh should have always have a project like this para wlaang brain drain or we have engineers na to work in this kind of projects. Besides malayo pa tayo. Wala sa pa 2k kilomoters ang mga rails natin.

      @@AgapornisIris888 its because napaka expensive ng rail system. we have issues politically after the fall of dictator marcos. From destabilization, 98 and 2008 financial crisis. This system requires so much money in building na kulang ang 1b dollars na puhonan. And we dont have that kind money. Corruptions rampant pa. But good thing gumaganda na ang image natin. JICA Is stepping up its presence in PH means may future outlook na yan sa bansa natin.

      @@AgapornisIris888 we dont have. Even now we lack funds thats why we ask funding from international institutions. This one is from JICA. The North South Commuter even from JICA. The Cebu BRT is from World Bank the mindanao rails supposed to be from China but dropped.

      Pagkakaalam ko PPP project yan, private funded so I don't think magagatasan ng pulitiko, hope so. Mostly on legality issues ang role ng government dito.

    This is really disappointing. Real engineers should be running the show instead of bureaucrats and lawyers. It’s pure incompetence that they have not resolved the issues given the high profile of the project. They are wasting too much time

    Ang right of way "issue" ay resulta ng KAWALAN NG RESPONSIBILIDAD na siguruhin ang karapatan ng mga nagmamayari ng lupa kasama na ang ambisyon ng pulitiko.
    Kung tutuusin, walang "issue" kung BIBILHIN NYO NA LAHAT NG APEKTADONG LUPA BAGO nyo simulan ang proyekto. Tatagal? Aabutin ng taon? Hindi makontak mayari ng lupa para bilhin? O hindi nanggaling rin sa bibig nyo. Atat kayo lagi magpatayo ng proyekto at wala kayong intensyon na tapusin ang mala "land grabber" nyong pananaw. Ang pagbili ng mga loteng nasa right of way ang dapat nyong pabilisin.
    Ganyan lagi. INIIPIT nyo ang mga mayari ng lupa para magbenta. Irresponsable iyon hindi ba? Pero sila may kasalanan? Bakit hindi kayo umako ng responsibilidad? Bawat Pilipino ay may karapatang magmay ari ng lupa. Bakit parang kasalanan nila na sagabal sila sa plano nyo? E dapat kinakausap nyo sila BAGO KAYO MAGBUTAS NG LUPA.
    Hindi nakakapanalo ng eleksyon ang magantay? Sino ngayon ang uhaw sa kapangyarihan? Public Servant kayo hindi ba? Dapat inuuna nyo ang RESPONSABLENG pagsisilbi kaysa pulitika. Ang IPITIN ang mga land owner na tinuturing nyong "sagabal" sa right of way kahit na karapatan nilang magmayari ng lote ay PAMUMULITIKA. Plain and Simple.
    Wala kayong ginagawang paraan O TINATAYONG AHENSYA NG GOBYERNO na ang tanging gagawin ay bumili ng right of way na kailangan nyo. WALA. AT ALAM NATING LAHAT IYAN. Tutukan nyo ng atensyon ang mga solusyon na hindi makakapanalo ng boto kaysa sa pamumulitika.

    Baka dumagdag sa tagal ng construction ay yung iba't ibang disensyo at sobrang arte na mga station.. I'm not saying na gawing sobrang simple tulad ng sa may LRT extension ba yon na mukhang warehouse ang design.. Dito sa Seoul halos lahat ng station magkakamukha at simple lang but it can accommodate lot of passengers.. May mga station na may mga stores pero konti lang hindi tulad sa MM subway na plano ata lagyan ng mall bawat station.. Yung common station nga hindi pa natatapos pabulok na ata sa tagal ng paggawa..

    So yung 40% na ipinagmamalaki nila ay kasali pala ang planning stage at procurement. 😂😂😂 Pero yung actual construction, ayaw aminin na delayed na sila ng isang taon. Pano nangyari yun? Nung nagsimula silang maghukay, ang sinabi ay full operation na by 2028. Last year lang yata sila nagsimula ng tunnel boring pero delayed na agad sila ng isang taon.

      Mas matindi naman kay Tugade sabi 2022 partial operation, eh Bumaba d30 July 2022 Kaha palang yung Tunnel Boring machine dpa assemble... February 2023 na umusad 2 TBM.. Ngayon may 6 na na TBM ready to move na 2 asa North ave,at ongoing na Shaw station.

    What’s the point of saying it’s at “point of no return”? It’s been under construction for years already. The moment the government spent millions or billions in the beginning of the project, it’s already at point of no return. Otherwise it’s a waste of taxpayers’ money if they stopped now.       We can't because of Article 12 of the 1987 Constitution dahil transportation only allowed 40% of ownership to foreigners. Buti sana kung puro Japanese ang handler ng mga railways natin. Wag kayong mag-alala, kung may Chinese man, 70% sa kanila, puro blacklisted sa Pilipinas.

      Besides, wala akong paki kay Tugade. Kung palpak din sya eh di katulad lang ng DOTR ngayon na palpak din.

      @@dinomonzon1529 Well, maraming mga website na nagsabi na January 2023 nagsimula ang excavation work ng tbm. Besides, walang bearing kung January 2023 or February 2023 ang start ng tbm. Delayed na ng one year ang full operation ng subway just one year after announcing na full operation na ang subway by 2028.

    This subway could become a super huge IMBURNAL during heavy rains or typhoons, considering the history of how floods have turned into nightmares in Metro Manila during heavy rains. I hope the engineers who designed this project are NOT educated in the Philippines; otherwise, it could be a catastrophe.

    Traffic will not improve even with all this new public transportation. Just look at other cities around the world that have subway systems that are far more efficient than the one in Manila.
