Was never a part of the rave scene, however was submersed in another golden era of music at that time...hip hop. I had mates at college who were ravers, one guy put a tape together for me which I loved. That tape is long gone sadly, there were loads of tunes along these lines, but Here Come the Drums was a stand out tune for me. (Probably closer to DnB I guess) thanks for this video though, awesome!
Cheers for sharing mate 👊 'Here Come The Drumz' is a killer track. If you liked that, check out the 'Reinforced Records' episode I did some time back...it's the label that tune was pressed on. Some incredible tracks on that label 😎👇 ruclips.net/video/j6T0dlU9vAM/видео.html
1992. My favourite year. Awesome parties. Fantazia and universe parties were epic. I live just up the road from Tribal Gathering so it was easy to get to. Wish I could go back. Rave on. Big up the OG Goldiggerz crew. Subscribed.
What to say about that?!?... 92 was the best, so many avenues with beats, vocals, pianos, bleeps and later on... Flirtation with darkness... Just brilliant...Energizer ripped the floor up, Basement records with the heartbeat,XL with the muscle....And like you, perfect description and ending with Dub War ( What an Ep by the way)....Will always bring a tear to my eye, just magical.... Brilliant work this, love your work
Luv the salute to GnR and slash!!. Anyway, 91-92 was when it all started i think... The music, the little fellas, the whole scene... although 89-90 was banging, 92 i think is where it all came together..... Anyway, Orange at the palace next week.. yeeeahh... Chris Paul and co.... Randall will be missed xx
Yeah Slash is a dude...and GNR were awesome (although I wish they'd retire and stop performing now to be honest). Hope you have a gooden at Orange. It'll be banging no doubt 👊

So many classic timeless tracks. Dub War is a beast and just is that image & sound of the huge outdoor raves of 92. So many huge huge events held in 1992. It was the year of the Raves!! So many promoters. Universe , Book Of Love Amnesia,Fantazia events and The huge other massive ones like Galactica, world dance event! Lydd airport Obsession, Rezerection, Eurodance Andromeda & of course Castle Morton the enigma! while the charts were filled with the biggest dance floor anthems of that year. All Nighters every weekend all over the uk. Magical moments. Scotland crew we travelled down to Universe by bus. 15 hours to get there, 10 hours of madness 🕊️ then 13 hours back up to Scotland wired to the moon. 😋😳🤯. Excellent vlogs and your passion is wicked.
We Returned to The Universe Tribal Gathering by bus Again with DJ Kid on His bus to lower pertwood farm in Warminster in April 30th 1993. Mad thinking about how much we would go to just to experience the best beautiful raves down south including club night at Sterns only once by car that time! Couldn’t even imagine doing that nowadays my friend. 👊. 😳👈🤯
Got it one Jake I couldn’t agree more! When I tell the younger generation what we did they are bamboozled by it. Only we know how much it meant to us all. Great work Jake. 👍
Your series hits me in so many ways: - Memories! - Lack of memories! - The love of my music collection - my wallet in chasing some on Discogs and where and can justify it - my heart in realising I missed a repress - my heart when I relent I buy digital when I find it on iTunes!! Big ups!!🎉🎉
Funnily enough, the first time I heard Dub wars was at the universe rave in Bath. I can still remember that I was talking to a friend. And when we heard it drop both of us just feel silent and legged it to the dance floor. And as I recall it was played a lot that night. 😁😁. Great tunes, looking forward to the whole mix.
What an episode!! I LOVE 92! The tunes were exceptional. Glad you liked the slipmats mate. They look great. Derriscott and myself produced a 1992 30th anniversary series on Mixcloud for his radio show. Funnily enough it was called The Golden Year Of Rave. Also did a Fantazia Summertime episode to celebrate 30 years since that awesome event. Looking forward to the full mix mate. PLUR to you and all viewers. Big love ♥️🙏
You do a grand job of taking us back. Thanks for that! So glad I lived it. 92 was the best year IMO. In Belfast the terror gangs got in on the scene in 93 and the "innocence" was lost. I do think 93 was the best year for music though.
I saw Prodigy at Cambridge Sports Centre Feb 29 92. Classic all nighter. On the roof pilled up looking down on the police station opposite. You omitted another classic chart tune from 92 - Rebel MC Rich ah gettin Richer, definitely hardcore.
Great vid. Absolute love Dream Finder for all the craziness stabbiness at the start (and the difference from the original). Frustrates me a bit in the second half (after where you pull it off) as it drifts off a bit. Still an absolute banger. 12:51 That stab is one of my absolute favourites from the era. Confrontational, edgy, rude, minor key. Also on Trip2T I love the "suddenly" sample dropped in. Little things, innit. 28:19 With that peek of a simple you've just reminded me of G-Double-E 'Fire When Ready' which I haven't heard in an age. Top work Jake.
1990 1991 1992 were the best years for raving best tunes best drugs proper ecstacy end of 1992 jungle landed and it was moody we went from proper music to people smoking crack pipes original jungle music you couldn't dance to that
Yeah what a tune that is 👊 Actually, incase you haven't seen it yet, I included that tune in the '92 Pick n Mix' episode 👇 ruclips.net/video/Q9FirXAWLI0/видео.html
Oh Yes Oh Yes.... My DJ's Intense, He DJ's in tents....!!!! This was the year my good fellow.. Starting late 1991 (or early 1992...lol) at the Fantazia NYE at Westpoint, I think it was pretty much every weekend after that. We were very lucky as loads of the parties were held in the West Country and being from SN1 there was always something going on locally, spoilt really... Remember (God knows how) one weekend that we went to Universe 'In 2 Orbit' on the Friday and then from Saturday Morning to Monday afternoon (must've been a bank holiday weekend) at the free party in Lechlade (Spiral Tribe, Circus Warp & Bedlam...mental) Fantazia Summertime, Mythology, Perception, Dance Planet, countless Universe and Obsession parties to follow, what a year... f*cking amazing times.... Great mix and some great tunes, was surprised there was no Force Mass Motion tunes, but as you said there was so many tunes, a veritable tsunami of vinyl washing over us adrenaline rave tune junkies. Keep up the good work and i'll get that mixcloud link to you soon, just doing a bit of maintenance on the mixes at the mo. See you on the dancefloor brother...☺
Ha ha...hello Jamie mate 👊 Yeah sounds like you were well and truly doin' the do at that time. Force Mass Motion would've sat comfortably in there for sure...but I wanna do a mix of just Mike's stuff on it's own at some point. Yes, send me over the Mixcloud whenever your ready 👊
Urban Hype - I Feel the Heat is special for me. Those school bells set me off BITD. Summer of 92' ravin and misbehavin as a mad lad changed me forever. All these tracks were absolute bangers though Jake especially Dub War.🎷 the vocals, synthy stabs into drums, that bass...masterpiece. Hope everyone is doing well ❤. Keep working out if you are able, we need it at our age just don't over do it when listening to all these amazing tunes lol.
This is a brilliant vid, really well put together and the tunes were ace, ending on arguably the best hardcore tune of 92 for me. I was a couple of years too young to frequent any of those raves, but I was regularly listening to Stu Allan on Piccadilly Key 103. Fond memories indeed. Thanks again pal, just what I needed.
in 92 i was only 9 but my 16 year old cousin was playing all these hardcore tunes in his car with big speakers and sub woofers back then it blew my mind and it stuck with me for life, now all i listen to is electronic music mainly house
They year i left school. I can still remember the day and place I first heard dance music for the first time . I love old school hardcore great work well done ❤❤
I remember seeing a very realistic robot in a warehouse rave on Lea Bridge Road back in '92... havent seen anything that realistic since!... loving the video and tracks btw brought back bere memories
Ah man, such a good video, your story telling and spot on vocabulary is 👌👌 '92 definitely the year for my mates and I: Discovering Sterns, 1st allnighters both indoors (Dance 92) and outdoors ( The Book of Love), seeing Prodigy and Altern 8 at The Event, several Fantazias, Vision etc I actually organised a coach trip from Eastbourne to Castle Donnington from my friend Claires clothing shop, KISS! Such a golden time ❤🎵🤪👊
Jake! Just finished watching your vid. WOW! First time watcher. The rave scene is a massive part of who you are! Who I am and I believe plenty of others feel the same way. All we had was love for each other ( certain substances ) helped for sure but we were free and you’ve captured the heart of the rave movement for sure ❤ Loved to have met you back in the day 🤜🤛 The early 90’s was our 60’s. That tape is long gone sadly, there were loads of tunes along these lines, but Here Come the Drums was a stand out tune for me. (Probably closer to DnB I guess) thanks for this video though, awesome!
Cheers for sharing mate 👊
'Here Come The Drumz' is a killer track. If you liked that, check out the 'Reinforced Records' episode I did some time back...it's the label that tune was pressed on. Some incredible tracks on that label 😎👇

1992. My favourite year. Awesome parties. Fantazia and universe parties were epic. I live just up the road from Tribal Gathering so it was easy to get to. Wish I could go back. Rave on. Big up the OG Goldiggerz crew. Subscribed.
😁👊❤️
Dub War is such a tune. I personally like Chapter 3 the most, but Chapter 1 is also so amazing. 💚
Yeah that's lovely too ❤️
What to say about that?!?...
Brilliant work this, love your work
Thanks for all that mate 👊❤️❤️
Luv the salute to GnR and slash!!. Anyway, 91-92 was when it all started i think... The music, the little fellas, the whole scene... although 89-90 was banging, 92 i think is where it all came together..... Anyway, Orange at the palace next week.. yeeeahh... Chris Paul and co.... Randall will be missed xx
Yeah Slash is a dude...and GNR were awesome (although I wish they'd retire and stop performing now to be honest).
Hope you have a gooden at Orange. It'll be banging no doubt 👊
@@rave-vinyl-reminiscence Yeah.. They've had their day!! (performance wise) But as we know, Music lives forever!!! ... Anyway, luv the vids mate... keep em coming...
@@masque3333 yes indeed 👍
And thank you mate 👊❤️
92 was a good year for all things rave, cheers Jake for another trip down memory lane. 🙌
Cheers to you mate 👊
Great year, great memories. Nitrous, Yikes and illegal raving. No worries, stress or commitments except when and where the next rave was.
Yep...simple formula 😁
And i was going raving and robberies started to happen i was aston vila lesure centre dance planet top tune banging
Absolute dedication there mate 🤝
Chemically enhanced motivation though it may have been 😆
We Returned to The Universe Tribal Gathering by bus Again with DJ Kid on His bus to lower pertwood farm in Warminster in April 30th 1993. Mad thinking about how much we would go to just to experience the best beautiful raves down south including club night at Sterns only once by car that time! Couldn’t even imagine doing that nowadays my friend. 👊. 😳👈🤯
@@Gavaldo 😆 I hear you mate.
I can hardly be bothered to get up for a piss in the night these days 😆
Got it one Jake I couldn’t agree more! When I tell the younger generation what we did they are bamboozled by it. Only we know how much it meant to us all. Great work Jake. 👍
@@Gavaldo Yes indeed 😊👊❤️
1992 was a great year for Hardcore and also Hip Hop
Your series hits me in so many ways:
- Memories!
- Lack of memories!
- The love of my music collection
- my wallet in chasing some on Discogs and where and can justify it
- my heart in realising I missed a repress
- my heart when I relent I buy digital when I find it on iTunes!!
Big ups!!🎉🎉
Ha 😆 glad to be hitting hard in so many good ways my friend 👊❤️❤️
I was 21 in 92. I don't remember a thing. I heard it was great though! 😄
😆👊
Funnily enough, the first time I heard Dub wars was at the universe rave in Bath. I can still remember that I was talking to a friend. And when we heard it drop both of us just feel silent and legged it to the dance floor. And as I recall it was played a lot that night. 😁😁. Great tunes, looking forward to the whole mix.
Sorry " fell silent" not feel.
Ha 😆 I remember that feeling...cutting off mid-sentence with someone and leggings it onto the dancefloor when a blinder came on 😆❤️
What an episode!!
They do look great 😊❤️
You've really put some choice sets together on that radio show mate 👊
Love it, i was aving it back then.
😁❤️
The peak of hardcore! melting pot city 🫠 love it mate
👊❤️
Don fm !
Good times bruvvah
Good times
👊❤️
Big up the nasty v aka Vernon langhorne
You do a grand job of taking us back. Thanks for that! So glad I lived it.
92 was the best year IMO. In Belfast the terror gangs got in on the scene in 93 and the "innocence" was lost. I do think 93 was the best year for music though.
Thanks mate 👊
Well..in some ways I have to agree with you, just based on the fact that so many other favourites of mine came out in 93 ❤️
I saw Prodigy at Cambridge Sports Centre Feb 29 92. Classic all nighter. On the roof pilled up looking down on the police station opposite.
You omitted another classic chart tune from 92 - Rebel MC Rich ah gettin Richer, definitely hardcore.
I bloody love this Jake. ❤ 1992 was the year I got into it. Never looked back 😂
Nice one Ollie 👊❤️
1992 was *the* year for hardcore.
...and coincidentally the year I started raving, 14 going on 15.
Amazing days, rudebwoy!
😊👍❤️
Some fantastic tunes there! I would have swapped out Acen’s “Close your eyes” for “Trip II The Moon (Part 3.) 👍
Yeah that's a timeless classis...it'll show up in a future mix for sure 👊
i miss those day's...i think i'm going to cry lol
🙏 I know mate ❤️👊
Dave Charlesworth..... that guy, where is he hes a ledge, all the energizers and his other stuff, its all gold
Yeah lots of great stuff from him 👊
Bro Rhythm Section commin on strong EP Ellis Dee was banging in 92
Some absolute beauties in there.
😊❤️
Cheers for sharing mate 👊❤️
1990 1991 1992 were the best years for raving best tunes best drugs proper ecstacy end of 1992 jungle landed and it was moody we went from proper music to people smoking crack pipes original jungle music you couldn't dance to that
this format is amazing, its all about the stories so much more!!! thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for being here 😊❤️
Yea ‘92 prob best year for Hardcore. So many but favourite tune from that year is Sy-Kick - Upside
Yeah what a tune that is 👊
Actually, incase you haven't seen it yet, I included that tune in the '92 Pick n Mix' episode 👇
ruclips.net/video/Q9FirXAWLI0/видео.html
@ nice one cheers 👍
I've got a tattoo of a cassette with "mix 1992" for a reason. Best year without a doubt.
👊😎
Ha ha...hello Jamie mate 👊
Yeah sounds like you were well and truly doin' the do at that time.
Yeah I Feel The Heat is quality !!!
Cheers mate...and yes, the working out has been a stable part of my life since I was a teenager...so important 🙏👊
Nice one mate thank you 👊
Nice video. Just stumbled across this and glad I did, nice to reminisce with some classics.
Great to have you here ❤️
Hope you enjoy the many other episodes in the archive 👊
Following spiral tribe 😉
the hall of mirrors at chessington zoo . love it
😁👊 Hocus Pocus Hall...I think it was called 🤔
Raindance's 35th at Fabric a couple of weeks back was banging. Saw a few headz down there....proper vibes all day, evening and early night!
Ah mate...I was supposed to go, but some family demands got in the way. Glad you had a gooden 👊
in 92 i was only 9 but my 16 year old cousin was playing all these hardcore tunes in his car with big speakers and sub woofers
back then it blew my mind and it stuck with me for life, now all i listen to is electronic music mainly house
They year i left school. I can still remember the day and place I first heard dance music for the first time . I love old school hardcore great work well done ❤❤
Thanks mate 👊
Monday is the best day for these vids mate! Dub Wars ! ☄️🌏
😊👊❤️
I remember seeing a very realistic robot in a warehouse rave on Lea Bridge Road back in '92... havent seen anything that realistic since!... loving the video and tracks btw brought back bere memories
🤖 😁👊
Ah man, such a good video, your story telling and spot on vocabulary is 👌👌
'92 definitely the year for my mates and I:
Discovering Sterns, 1st allnighters both indoors (Dance 92) and outdoors ( The Book of Love), seeing Prodigy and Altern 8 at The Event, several Fantazias, Vision etc
I actually organised a coach trip from Eastbourne to Castle Donnington from my friend Claires clothing shop, KISS! Such a golden time ❤🎵🤪👊
Excellent man 🙏 and here we are still mate...loving it, although bouncing a little slower these days 😆
Dub war my favorite
Cool tunes
I'm 6/7 years too young
I wish I'd been old enough to dance to this stuff at the time
Always remember a song called a juicy red apple by skin up, will likely never hear that one again.

Peace and love brother ❤ Keep on Ravin!!
Hey mate how you doing 👊
Thanks for that lovely comment. Really glad you found the channel and connected with the video. Hopefully the many other episodes in the archive hit home for you too😊.
Love and respect to you my friend ❤️
Bad Boy Come Again!!
😎❤️
Top notch episode again Jake..brought back a mountain of memories & just pure vibes. Amazing how all of these tunes have personal attachments to them & 32 years later mean so much to us all. Great times, i just loved getting mashed & raving. Much Respect as ever & look forward to the full mix dropping 👊🏻
Cheers Andy. Yeah what amazes me is that I think I actually adore these tunes ever more now than I did then. Which is going some.
@@rave-vinyl-reminiscence I'm on the same page as you there my friend 👍🏻 these tunes have stood the test of time & the more I spin them in my old age 😁, my love for them & others from the golden era grows ever fonder 👊🏻
@andyh1917 Yeah we appreciate them more now for sure ❤️
Dreamfinder what a tune!
Great tunes esp Dub War, Hardcore Rhythm Team/Ragga Clash was always a favourite amongst my mates in ‘92 👊
👊❤️
Labyrinth Hackney 1992. White Gloves. No Top. Dennis the Menace. I was Gnasher!
😆👊❤️
Mate. A brilliant vid, and channel, cheers.
Thank you my friend ...great to have you onboard 👊❤️
Acen tune reminds me of a rave we went to in newcastle called nocturnal think it was around early 92 march possibly.?🤷🏻♂️🤔😂. Just looked it up. It was the 14th march 92 , not a bad guess for back then .😂😂😂
Crikey mate...that was a great shot 😀
Banging. Sounds of my youth.
Must say also, you must have the only turntables I know that holds its pitch perfect!!😂
A combination of well maintained decks ... and 800 obsessive attempts 😂
As always great tunes, 100% agree dub war is up there with the very best of them. The engergizer series was pure class.Surprised you never droped M-D-emm Get down another epic tune.92 so many amazing tunes and just not enough friday and saturday nights in the week to go to all them raves we was blessed with.edit think get down was 91 😧
I'll have to look it up and check...great tune though 👊❤️
That piano section of "total feeling" gives me mad goosebumps every time, can only imagine how intense that must have been at a rave 🤯
Thanks for this pre-Xmas treat Jake, what a great way to start December 💪🏻
Yeah that's a cracker over a big system 😎
My breakfast turns into an hour long affair when you drop a new video 😂 it’s just oats and eggs ffs
😂👊❤️
