Just got a yd-2s. My build is the YD-2s with a 3000mah 7.4v shorty lipo by rheed, a 20 turn Arrma Mega SRS motor, I already have wheels, getting yokomo DRA competition drift tires, I have a receiver and transmitter, and I got a heavy duty metal gear servo, and I'm getting the aluminum servo horn, new suspension, and maybe the carbon deck. Love the car, oh almost forgot, I'm getting a Toyota MR2 aw11 body, because I have one irl, and an fd rx7, and I have a esc that came with my tt-02, ill probably get a different one, also my YD-2S comes with the YG-302 gyro, I think thats why its the YD-2S and not the YD-2. I think the S just comes with a gyro and probably slightly different bits here and there. same basic thing though.
great video!!! ........ i also run a yd2 with a 10.5t sensored brushless motor/esc combo on a 4200 shorty pack and i get like 5 hours run time on out local tile course .. Falcon hobby/ BlackStar Drift
You should give Motiv RC products a try. I run for them for 1/10th offroad indoor racing. They have phenomenal batteries and really powerful motors. Theyre all assembled by hand.
Awesome video man! Been jumping between an MST RMX 2.0 S and this Yokomo chassis. Great to hear your impressions of the chassis and your setup. Might just have to get both!
Nice! Can't wait to see the overview! I've been doing some research and I'm really intrigued by this Yeah Racing SPT2-D RWD. It's a touring car/drifter that can be converted to either or. This hobby is so addicting, especially if you're a car enthusiast!
hey, i considering YD-2 Plastic vs Usukina PDS. PDS hace alot of good design improve from YD2, but price wise is double of YD-2. should i get YD2 or PDS ?
As a person who will rarely have time to get to a track, do you think I can still enjoy an RWD car like this in real world conditions? Even as far as driving it on Asphalt outside. I can buy one 250-400 dollar RC, and I am thinking about what to get, still deciding between truggy, short course, drift, and crawlers
i love my yd2 e i just put big bore dampers on it and i have a futabu controller and a yokomo servo and yokomo speed controller and the yokomo 302 i thimk gyro i kno theres a 4 but ill get that next ... i just want a yokomo engine and ill be good
Hey 7demo7, I’ve been wanting to get into RC drifting I’m debating on the YD-2S or YD-2E. What would you recommend? What are your thoughts? I’d like to drift mostly on concrete(like drive ways) and maybe asphalt.
thank you so much I was trying to figure out why I had no droop that's the only part of the car that had me stumped 7 demo 7 I appreciate the help thank you
hi , i have a yd2s so my questions is ; - will the trick with the blue rings on the upper arm also work or is this only if you have a carbon chassis ? - i would do the following upgrades ; - alu steering rack - alu upper and lower A arm set - bigbore damperset . is this goog enough for a future hobby drifter ? greetings dimitri
MST has a less expensive option.. Associated Apex Drift is a neutral 4wd that is fun for outside and in the driveway. The funny thing is- the Yokomo yd2 is one of the least expensive serious drifters but there a few price points that can easily make the car 2-3k!
very thanks! , what is the toe in rear and toe out front? for a ceramic tile.... what are the best tyre option? the same of concrete? Thanks again for your help ;)
Would you recommend this car for somebody just getting into the sport or would it be better to start off with a four-wheel drive and work my way into two wheel
Yes, the YD2 basic is a great starting point. 4 wheel drive is less expensive but more things break. 4wd is also good and cheap if you are running in your driveway or garage- nothing serious. 2wd is better for the track- slower more scale drifting that you can drift alongside your buddies (you can do this with 4wd too but its expensive and going out of style)
Turnigy 4200 from hobbyking or Yokomo 3000 mah- both good. I like any of the isdt chargers- you will need a power supply though, I think isdt sells one as well
How is the Gen Ace 5000mAH 60 C battery? www.genstattu.com/gens-ace-5000mah-7-4v-60c-2s2p-hardcase-lipo-battery-shorty-pack.html is 60c too strong and could damage the electronics? In addition, ISDT chargers need a power supply? I thought you just plug those into the wall socket.
Switch your wheels put the 12 mm up front 8 in the back you're drifting will get a whole lot better right now your car is struggling to drift because you have a wide rear track narrow the track the car becomes more easy to drift
Can you help me out please the upper aluminum arms they have an insert piece at end bull cup holder somethink of aluminum piece can you tell me where to find that piece it doesn't come with the upper arms
Great tips dude. I just bought a plastic YD2.
It's a great car!!!

So did you get both? If you did which one is better, been jumping between the two too.
what also helps is if you take your battery am=nd move it to the back it helps with weight

You have a 1/10 scale RTR to try out drifting before I drop 3-4x more cash that you would recommend? Thanks

What battery and charger would you recommend for best value and performance if money was not an issue?

Masterpiece 👌💎
Can you help me out please the upper aluminum arms they have an insert piece at end bull cup holder somethink of aluminum piece can you tell me where to find that piece it doesn't come with the upper arms
They come in different lengths= Go to Vertex RC USA = they carry them on the website
Jeff whats the size of the servo horn you using for the yokomo 17 , 20 or 23
17
7demo7 thanx bro
what do you have urea droop screw setting to the manual says to mm out but the arms are way too high for that setup can you help me
everyone removes the droop screws.
Is necesary put Grease un the gearbox?thanks!
The kit comes with 10,000 weight oil for the internal differential gears. No grease should be used in the gear box / idler gears.
@@7demo7review thanks! ;)
That's really how you check ride height??????
It don't matter anybody who really likes yokomo understand what you were saying
That's a yd2 plus upper and lower deck.
you're correct!,, I'll put a correction in...
Ahh I could not get 4wd.
the shory battery is way better
Thank you so much I appreciate it 7 demo 7
I want to get into this but my wallet is screaming right now :(
Body Posts ruin all of it...
+Mike Hale I know lots of guys that use magnet mount - their bodies are flying off all the time - I never have that to Situation
Are they using strong rare earth magnets and the body still come off?
how do you use that esc it okay has a 1 amp bec and everytime i used mine it jammed the bec. also it seems to loose calibration easy
