    Good job Phil, nicely done sir! Additional strategically placed sockets are something many of us could certainly do with once we have familiarised ourselves with living in our ‘vans... 👍🏻 ✅
    Thanks for that and the useful links & cheers for now, Rog... 👍🏻 😉 🐍

    This is actually very relevant.

    I'm going to put a matching double socket / USB next to the bed slat box for phones, table lamp etc 😊

    Hiya Phil,
    I did the same and put one on the outside of the van.
    I also need one in the rear too But,
    When I asked the service engineer he said,, and I quote.
    I already have the maximum sockets.
    Because he has t assume that when all of them are on you could overload them and cause a fire..
    That being said, a great little video.👍

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  4 года назад

      Thanks Colin As I said in the video its just for Juliets machine which is only used at night when the load is at its lowest. Also the consumer unit is the same as the 2020 which already has this socket fitted. Thanks for the advice. Phil🙂👍

      lost weekends caravan I agree Phil,
      It’s just a little warning for people who think they can add more sockets without thinking.
      I don’t want people to add more sockets then comes the time to service the van and it fails the safety test.

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  Год назад

      Hi Dave. The plate cover should be pinched either side to remove. Use a plastic pry tool to remove the plastic chrome front cover. The screws are behind the cover. Hope this helps. Phil👍🙂

      @@lostweekendscaravan Thanks for your reply. The front cover is easy, it was the backing plate that the socket fits into that I was interested in. Try as I might, I cannot get the socket and the backing tube that it slides into to separate.
